Today on our 2010 Infiniti G37, we're doing a test fit of the Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars. The part number for the cross bars we're using today is RRVA118B-2. For our foot pack we're using RRRLKVA. For our fit kit we're using DK211. Now we already have our front bar in place. We've got this portion of our back bar together. We're going to show you how to put the last foot pack altogether.
Everything that you see on this table here comes in the kit, except for the flat tape measure. I would suggest finding one of your own, or even a regular tape measure will work as well. We're going to start off by taking our foot here. We're going to pop off the end, and then we'll make sure to line up our two arrows so that they're facing the same direction. I have them facing up right now. We'll just squeeze those together, just like so, making sure that all of the gaps are filled.
We can take that foot, place back on that foot pack. Flip this over, and we're going to loosen up our bolts here, and completely take that out. Then, we'll take our clamp, set that in place, and then tighten our bolt back up. I just tighten it up until I feel it starting to come through on the other side here. We can take our foot pack and we're just going to slide it onto our channel, just like so.
We'll take our flat tape measure and we'll measure this inseam here. That's going to be 17.1 cm, or 171 mm. I just line it up, then I take my included tool and I'll tighten that down. I always like to double check and make sure that nothing moved. It looks like we're about a millimeter off, so we'll just move that back a little bit and tighten it back down. All right, with that one secured we'll load this up onto our vehicle.
Open up our doors here, then we can take our crossbar and gently place it on the top of our vehicle. Now we'll take some measurements and set this in the correct place. We're going to measure from the center of the front crossbar to the center of the back crossbar. We're going to have about 71 cm, or 650 mm. Excuse me, 67 cm. Don't worry about all the measurements. You actually will get those in your instructions along with the fit kit. I'll just double check this side since we did have to shift quite a bit on the other side. Perfect. Now with that in place, we can place our included tool once again and start to tighten these down. I just like to tighten down starting off my clamp so that it sits up against our door frame here. I'll just take that and tighten down this bolt. I'll do the same thing to the other side. You'll notice as we go on I'll do one thing to one side, and make sure I do the same thing to the other side. That's just to make sure that we're tightening everything down evenly, we don't have the crossbar pulling to one side or the other. We want to have a nice, even fit and a snug fit as well so that we don't have any malfunctions. What's great about these crossbars is that they are, especially with that fit kit, is that they are custom fit to our vehicle. They are specially designed for this vehicle to give you the most safe and secure fit. Now I'm just going to go back and forth, doing about five to ten turns on each side. Once again, making sure that it's nice and snug. Another great thing is that Rhino Rack has these specific measurements so that you can fit all your different accessories on your vehicle's roof rack with this crossbar spread. Now you'll notice we've gotten tighten enough. We'll know that we're completely tight when the skinnier portion of our tool here is completely straight. That's the torque portion of our tool. You just want to make sure that we do the same thing to this side. Perfect. Now we can place on all of our end caps. I'm going to start off with my crossbar end caps. What's great about these is that they lock, and if you have anything that's a channel-mounted accessory, like a bike rack, you can put those onto your channel and then lock them in place with our end caps. You won't have to worry about effect or tampering. We also have our caps for the foot packs. These are going to help prevent theft and tampering of the crossbars as a whole, because they do lock that bolt in there that we secured everything down with. They lock those and prevent anyone from being able to come up and loosen them up. With those all locked into place, we're ready to load up our gear and hit the road. That's going to be our completed look at the Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars and how they fit on our 2010 Infiniti G37.
