I do have the mounting kit you would need to install a snowplow such as the Detail K2 Storm II Snowplow part # K2STOR8422 on your 2000 Dodge Ram Pickup but the mounting kit is not included with the snowplow. For a mounting kit that will allow you to attach the above snowplow to your Ram, you would need the Custom Mounting Brackets for Detail K2 Snowplows part # K284309. As long as your Ram is not a sport model then the above mounting kit will work well for you.

The Detail K2 plow install kit par # K284309 is a fit for your 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 and does not require any drilling to install. It is also a fit with the Detail K2 Storm II plow part # K2STOR8422ELT that you mentioned as well.

Front Hitch and Snow Plow for 1999 Dodge Ram Pickup
The Detail K2 Custom Mounting Brackets for Snowplows # K284309 does not have a 2-inch receiver opening for other purposes. This mount kit allows only plow installation. Also, with this kit installed it is not possible to mount a front hitch; my contact at K2 confirmed this for me. But if you were to install a front-mount 2-inch hitch, either Curt # 31604, you could then mount a hitch-type plow such as Detail K2 Avalanche Snowplow # K2AVAL8422.

Detail K2 Snowplow for 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport
All snowplow kits offered for the 2001 Dodge Ram 1500, shown on the linked page, exclude the Sport version from their fits. My technical contact at K2 advised that instead of a front-mount hitch you CAN use their Custom Mounting Bracket kit # K284309. This has no known compatibility issues with the Ram Sport according to my contact. With it you can use a plow like # K2RAMP8219.
