Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we'll be taking a look at our Classic Accessories custom fit spare tire cover. This is gonna be a cover for your spare tires on your RVs, your trucks, your cars or even your trailers. While it's nice and sunny outside right now, we do have a cold storm coming in later in the week. So I wanna make sure that the spare tires on our trailers are nice and protected, so that way, even if you have rain, snow, ice, hail coming down, these will be protected and ready for when you actually need them.
So this is made of a water repellent and water resistant vinyl. So even if it's raining outside, as the water pours down, it just falls right off. The snow white colored fabric means it does get dirty very quickly, but it's also easy to clean, as you just wipe it off. We have an opening on the bottom. This is actually just to make it easier to install but also help maintain that water resistance.
So this is gonna be what I call a vented bottom. So as it's open, it allows moisture to escape so that mildew doesn't grow on the inside, but it overlaps, so it prevents moisture from coming back in. And with spare tire covers, another thing that I'm always conscious of is how much of the tire does it actually cover So taking a look at the back, look at where it sits. This is a custom fit, so it's designed for this size of a tire and it covers most of it, but not all of it. If that's gonna be a big issue for you, you may want a larger, universal fit cover that goes smaller in the back.
This, I think, is still good though because it's still provides protection for the tire itself. While that outside has that vinyl, on the inside we have this soft backing to help protect your spare tire. Now, one of the big perks of this tire cover series is the options for sizes. So it is a custom fit. Please make sure you get the correct model for the correct tire size.
For example, here on our boat trailer, we have a smaller spare tire than the one we we're looking at earlier. This is size 175 80R13. Double check the tire size on your tire. It's printed on the side wall. And then you can follow our product pages and match it up with the correct model size. With this having that elasticized back hem, it's very easy to install as long as you have the right size. So let's take a look at that process. You're gonna have this elastic band around your tire cover and then you also have this opening. So what I recommend doing is just having the opening on the bottom, that way, if it does rain, it just goes down. Right, so just fit this around your spare tire. Since this is a custom fit, you should have it lined up around your tire and then make sure that it overlaps on the bottom or on the end, wherever you have that opening. And just like that, you've installed this around your tire. I do recommend having it sit out in the sun for a little bit, just to smooth out those wrinkles, but that's all there is to it. So my personal thoughts about this spare tire cover is I definitely see it looking good on certain vans and certain vehicles, especially a sprinter van. With that snow white color, it would match the trim of those vans very well. Now for trailers, like what I have on here, it still looks good. It's just up to you if you want that snow white matching your trailer. If you want something that looks a bit more rugged, we have other options. Classic Accessories has a version that's universal, but in black. You also have a version from CE Smith which has a very similar design, but also in black. I managed to order the right size. I also put a black vinyl mountain silhouette on it. Works great.
Fit like a glove. Easier to install with two people very well made
Over the years I've gone through several spare tire covers. The sun eventually eats them up, but better the spare tire cover than the spare tire.

This product fits just as advertised in the photo. Tight with no wrinkles. (advertised measurement was right on) The elastic strap that secures this cover is also much bigger and stronger than the one it replaced. Fast shipping and a great price from etrailer made this purchase a no-brainer!

Quality cover at a great price. After a year of use, it still shows no sign of wear.
It fits tight and looks nice on my ST205/75R14 tyre.

We will go over in a few days and see if they are still in place after the wind gust we had. We get a lot of wind in Kingman, Az.. We will go over and check on them in a few days. Shipping speed and comunication was wonderful as well as the price. I really appreciate the fact that this vendor lists the cover size in inches and also which size tires it should fit.
A good product at a GREAT price. Price plus shipping was less than most if not all RV Dealers wanted just for the cover and IMO, a much better quality. Arrived promptly, intact and was just what I ordered. This is a replacement cover for the spare tire of my Travel Trailer. The tire size chart told me exactly what I needed so I didn't have to "settle" for what they had!
One year later, these tire covers ae holding up quite well. Excellent product.

I am very happy with this cover. It fits perfectly on the spare tire on my Brenderup horse trailer, and so far seems to be holding up well after enduring a long North East winter.
I am giving 4 stars because this is supposed to fit 25 1/2" to 26 1/2" tires. I have 25 1/2" tires and it not only was it a giant struggle to get it on but the cover only covers the front and the edge of the tire. It doesn't pull around the back more than 1/2". There is no way this will fit 26 1/2" tires. That said, once I got it stretched over the tire it looks just about like the picture. If you want one to go around your tire a little more than 1/2", get the bigger one. I just put it on so I don't have any road time or sun time on it to give a more complete review. Maybe I will address that further on down the road.
I bought a tire cover at an auto parts store. I thought I would have it for our camping trip, but it was way to big, so I took it back. I knew I could get one on line. The size chart/Guide was great. I had measured, but it was great to have the wheel size chart also. Thank you etrailer!
This seems to be pretty heavily built for the price and fits snugly so it should stay in place on the spare on my trailer. The last one that I owned was from a different manufacturer and held up pretty well as well as helping to make my spare last far longer than ones exposed to the sun.
