Notes:
The Roadmaster spare tire carrier not only gives you extra room inside your RV by letting you mount your spare tire on the back, but it also provides a 2" hitch extension that lets you mount a tow bar or other hitch-mounted accessories. Flat tow your car or attach your bike rack or a cargo carrier for even more storage for your trip.
The Roadmaster spare tire carrier will make a great addition to your RV. This easy-to-use carrier simply slides into your 2" x 2" trailer hitch receiver. Just line up the holes on the carrier and the receiver and thread in the included anti-rattle hitch pin to secure the carrier to your RV.
Once the carrier is mounted in your hitch you can remove the safety bolt on the carrier's mast, pull the spring-loaded handle on the rear of the carrier, and pivot the carrier to either side and down to the ground.
Once the carrier is resting on the ground, you can mount your spare tire. Just roll the spare over to the carrier and align the 2 lug holes in the wheel that are most opposite each other with the corresponding slots in the wheel mount. The lug nut matrix design of the spare tire carrier fits all bolt hole patterns on 16" - 24-1/2" wheels.
Before lifting up the spare tire carrier, pull out the lever bar and secure it to the carrier mast in the extended position using the included safety pin. Then use the extension lever to raise the carrier up to the vertical position. Once the release handle locks back into place, secure the spare tire carrier with the safety bolt before driving.
When loaded, the spare tire carrier is still easy to lower and raise. The extension lever allows for better control of the carrier as it is being maneuvered. Lowering your carrier, loaded or unloaded, will allow access to your RV's rear compartments without having to take off your spare tire or the carrier.

The sturdy Roadmaster spare tire carrier allows you to carry a spare tire for your RV or motor home while retaining use of your hitch for mounting accessories or flat towing. Holds 16" to 24-1/2" spares with any bolt hole pattern. The Roadmaster tire carrier arrived as was predicted by UPS. On a rainy day my RV was in the driveway so my UPS driver slid the package under the back of the RV to keep it out of the rain. Shout out to our UPS driver. All parts accounted for and it went together smoothly. All of the tools were spelled out in the instructions. A couple of the sockets should have been listed as “long” sockets. Anyways, easy assembly. Tire mounted to the plate with ease (19.5” wheel). Very heavy wheel / tire combo but the lift with the rod on the carrier is effortless. I mounted the bike rack behind the wheel and it fits perfect. 654341
Now I have a spare tire with me for my Trek motor home that it never had before. Thanks to the Road Master hitch mounted spare tire carrier I can do much more. At 70 plus I can install and remove the tire and wheel from the carrier. I will soon be flat towing my Jeep Wrangler with the hitch receiver built into this carrier. It’s well built and heavy duty enough to attach 2 E-bikes on a tilting double bike rack. When I start towing the Jeep the bike rack and E-Bikes will go on the rear of the Jeep. Take all my toys with me. Thanks etrailer and Road Master for the quality product. 935507
The spare tire carrier is doing its job well. It is very solid. Traveled about 7000 miles with it so far. It covers the door to service my pusher engine and the lowering function is very easy to use. Letting it down is relatively easy put putting up a 100 pound tire takes some strength but can easily be done with a helper. I bought a spare tire because my truck mechanic friend told me that if we are far from a city and lose a tire that a mechanic could easily be found to mount one but the tire getting there make take a couple of days. Great Product for some boon docking peace of mind. 933160
As advertised, easy to install. Directions were easy to follow. 899647
Replaced steer tires on my unit due to age as a precaution. Mounted one of the steer tires on a spare wheel. The spare tire carrier allowed me to conveniently carry the spare. My tires are not a popular size and didn't want force buy a different size to get the MH down the road. 895869

Heavy duty!!! It took more time to get my spare tire out from under my class C motor home that to install the carrier. So easy to mount spare now!!!! It gives me peace of mind that I don’t have to get that spare off on a hot/cold highway, let alone trying to get it back up. 865229
Built extremely well, heavy duty, and gets the job done. Only drawback I didn’t like is needing four different sockets for the four bolts. 853414
Easily installed! Nice way to keep your spare without taking ip space in your RV or Toad! 845965
I bought a new 2018 Class C Motorhome that came without a spare tire. I added a tire pressure monitoring system and traveled with the hope that I wouldn't have a flat tire out in the sticks, where it would be difficult to get help. I got home from a long trip last summer, and a rear tire went flat in my driveway. My travel club memberships gave me a lot of trouble about helping me, since I didn't have a spare! Good thing I was home, so I could change it myself. I decided that I needed a spare tire carrier, so I wouldn't be stuck. I bought a spare wheel and tire, and then I bought this carrier. It is great. It's very heavy duty, but light enough to put on and take off for each trip. All of the hardware was included. I highly recommend this product and have told all of my friends about it for their motorhomes. I would buy this product again in a heartbeat. 845567
New Class C that was perfect, except not having a spare, which seems to be a hit or miss trend in industry. I reviewed many possible solutions - hands down the Roadmaster "Motorhome" spare tire carrier is the best solution. It uses your 2" hitch but you can still use your 2" hitch for tow, bike rack, etc. Very well built, worth every penny spent. Note there is a "Motorhome" product and "SUV/Van" product. Make sure you choose the appropriate product for your vehicle. 831558
Works as advertised! Very nice mount for tow chains. 830598
The spare tire carrier fit our needs and is quality made. 821823
An excellent product very easy to operate when moving the spare tire and visibility is great. Well put together and installation instructions were great. 820384
Just finished the easy install, 30 minutes total. Seems sturdy and well made. Time will tell. 811577
This spare tire holder has worked exceptionally well. I had to change a tire I damaged after hitting a curb with some exposed rebar and although the tire remained inflated the sidewall was severely damaged and the nearest tire store was several hundred miles away. This incident occurred less than 2 months after purchasing this item so I was extremely satisfied that I purchased it. 802088
Super easy assembly and holds the spare 19.5 combo from our Ram 5500. This was one of the very few options we found that was far enough from the back of our TC for the rear compartment door and tray to function while allowing a left/right swing away for the rear TC slide and mount for a cargo basket. Very well build and HD components. 796412
Very high quality and functional. One thing missing is a license tag holder. If tag is located in the center of the coach this unit will cover it. 795346
Great product: Looks good and easy to operate. Now I won't have to sit on the side of the road for 4 hours waiting for the road side assistance to get a tire and put it on. 791342
This tire carrier is working beautifully on our motorhome--our spare had been in a slide compartment, under the bed, and I wanted to use that area for storage. It was easy to assemble and install and is built like a tank. It looks good and tows our Jeep Wranger Unlimited with no problems. We had the (unfortunate) opportunity to put it to the test in December. Blew a tire, called AAA RV Plus, and I had the spare down, off the carrier, and ready for the repairman when he arrived. I highly recommend this carrier if you're looking to conveniently carry a spare. 784289
Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier - When we added levelers to our Winnebago View they put a bar across the factory carrier which is under the rear of the RV. We were driving to Alaska and in case we had a flat I didn't want to climb under the unit on some dirt or gravel road. Fortunately, we drove 12K miles in four months with no problems so we never used the spare. The carrier was easy to install and we feel that it will be easy to use, if necessary, 777546
I installed carrier on our 2019 Greyhawk 31FSP motorhome. We wanted to have a spare tire available if the need arises on extended road trips. The Roadmaster unit will hold the spare and allow us to flat tow our TJ Wrangler. The carrier is well made. Welds look good and the finish is excellent. I followed the detailed instructions and everything went together nicely. Etrailer shipped the carrier quickly and it arrived two days after order placement. Packaging was very good. I'm very pleased with purchase. P.S. I'm adding tire to wheel shown in a couple of weeks. 777506
Received when it was promised.Well built, solid construction. 777258
working great 771463
This cargo rack is very sturdy and pairs up nicely with the Roadmaster hitch-mounted spare tire rack. I had to relocate the license plate , but otherwise a simple two hour assembly and installation. 765324
