CargoGlide sliding truck bed tray

The CargoGlide slide-out truck tray lets you load and unload items in your truck bed without climbing, crawling, or excessive reaching. Instead, this custom-fit bed slide brings the cargo to you - whether you're hauling toolboxes, yard bags, paint cans, or even large appliances and construction materials. Simply move the release lever and give the tray a pull to extend it out up to 75 percent of its length from the bed of your truck. The tray boasts a hefty 1,000-lbs capacity and includes built-in tie-down tracks with eyebolts to help you strap down your cargo. The CargoGlide is perfect for do-it-yourselfers, contractors, hunters, and designated grocery-getters. It's made from top-grade materials and it installs to your truck bed in just a few steps.

Custom-Fit Sliding Truck Bed Tray

CargoGlide custom-fit precision

The CargoGlide is custom-fit for your vehicle to make the best use of the available space in your truck bed.

CargoGlide slide-out truck bed tray drawer action

The sliding tray works like a supersized, high-quality toolbox drawer. Pull the tray out to bring your gear to you without reaching or climbing up into the bed of your truck. The tray's 6 tough, high-quality bearings are designed to glide smoothly even when the tray is loaded to capacity, so it's a cinch to move heavy loads into and out of your truck bed.

CargoGlide sealed bearings

The CargoGlide uses a combination of full complement, permanently-sealed bearings and sealed side-thrust bearings to ensure smooth, dependable operation without binding, whether you're parked on a level surface or an uneven one, such as a hill or ditch.

Adjustable Positioning

CargoGlide sliding truck bed tray with built-in stops

The CargoGlide has a locking point every 12 inches. These built-in stops let you extend the tray in increments and they serve as safety stops. When fully extended, the tray pulls out to 70 percent of its length in a long-bed truck and 75 percent of its length in a short-bed.

To slide the tray out, reach under the front face plate where the 2 cutouts are located. Squeeze the latch on the left side to release the tray, grab the handle on the right, and pull. You can bypass the stops by maintaining pressure on the latch. To close the CargoGlide, simply push the tray back in until it locks into place.

Steel Frame and Slip-Resistant Tray with Tie-Down Track System

CargoGlide steel frame with laminated deck

The CargoGlide's tray is a stout, 3/4" thick sheet of moisture-resistant, marine-grade plywood, laminated with TPO - a tough material that resists water, chemicals, abrasions, and flame spread. The tray held in place by a sturdy steel frame finished with chip-resistant black powder coat, and it will remain rock steady as you load or unload tools and equipment. The sturdy construction means it won't bend, warp or twist under a load. The CargoGlide tray can also be tilted up and removed from its track if you need to make room for tall loads.

CargoGlide built-in side wall t-track system

The tray has a burnished aluminum face plate and is surrounded on three sides by extruded, 6061-T6 aluminum walls. The walls are 4" tall and they help keep your cargo from sliding off the tray and from bumping into the sides of your truck. The CargoGlide also has a built-in tie-down system that helps control your cargo. A track runs along the side and rear walls of the tray to give you lots of options for securing your load. The tray comes with 4, marine-grade steel O-rings that can be positioned anywhere along the track to create tie-down points for your cargo. Each tie-down track anchor point has a 400-lbs capacity.

You can attach 4' x 4" add-on walls (sold separately) to carrier's cab-end existing walls to increase the wall height to 8", giving you even better cargo control.

Hassle-free Installation

CargoGlide simple installation with PlusNuts

The CargoGlide can be installed in a few simple steps. It's designed to be attached at 4-6 points in your truck bed using PlusNuts and bolts - all part of the included hardware packet. You will need the following tools: tape measure, crescent wrench, drill, knife, 5/16" bit, 1/2" bit, 1/2" socket, and a ratchet or impact driver.

The steps are straightforward (consult manual for full instructions):

  1. Position the CargoGlide in your truck bed and determine clearances (you will need another person to help lift)
  2. Locate and mark attachment points. Make sure there are no gas lines or other obstructions under the truck or van bed where you plan to drill.
  3. Drill the pilot holes installation holes.
  4. Install PlusNuts, bolts, and washers. Then tighten bolts.

Easy Loading/Unloading for Bicycles

The CargoGlide can be equipped to offer convenient bicycle transport. Install fork- or frame-mount truck bed bike racks (sold separately), and then slide the tray out for bike loading/unloading. No more awkward lifting or painful jabs from pedals and handlebars as you hoist bikes into and out of your truck bed.

Adjustable Height

The 2 adjustable feet on the underside of the tray allow you to fine-tune the height of the CargoGlide tray when you install it. This allows you to customize the tray to the perfect height for clearing your tailgate. Turn the feet clockwise to shorten the height of the tray or rotate the feet counterclockwise to extend it up.

Video Transcript for CargoGlide Sliding Tray Installation - 2009 Dodge Ram

All right, today on this 2009 Dodge Ram pickup, we'll be installing part number CG1000-7548, from CargoGlide. First thing we're going to do is go ahead and take the assembly and go ahead and place it into the body of the pickup. We'll go ahead and put it into place and make sure we have it centered from left to right, and front to rear. You want to keep it at least a half inch away from everything around the bed of the truck. Once we have it centered the way we want it, we'll go ahead and slide it back. We'll pull back on the lash, then pull back on the cargo bed itself, leaving the frame in the bed of the pickup.

Now we'll go ahead and check to see how the holes line up with the corrugations in the bed. We'll go ahead and find the center of our holes, and drill out with a pilot bit. Then we'll finish out drilling our holes using a 7/16 drill bit. With the holes drilled out, we can go ahead and install the plus nut. And with the installer nut tool, we'll go ahead and tighten everything down.

So this will be the plus nut, then the nut installer tool, and then the long bolt. We'll hold the nut installer tool with a wrench and then tighten down the bolt with another wrench. We'll go ahead and tighten down so everything is secure. Now the CargoGlide does not come with any spacers or shims. There can be many alternatives including wood, metal tubing, and material like that.

In this case, we used some extra spacers from the fifth wheel hitch that was previously installed. We'll go ahead and install the hardware. We'll install the bolts and the flat washers. We'll get all four started first, and then tighten them down. Now some applications may require a spacer that goes at the very back end of the rail by the tailgate, due to the variances in the corrugations and to give you room at the tailgate.

In this case, we didn't need it because the whole rail on the bottom fit flush on the corrugation. But we did have to use the extra feet, but just straight onto the bottom. Now one thing else to note that when we tried to slide it back together, we noticed that the bolts that go through the floor on the cargo side interfere with the bolts that we installed in bed. So we had to take out two of the bolts and go ahead and shorten them to provide some clearance. With the bolts shortened and reinstalled, we'll go ahead and try it again. At this point, we can see how the CargoGlide slides in all the way. Lastly we'll show you how to install the O ring anchors that can be positioned along the tracks as tie down anchor points for your cargo. Simply thread the square head bolt through the washer and to the O ring anchor point. Then we'll slide it through the opening at the end of the rails. And that will finish it for our install of part number CG1000-7548 from CargoGlide on our 2009 Dodge Ram pickup.

I love this slide. Many people have commented how cool it is. It is so convenient and makes my truck bed much more useful. I keep a bunch of small toolboxes/bags and a folding ladder on it and keep the stuff that I don't use as often towards the far end. It's well-made and very easy to install. After about a year I ended up heavily modifying it by reworking the steel frame under the plywood deck and installing a removable center panel so I could leave the slide in my truck while at the same time having access to my B&W gooseneck underbed hitch. 593647

Awesome slide. You don't even have to secure items down. They really don't slide around on the rubber mat. 721260
