Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.
Securing your cargo is easy with these ratcheting tie-down straps. Extra-wide handles make it easy to ratchet the straps to tighten them down and maintain tension. Quick-release buttons on the ratchets allow you to quickly and easily release the tension on the straps for unloading.
Each strap has 1 solid S-hook on one end and 1 S-hook with a built-in wire keeper on the other end. This wire keeper keeps the hook from accidentally disconnecting so that 1 person can safely and easily secure each strap in place.
Hook and loop straps secure any excess webbing in place to keep it from flapping around while you drive.

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the ratchet tie down straps with push button release, part number 288-05852. These tie downs are going to be the perfect addition to your trailer. There're ideal for securing your items or gear down safely, things like your motorcycles, ATVs, ladders, lumber, really anything you want to tie down. You get two straps. They have a safe working load limit of 830 pounds, and a 2,500 pound break strength. When choosing the right strap, it's important that the weight of the cargo must not exceed the combined weight of the safe working load limit. They're a ratcheting style straps.
You're going to get that extra tight fit around your cargo that will prevent movement. When comparing these to a cam buckle strap, you'll be able to tighten it up with your own strengths, but you won't get that extra tension you need to fit around your cargo, with the wretched style you will. When comparing these to a bungee style, there's no real way to tell what type of working load limit you have. Plus, when they fail, they become a dangerous projectile. They feature extra wide handles, so they're easy to grip and easy to operate. They're also rubber coated for comfort.
It has a two fingered quick release. When we're ready to break that tension and remove the strap. They're contoured to fit our fingers for ease of use. The straps are 12 foot long, by an inch and a quarter wide, so they'll work with most loads. They have a bright orange color for safety and you won't have to worry about losing them.
Here at the ends of each strap is my favorite part, the large S hooks feature gates preventing the strap from disconnected. This can be very useful when driving over rough terrain, where your load or strap may bounce or flex, causing it to become disconnected. With the ratchet straps, this won't happen. The hooks themselves have a black powder coat finish, so they're going to be resistant to rust and corrosion. The straps are made out of a strong polyester webbing, so they're going to be resistant to impacts and abrasions. What's also unique about these straps is their hook and loop keeper.
Once you've got them tightened down where you want, we'll feed the strap back down through the ratchet, close it off, and then bundled up here. We'll bundle it up, and the hook and loop keeper is going to prevent our excess strap from flapping around when we're on the road. Now we'll show you how these ratchet straps work. If you're unfamiliar, this can be very useful. When feeding the strap through, you want to be sure that your ratchet strap is closed and that the channel is facing horizontal, just like this. It's going to make it easy for you. We'll feed the strap through. Then I'm going to push it up, bring it back over the top. From here, we're ready to drape it over our cargo. We'll hook the opposite end to our tie down. We'll come up over the top of our cargo, and then anchor the ratchet side. From here, we'll take the shortest end that we fed through our ratchet, we'll pull up, get all of that tension out. Pull it up tight, and then begin ratcheting until it's nice and secure. Once we've got it to where we want it, feed it down through, and then we'll bundle up our excess with our hook and loop keeper. For maintaining these ratchet straps, you'll want to take care of them. For one, you'll want to store them out of sunlight. The UV rays can be harmful to the polyester which will lead to fading, then they'll become brittle, and then they could fail. So you want to be sure and store them out of that sunlight. For the ratcheting mechanism, you want to lubricate this every so often. That way you can keep the moving parts operating smoothly. And that's going to complete our look at the ratchet tie down straps with push button release, part number 288-05852.

I ordered the Tie down straps because I already have a set and love them however when the package arrived some of the straps were missing, I made a call to etrailer they apologized and immediately sent out the missing parts. I am very happy with their customer service.

Large, beefy buckles.
Spring loaded 'S' hooks to keep on attachment point when no tension on it.

I use these straps to secure my kayak to a trailer. They are quick and simple to use, and they are very secure. The bright orange makes the rig much more visible on the road. The storage bag keeps the straps organized when they are not on the boat.

What initially attracted me to tyhese straps is the springs on the hooks.
I have transported many motorcycles on an open trailer and have had two situations where the unsprung hook came adrift from the fixing on the trailer due presumably to a combination of trailer movement and motorcycle suspension movement.
I have overcome this by using long straps going around the motorcycle with both hooks then being fixed to the trailer fixing point via a carabiniere (as used by mountaineers). This has worked well but takes quite a lot of time to saet up when loading and dismantle when unloading.
I have not used these latest straps yet but I believe that the spring loaded hooks will eliminate the need for the carabinieres and allow me to put the hooks directly onto the trailer fixing points thus saving time and effort.
The straps look robust and the springloaded hooks seem strong and should do the job.
Time will tell but initial impressions are very [positive.

It’s too early to review your product since it arrived after I went out of town. Delivery was a day late or 2 late from the scheduled date. I’m disappointed that it did not arrive as expected. I will reconsider purchasing your products in the future, certainly with a much longer delivery time.
