Instead, this custom-fit bed slide brings the cargo to you - whether you're hauling toolboxes, yard bags, paint cans, or even large appliances and construction materials. Simply move the release lever and give the tray a pull to extend it out up to 75 percent of its length from the bed of your truck. The tray boasts a hefty 1,000-lbs capacity and includes built-in tie-down tracks with eyebolts to help you strap down your cargo. The CargoGlide is perfect for do-it-yourselfers, contractors, hunters, and designated grocery-getters. It's made from top-grade materials and it installs to your truck bed in just a few steps.

Custom-Fit Sliding Truck Bed Tray

CargoGlide custom-fit precision

The CargoGlide is custom-fit for your vehicle to make the best use of the available space in your truck bed.

CargoGlide slide-out truck bed tray drawer action

The sliding tray works like a supersized, high-quality toolbox drawer. Pull the tray out to bring your gear to you without reaching or climbing up into the bed of your truck. The tray's 6 tough, high-quality bearings are designed to glide smoothly even when the tray is loaded to capacity, so it's a cinch to move heavy loads into and out of your truck bed.

CargoGlide sealed bearings

The CargoGlide uses a combination of full complement, permanently-sealed bearings and sealed side-thrust bearings to ensure smooth, dependable operation without binding, whether you're parked on a level surface or an uneven one, such as a hill or ditch.

Adjustable Positioning

CargoGlide sliding truck bed tray with built-in stops

The CargoGlide has a locking point every 12 inches. These built-in stops let you extend the tray in increments and they serve as safety stops. When fully extended, the tray pulls out to 70 percent of its length in a long-bed truck and 75 percent of its length in a short-bed.

To slide the tray out, reach under the front face plate where the 2 cutouts are located. Squeeze the latch on the left side to release the tray, grab the handle on the right, and pull. You can bypass the stops by maintaining pressure on the latch. To close the CargoGlide, simply push the tray back in until it locks into place.

Steel Frame and Slip-Resistant Tray with Tie-Down Track System

CargoGlide steel frame with laminated deck

The CargoGlide's tray is a stout, 3/4" thick sheet of moisture-resistant, marine-grade plywood, laminated with TPO - a tough material that resists water, chemicals, abrasions, and flame spread. The tray held in place by a sturdy steel frame finished with chip-resistant black powder coat, and it will remain rock steady as you load or unload tools and equipment. The sturdy construction means it won't bend, warp or twist under a load. The CargoGlide tray can also be tilted up and removed from its track if you need to make room for tall loads.

CargoGlide built-in side wall t-track system

The tray has a burnished aluminum face plate and is surrounded on three sides by extruded, 6061-T6 aluminum walls. The walls are 4" tall and they help keep your cargo from sliding off the tray and from bumping into the sides of your truck. The CargoGlide also has a built-in tie-down system that helps control your cargo. A track runs along the side and rear walls of the tray to give you lots of options for securing your load. The tray comes with 4, marine-grade steel O-rings that can be positioned anywhere along the track to create tie-down points for your cargo. Each tie-down track anchor point has a 400-lbs capacity.

You can attach 4' x 4" add-on walls (sold separately) to carrier's cab-end existing walls to increase the wall height to 8", giving you even better cargo control.

Hassle-free Installation

CargoGlide simple installation with PlusNuts

The CargoGlide can be installed in a few simple steps. It's designed to be attached at 4-6 points in your truck bed using PlusNuts and bolts - all part of the included hardware packet. You will need the following tools: tape measure, crescent wrench, drill, knife, 5/16" bit, 1/2" bit, 1/2" socket, and a ratchet or impact driver.

The steps are straightforward (consult manual for full instructions):

  1. Position the CargoGlide in your truck bed and determine clearances (you will need another person to help lift)
  2. Locate and mark attachment points. Make sure there are no gas lines or other obstructions under the truck or van bed where you plan to drill.
  3. Drill the pilot holes installation holes.
  4. Install PlusNuts, bolts, and washers. Then tighten bolts.

Easy Loading/Unloading for Bicycles

The CargoGlide can be equipped to offer convenient bicycle transport. Install fork- or frame-mount truck bed bike racks (sold separately), and then slide the tray out for bike loading/unloading. No more awkward lifting or painful jabs from pedals and handlebars as you hoist bikes into and out of your truck bed.

Adjustable Height

The 2 adjustable feet on the underside of the tray allow you to fine-tune the height of the CargoGlide tray when you install it. This allows you to customize the tray to the perfect height for clearing your tailgate. Turn the feet clockwise to shorten the height of the tray or rotate the feet counterclockwise to extend it up.

Video Transcript for CargoGlide 1000 Sliding Tray for Trucks Review

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the cargo glide 1000 sliding tray for trucks, features a 1,000 pounds capacity, part number CG1000-9548. Here's what this cargo glide is going to look like once it's installed in the bed of the truck. What this is going to allow you to do is make it much easier to access gear or equipment that's in the bed of your truck, because by simply pulling this handle, you can pull out on this cargo glide and get much easier access to what's in the bed of your truck. This cargo glide is going to do a good job of filling up a lot of your bed space in your eight-foot beds from up at the cab all the way to the back, here at the tailgate, by give you enough room to make sure that there's piece of mind, that it won't hit when you close your tailgate. You can see here: there's adequate clearance between the back of our cargo glide and the face for our tailgate. We got good clearance here along the front at the bulkhead as well. As you can see here, when you need to secure any gear or cargo down, it comes with four convenient eyelets that you can use in order to do that, and these eyelets, you can loosen up and secure anywhere along the inside tracks of this cargo glide, and now you'll be able to see how easy it is to remove any cargo that you have secured in the bed using our cargo glide.

This cargo glide is nice and strong, and it features a 1,000 pound weight capacity. It features a skid resistant deck surface to help grip any cargo or equipment that you have sitting on here. If you need more clearance in order for your tray to slide out properly over the tailgate, you can get height adjusters that are sold separately. You can also get bike adapters that will slide into the channels along the side so that it makes it easier to secure your bikes. The raised rails that go along the sides and front of our cargo tray that'll be three inches and these rails are going to provide a nice point to help make sure that all your cargo or gear stays on your cargo glide and can't slide off. The distance from the very front rail to this back edge of the cargo glide is right at 94 inches, and then the width between our side rails is right at four feet.

With our cargo glide fully extended out the rear of the bed, it's going to come out a total of about 58 and a half inches from it's original position. The holes here in the driver's side of the frame are for the locking positions and there's sick total locking positions and they're 12 inches center to center on each hole, and on this particular application, it extends about 57 inches past the edge of the bed and about 32 and a half inches past the edge of the tailgate. This cargo glide is going to be great for use with trucks that have either a tonneau cover or a camper shell on the back, because this is going to make it much easier to gain access to the cargo that's further up. What I like most about this cargo glide is how easy it is to use and install, but also it gives us great versatility because it has those channels around the outside that you can mount different things in in order to tie down your cargo. Now that we've gone over some features, let's go ahead and show you how to install it, and in this case, we'll be working with a 2016 Ford F150. Once we've made sure that we'll have good fitment with the whole assembly in here and then we've taken our tray off.

What we'll do with our frame bracket is we want to make sure that it's centered between the wheel wells. We'll measure in a couple spots up to make sure it's even, and then we'll make sure we've got proper spacing at the front as well. Now what we'll do is begin marking our attachment points so that we can drill out the holes for our plus nuts to go through. On each mounting rail, they give you three hole locations on each side, and that's in order to make sure that you can get it properly lined up with the corrugation in the bed of the truck. Now, it's best to go on the high side of a corrugation so in this case, this inner hole is going to be perfect for that, so I'm just going to mark in the center there. Then I'll do that same thing here in the other side.

Then I'll do that for the rest of my mounting locations as well. Once we've got all of our holes marked that we're going to need to drill, we can take the frame for our cargo glide and move it just a little bit so that we'll have easy access to all of our marks in order to drill those out. Now, using a small drill bit, I'm going to drill a pilot hole through each of my marks. Now, where you drill, you will want to be sure that below each of your mounting locations that there isn't anything like brake lines or fuel lines that you may damage by drilling through there. Then we'll step up drill bit sizes until we've reached the size indicated in the instructions. Once we've got our holes drilled out to the correct size, then we'll be able to take our plus nuts that are going to go through the hole. You can see we've got the flange here with no threads inside, and then threads down here on the other side, and what's going to happen is we're going to use this tool which is going to have a flat washer on the head of our two and a half inch bolt. It's going to go through our sleeve that has these teeth down here on the bottom, and then you'll feed it in and tighten it down, holding wrench on your sleeve there, and these sides where you can see these slits, these are going to collapse and mushroom out, so then it's going to hold it tight in place. Once we've got it in, I'll show you a shot of it from underneath. We'll take our plus nut, put it down into place. If doesn't want to quite pop all the way through, you can take a hammer and tap it until it goes through, so that this flange is flush with the bed. Then we'll take our installation hardware and thread it down into that plus nut. Now, take a 14 millimeter wrench and put it around the sleeve and then a 13 millimeter socket on an impact driver and put it on the head of the bolt and as you tighten it down, it'll start to get tight, but then get easier and that's when that nut is going to be collapsing and then once it snugs up again, you know that it's going to be tight underneath. Now that nut is securely in place. Then we'll do the same thing for the rest of our mounting locations. Here you can see what it looks like on the underside of the bed once it's mushroomed out. Now we can take our frame and put it back into position. Now, we'll remeasure just to make sure it's properly centered. Once we've made sure that our frame is centered and back in the position that tit was before, we can take our eight millimeter bolts that come with the kit with flat washers and being installing them into all the plus nuts that we just installed. Then we'll tighten those bolts up into the nuts underneath according to the instructions. It's a good idea to grab an extra set of hands or two in order to put this back up into place. Now, we'll show you how to remove the tray off of the frame underneath. You'll want a couple of extra sets of hands in order to do this. First thing you'll need to do is pull the tray out about 18 to 24 inches, and then while holding the unlock handle, you'll need to lift up on the tailgate end, and then continue pulling it out towards the end. Then once you've got it out most of the way, you'll lift the tailgate end up and then move it over to one side. Once the barring's out on one side, you can life it up and then pull it back the other way to pull out the other barring. Now that we've got the tray reinstalled, let's make sure that we've got nice, smoother operation of the unit as it slides in and out. Works smoothly and locks properly at each location. Our cargo glide comes with four eyelets and what these do is they go into these side channels here, so then you can slide them up and down as a cargo hook in various locations. Then you tighten them down so that they won't move, and then we'll install the three others the same way. That's going to complete our look at the cargo glide 1000 slide tray for trucks for the 1,000 pound capacity, part number CG1000-9548.

Review from a similar 1000 in Slide Out Cargo Trays

I love this slide. Many people have commented how cool it is. It is so convenient and makes my truck bed much more useful. I keep a bunch of small toolboxes/bags and a folding ladder on it and keep the stuff that I don't use as often towards the far end. It's well-made and very easy to install. After about a year I ended up heavily modifying it by reworking the steel frame under the plywood deck and installing a removable center panel so I could leave the slide in my truck while at the same time having access to my B&W gooseneck underbed hitch. 593647

Awesome slide. You don't even have to secure items down. They really don't slide around on the rubber mat. 721260
