Order was shipped immediately from the placement of the order. It arrived as promised and product is exactly what i requested. Would without a doubt consider ordering from them in the future. It wasn't until reading a post in irv2 about rusty safety cables causing an accident that i really inspected mine and realized they were overdue for replacement. 600575

The cables were exactly as represented on the website. They have worked very well. They arrived promptly as promised. 475111

These worked out perfect because the boat trailer is also blue and they were a good match. 451708

Good sturdy product. They were too short so I had to adapt a short length of tow chain to them. Some type of measuring suggestions would be helpful for first timers to know which length cables to choose. Also, there is NO WAY these cables will pass through the cable "channels" in the Roadmaster Blackhawk 2 tow bar. The empty loop on this cable is too large. I didn't exchange them for a longer set because I needed to take my trip right away. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that I thought since this is a Roadmaster product that they should know if they are compatible with the tow bar channels. 171245

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2017 Ford F-150 Behind an RV
  • You can use your Even Brake # RM-9400 with your 2017 Ford F-150. The brake light relay # RM-88400 will be needed if you are using anything other than magnetic tow lights such as # C-ATL20A. For base plates for the F-150 you can use # RM-524431-4. I do not know if you already have a tow bar but if not I recommend a non-binding tow bar such as the Falcon All Terrain # RM-522 rated for 6,000 pounds or the BlackHawk # RM-422 rated for 10,000 pounds. Non-binding tow bars like these mean that...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 Behind a Motorhome
  • We do have base plates for your 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 but # RM-3180-2 will not fit. The comparable set that will fit your 1500 is # RM-3177-3. This set actually has removable arms so that when you take them out the base plates are essentially invisible. I have linked the installation instructions for you to view. For a compatible tow bar I recommend the Blackhawk 2 # RM-422. This is an all-terrain tow bar which means you will not have to be lined up perfectly straight and level to hook...

None of the 2-wheel drive models can be flat towed but you can dolly tow front wheel drive models from the front. If you do have a model that can be flat towed and it is a Trailhawk or Overland edition you can use base plates # RM-521451-5. For a compatible tow bar I recommend the Falcon All-Terrain # RM-522. These base plates will fit with or without tow hooks. Roadmaster recommends professional installation but if you look at the instructions I have linked for the 260-1 base plates you can make that determination. For a compatible tow bar I recommend the Falcon All-Terrain # RM-522. This is a non-binding tow bar rated for 6,000...

  • According to the 2018 Ford Expedition owner's manual: ". . . turn the ignition as far as it can go toward the off position. It does not turn fully off when the transmission is in neutral (N). If your vehicle has an ignition key, you must leave the key in the ignition while towing. To lock and unlock your vehicle, use the keyless entry keypad or an extra set of keys. Mark the area ahead of time and then trim. This base plate kit is compatible with the Sterling tow bar, # RM-576. None of the 2-wheel drive models can be flat towed but you can dolly tow front wheel drive models from the front. I did some research and found that the curb weight of your Hummer H2 is about 6,600 pounds. You will need a tow bar that can handle this much weight and is compatible with the MX style of base plates. I recommend the RoadMaster Blackhawk 2 All Terrain Tow Bar, # RM-422. This tow bar is capable of up to 10,000 pounds. You will also need safety cables and...

  • The original Stowmaster tow bar came with a safety strap. The tow bar has been updated and they have done away with the strap. The description currently on the site is being updated as well and references to the strap will be removed. The strap in question is no longer available by itself since you are supposed to use safety cables such as # RM-649 and since the base plates for vehicles started including the shorter cables that go from the base plates to the vehicle frame.

  • All options for base plates for your 2013 Ford F-150 STX 4 x 4 can be seen on the provided link. These include both the removable-arm type as well as a fixed-arm type. Typically customers prefer removable arms since this helps keep more of the vehicle's original appearance when not being flat towed and it can help reduce bumps and bruises to your shins. Please check your owners manual and see what procedures that need to be followed for flat towing your Cadillac Escalade EXT. For a 1500, use Roadmaster XL Base Plates, # 199-5. For a 2500, use # 3112-1. If your truck came with a brushguard, the base plates will not fit unless the brushguard is removed. Next you will...

However, this tow bar is rated for 5,000 pounds and your Titan can easily exceed this weight limit. I recommend going up to the next level, a 6,000 pound capacity tow bar, # RM-501.
