  • Ratcheting tie-down strap set lets you secure your vehicle on your trailer
    • Integrated loops let you secure your vehicle by the axles
  • Heavy-duty ratchets with ergonomic contour handles cinch straps tight
  • Twisted snap hooks connect to trailer's D-rings on one end and to D-rings on trailer or axle straps on other end
    • Prevent accidental detachment from D-rings
  • Gold-zinc-plated steel ratchets resist corrosion
  • No-stretch polyester straps with gel coat resist tears and abrasions

I was kind of surprised that these straps were made in China. But what I'm going to use them for they should work fine I do like the double webbing you can Loop it back into the D rings that's a nice feature. The storage bag is nice and well made. All in all pretty happy with the straps. I was expecting them Monday but they arrived Friday a few days earlier. Overall good stuff. 511051

I ordered the Bulldog Winch Combo Axle/Ratcheting Tie-Down Straps in preparation for a trip out to Colorado at the end of the Summer. I am planning on pulling my Jeep out there, just in case I break something. A few days after these arrived I actually got a chance to use them, having to tow my father's truck to get repaired. These were easy to loop around the axles and clip to the 4 D-rings on the trailer. Ratcheting them down tight was easy and pulled all 4 corners tight. The truck did not move the whole time I was towing it. Great product, nice to have the bag to store them in, organizing the trailer box. 335708

I would have to say, after a years worth of use, these have been well worth the purchase. I have secured my Jeep numerous times and a few other vehicles as well. These straps are easy to use, hold the vehicles securely, and store great in the supplied bag.

The straps are exactly what they claimed to be. Very well put together and I have NO fear that anything that I use them on will stay where I put it. My only issue is that they are way heavier duty then I need. No ones fault but my own. I way over bought. My nature. Buy the best. And I did. I recommend to anyone who needs, Get them!! Hope this helps.. 651309

I have not used this product yet, but I am a professional car hauler and I bought this kit for my personal use. Upon initial inspection the ratchets and straps are of very high quality. The metal hooks are made of hardened steel. The ratchets come with a heavy duty bag with a capacity of 100lbs. 297502

This tie down set with bag works out well for my needs. I use these on my rat rod pick up on an open car hauler and I have hauled 500 miles and straps stayed TIGHT !! Personal I think it is important that the straps are tightened correctly. I know guys that don't tighten the straps correctly and they blame the strap. The ratchets work nice and smoothly. I have about 6 to 8 weeks combined strap down time, 1500 miles towing and the only thing I have found is that I see more UV fade then I would like. But the UV fade on these Bulldog winch straps is still 100% less then the cheap straps you buy at box stores. 493580

I bought these for a cross country trip with my car, as I wanted to be able to strap it by the axles without worrying about the straps, and the included wear sleeve and bag made this seem like a pretty good deal. In reality though, the straps are much too soft and anything they rub against that isn't covered by the wear guard will wear right through, including it's own clip and the wood deck of the trailer. Unless you only need one time use straps, I would not buy these. 655048

I don't use these for business, but for my personal stuff. These have been great. it's really sweet that they store in their own bag too. I don't know what would hold them back for being used for business. They are very nice. For the record their was some kind of holdup for delivery when I ordered them. Before I even knew they might be late. These folks reached out to me and offered me an alternative if I was interested. They still came in within a day of when the were supposed to. This business is as PROFESSIONAL as it comes. 629591

Just received the items and I'm impressed with the carry bag for the tie-downs. The product is good quality and should suffice for my car hauler needs. Chains for heavier loads. 856088

No complaints! When I originally ordered, they arrived and one strap was fraying at the end. Etrailer replaced it at no cost. Over the past year, I have used them no less than 6 times, including one trip from NC to ID. They work great, are easy to adjust, and I really like the protective sleeve around the strap. 849412

  • Stake Pocket Anchors Compatible with Bulldog Winch Tie-Down Straps
I think we have just what you are looking for. Check out our Stake Pocket Tie-Down Anchor, # WFSPDR. This anchor mounts in the stake pockets on your trailer and gives you a d-ring tie-down point. These will work great with the Bulldog Winch Tie-Down Straps, # BDW20230 and they have a weight capacity of 4,000 lbs per anchor, which is as much capacity as you will get out of pretty much any stake pocket anchor. I attached a photo that one of our other customers submitted using these stake...

  • Minimum Strap Length of Bulldog Winch Combo Axle/Ratchet Straps
I spoke with Bulldog and the length of the non-adjustable strap piece on the # BDW20230 is going to be 12" long; the minimum strap length when the straps are fully ratcheted is going to be around 24" from the end of one hook to the end of the ratchet strap connected hook. I've attached a picture to show what I'm referencing. If you were looking for a different measurement, please let me know and I can work to find it out for you.

  • Recommended Wheel Tie-Down Straps for Tesla Model 3 on Car Hauler
Based on my research the Tesla Model 3 has 18-20 inch diameter wheels/rims that are 8.5 inches wide and uses 235/45R18 or 235/35R20 tires. I recommend using the Bulldog Winch Ratcheting Wheel Tie-Down Strap for Extra-Wide Tire - Vertical Mount - 3,335 lbs # BDW20362 for the tires on your Tesla. Traditional wheel straps won't fit the low profile wide tires, so this style strap is the best option for the application.

  • Does Triangle Ring Part of Bulldog Winch Combo Axle/Ratcheting Tie-Down Straps have to be Used
I will be happy to help. The reason that there is that triangle ring portion on the Bulldog ratcheting tie down straps # BDW20230 is so it can attach to a vehicle axle. But you can use just the hook portion to attach to something and not use the triangle ring part if needed and not suffer reduced capacity. I have linked a video featuring these straps for you.

  • Recommended Tow Straps for Car Hauler Trailer
Since the cost of four of the Erickson Car Tie Down Kit # 08504-05 is close to that of the Bulldog 4-piece set, I would go for the Bulldog kit # BDW20230. For the couple of extra dollars you get not only 10-foot straps rather than 7-footers, but you also get the carry bag to keep everything in order.

The D-Rings on your 2017 Top Hat car hauler will work just fine with the Bulldog Winch Combo Axle/Ratcheting Tie-Down Straps - Qty 4 # BDW20230 as long as they are 1 inch in thickness or less. Each strap is rated for 3,335 lbs working load limit and 10,000 lb break strength.

  • Do Bulldog Combo Axle/Ratcheting Tie-Down Straps # BDW20230 Open Enough for Tire/Wheel
The Bulldog Combo Axle/Ratcheting Tie-Down Straps # BDW20230 are intended to secure a vehicle to a trailer by its axles, not by its wheels. I recommend using this item only in the way that was intended by the manufacturer. This item does not include wheel nets such as the Erickson Adjustable Ratcheting Wheel Net # EM58522. You can use the link provided for you to view all types of cargo control including axle straps, ratchet straps and wheel nets.

  • Should Trailer Safety Chains be Crossed Under the Trailer Tongue
Safety chains on trailers should be crossed under the trailer tongue. The idea is that if the coupler pops off of the ball the safety chains will catch it so it doesn't drag on the ground. We have numerous safety chain parts available and I have included a link to them for you. You would not use straps such as # BDW20230 since straps are not rated for this application. The safety chains you use should have a capacity that at least meets if not exceeds the gross trailer weight.

To replace one of the straps from the kit you would need Bulldog Winch Combo Ratcheting Tie-Down Strap part # BDW20229.
