This tough tow bar is engineered to be easy to use and more than up to the task of pulling your heavy vehicle. Extra-long arms help you make tight turns. Cable guides protect your safety cables and power cord, and keep your setup organized.

The BlackHawk 2 is designed to make hooking up your toad (towed vehicle) a smooth and easy process. The telescoping arms are able to extend to the needed length and angle to reach the base plate without the need for your vehicle to be perfectly level or in the exact right spot behind your RV. The inner arms are stainless steel and will slide in and out smoothly. Supremely corrosion resistant, they'll stay rust-free and functional for the life of the tow bar.
Slide the tow bar into your hitch and pin it in place. Get the arms connected to the base plate one at a time. Once you're all hooked up, slowly pull forward and the self-aligning arms will fully extend and lock into the towing position. Double check that the arms are properly latched and you'll be ready to hit the road!
The BlackHawk's arms are longer than average, giving you an above-average turning radius. You're going to be able to get around obstacles and make sharp turns with no worry of clipping the corner of your RV. Maneuver through gas stations and the campsite no problem.
Uneven ground and sharp angles can put the arms of the tow bar in a bind and make them stiff and immoveable. Once you get to your destination, the last thing you need is to spend several minutes wrestling, yanking, and kicking at them to get your car disconnected.
Instead, get out of a bind in one easy step. Simply flip the latch on the arm of the BlackHawk 2 to disengage the internal latch. This releases the pent-up pressure so you can unhook and get on with your adventure.
The BlackHawk 2 comes with cable guides built into the arms, which offer a great way to keep your setup organized. By threading your safety cables and power cord (both sold separately) through the guides, you'll keep them from dragging on the ground and getting damaged. It's also a great way to keep all your gear together. You won't need to find a separate place to store your cables; you can keep them right there where you need them, ready for the next time you flat tow.
The BlackHawk 2 All-Terrain is engineered to be as tough and durable as possible. Throughout the design process, rigorous physical and computerized testing is done, including Finite Elemental Analysis (FEA). Each of these tests displays a 3-dimensional image of the tow bar while it is put under thousands of pounds of pressure. Areas of stress in the tow bar can then be located and studied so that those areas can be strengthened. This process is repeated until any weak spots, particularly those found in load-bearing components, are completely removed. The result is a product that is durable, strong, and safe.
The BlackHawk 2 folds up to conveniently store on the back of your RV when you're not using it. After disconnecting from your toad, push the arms of the tow bar together so that they are side by side. Push the tow bar up until the holding latch clicks into place. The arms can then swing to the right or to the left, whichever side you want to store it on.
For added protection from the elements, slip the Roadmaster tow bar cover (RM-055-3 - sold separately) over the BlackHawk 2 when you're not using it.
Flat towing can be a much more convenient way to take your car RVing with you than using a trailer or a tow dolly. It'll save you storage space both at home and at the campsite, and it takes less time and hassle to hook up.
To flat tow your vehicle, there are 5 basic components you're going to need: a tow bar, a base plate kit, a safety cable set, tow bar wiring, and a flat tow braking system.
For the RV | Between the RV and Towed Car | For the Towed Car |
---|---|---|
Hitch | Tow bar | Base Plate |
Wiring plug | Safety cables | Braking system |
Wiring adapter cord | Wiring kit/diodes |
The custom-fit base plate installs on the frame of your toad so you can connect the car to your RV with a tow bar. Hook up safety cables between the vehicles to ensure that the toad does not separate from the motorhome if the tow bar becomes detached. Tow bar wiring syncs your vehicle's signal lights with your motorhome's tail lights, as required by law in most states. Finally, the flat tow braking system - also required in most states - activates the brakes in the toad when you hit the brakes in the RV, making for smoother, safer braking, and preventing wear on your motorhome.

Great product. This our second Roadmaster tow bar, we bought a heavier to toad, a 2012 Ford F-150. The first tow bar gave us great service and we hope to get many miles from this one.
This is one of the best, two items I purchased of about 6 or 7 items acquired to rig my 2001 GMC YukonXL for flat towing. The 10,000 lb capacity is valued. the tow bar slides work well. the 3/4inch pins are strong and I have had no problems. The tow bar pulls a YukonXL with some extra stuff, fuel and tools and weighs probably 6,500 lbs (my est--haven't put it on a CAT scale). When I rig my 2020 Chev Silverado Trail Boss to flat tow, I expect to be able to use this.
The Blackhawk 2 All-Terrain tow my 2017 F250 Powerstroke with RZR loaded on the truck and performed well. We have traveled across the US towing a 2020 Escape Hybrid and again the bar excelled.
Easy to install in place of an old Falcon towbar. As you can see in the photo it can be rotated to the side and latched in place. I needed this feature as we carry two electric bikes above the towbar. looking foward to not needing a rubber hammer to release the tension on the bars.
Been traveling with this for over a year. We to an F150 with a Dutch Star. Hitch works perfectly with no issues.
Used this to Tow our 2015 F-150 behind our Motor Home. Easy to follow directions made the installation easy to follow and more importantly, it’s a safe functional way to tow a heavier vehicle. Coating and hardware have really stood up after a year of traveling the US
Easy to use and install. Might need locks to prevent disconnect by random people
Used this on an "around the country" RV trip to tow our Suburban after I damaged an older model. It works great and the built-in release handles were a welcome upgrade from the previous hitch I used. We certainly put some miles on this tow bar with no issues and I'm sure will get many more miles and years out of it yet!

Super satisfied with this tow bar after a year. Would certainly buy again and recommend to others!!
Perfect bar to tow my 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab. My earlier Falcon is great for my lighter Honda CRV. Thus one is robust and works flawlessly for my Silverado. eTrailer came through again as usual.

I still love this tow bar. Robust. Easy to use. Just finished an 800 mile trip this week. Smooth.
Had problems with locking latches.
I can't believe you don't add the cover for this hitch. Free advertising. You make enough on the price of the hitch. Not to mention every additional item that goes with it.

Works pretty good. Should the bars be lubricated.
High quality, heavy duty, easiest to us e.
I think no that you have a good product. Please teach your people how to package it properly.
As many of these as you sell, shouldn't there be designated packaging rather than taped-together small boxes?
The main reason for the five stars, is I did have a problem with a piece of one of the products and when I called, there was very little questions asked they just handled the problem which I really appreciated. I would for sure do business here again!
I have been very satisfied with this tow bar for some 30 plus years. This is my second one.
Older Falcon All Terrain tow bar came unlocked and fell to ground causing damage. Leaving on the 19th and needed a new tow bar quickly. etrailer had the Black Hawk 2 All terrain for a good price. They shipped it out on Saturday and received it this morning. Great Job!
After using a Falcon 2 All -terrain for over 100k miles, it was time for an upgrade! This blackhawk 2 all-terrain was perfect for my JKU with plenty of safety margin with the 10k rating.
I have been using this to tow my 1997 F250. It tows great and no question, it is beefy enough. I left four stars because you have to spray it with a lubricant almost every time you use it to keep it from binding when you want to disconnect it. It works great as long as it’s lubricated. This is the only tow bar I have used so I am not sure if binding is normal or if this is works better than others. It seems like it it an issue with all tow bars. I am happy with this bar but there is always room for improvement.
Pulled entire length of route 66 and then some. We had absolutely no issues with all of our etrailer equipment. Thanks for all of your help.
I didn’t know a thing I needed and Andy was so helpful and took the time to explain and help me with everything I needed
High quality product.
Easy to hook up our toad ( Jeep ). I can connect or disconnect in about 2 minutes all while standing. Stays right behind our RV and you only know its back there when you look in the rear view mirror. I would buy this again.

Im glad I got it. We have towed many thousand miles now and easy hook up.
I used this tow bar to tow my 2013 Honda CR-V behind my motor home. This is a 10,000 lb bar that I used only because the 6000 lb bar was not available at the time of my need. The bar is very easy to install and hook up. The car does not have to be level or straight with the tow vehicle. Once hooked up a small left right movement of the two vehicles as you start moving locks the tow bar in place. Very easy to use.

This hitch is so easy to hook and unhook when I fell ill my wife absolutely had no problem getting the car hooked back up and getting us back on the road.
Easy to install and easy to use. Being newbies to the motor coach world, this tow bar is made for ease of hookup. It took less than five minutes to unhook and hook up. Love it! We did not use the base plate that came with it but chose to add the direct connect base plate with removable arms (RM-521424-5) This combination made it excellent to use!

WE have only used the tow bar a couple times but have to say it is REALLY easy to hookup! Takes less than five minutes to get our Jeeep attached. Love it!
If you are looking for a great tow bar, the BlackHawk 2 for you. I have an older Roadmaster (10) years old and it was still working great but we got a larger tow close to 6k so the 10k looked good.
EZ to hook and EZ to unhook plus I like the Non-Binding.

After a year on the road, this has worked well. The Non-Binding has never failed to get me unhooked. Before I unhook I wipe the rods down with cleaner and lube, hope to have this one 10 years.
