Simple Operation

Easily get into and out of your RV with these manual pull-out steps. All it takes is 1 hand to expand or retract the steps. Simply grab the edge of the bottom step and pull them out for use, then push them back in place for storage. The steps will automatically lock into place when stowed so that you can have peace of mind knowing that they won't accidentally extend while your RV is in motion.

Durable Aluminum and Steel Construction

These steps are made of both aluminum and steel to offer ultimate durability and strength. The extruded aluminum step platforms are lightweight and rustproof. And the strong steel frame and linkages are black powder coated for extra protection against the elements.

Slip-Resistant Surface

Each step has a ridged, non-slip surface for safe entry and exit. Because the ridges are built in, the tread maintains its texture after repeated use and exposure to the elements. And 2 wide strips of grip tape provide additional traction.

Easy Installation

Installing the steps on your RV is simple. Several pre-drilled holes in the step's mounting brackets let you match up to the holes in your RV's frame for an easy bolt-on installation. Use 2 carriage bolts and locknuts (not included) on each side to attach the mounting bracket to your RV's frame. The steps can also be welded to the frame. Outriggers (sold separately) may be needed for installation depending on the model of your original stairs.

Review from a similar Hickory RV Steps Pull-Out Steps in RV and Camper Steps

We could have saved a few dollars elsewhere, but etrailer had a great price and precise measurements which enabled us to determine these steps fit the footprint of our 8-year-old Big Easy Triple Steps by Hickory Springs. Standard shipping took only 3 days. The box was previously opened. The step had worn through the cardboard in two places and the powder coating had rubbed off, exposing bare steel. We also found rust on one step and two welds. The problems were mostly underneath, and it seemed easier to sand and repaint than to return and reorder. After installation we discovered rainwater puddles more on these steps, so we hope rust isn't an ongoing problem. Our old steps were welded in back and bolted on top. It took 2 guys 3 hours to remove and replace (not counting a trip to the hardware store or touching up the paint). Instead of welding again, we used bolts in the four top holes, drilled holes for two more bolts, and added two L brackets in back. Made them stable and easier to replace if needed. 233836

Comments

The non-skid tape on these steps started coming off within weeks. We contacted etrailer, who suggest we buy new strip at a hardware store which wouldnt match the curve of the step. We also contacted Lippert, who would replace the whole step, but not send new tape. It was too much work to do that, so we just kept the steps. We havent had the RV out in 10 months, so cant really speak to durability.

Nice steps for the price. They still have about the same side to side movement the 3 step unit that came on our 2016 Forest River Wildcat Maxx 262RGX, but it is much easier to get in and out of the rig. I measured the old step from the ground to the top of the lowest step and it was 10 1/2" compared to the 7" the new steps. So it is 2 1/2" lower now. Wifey is much happier she doesn't have to step so high now. Install was straightforward on our rig. I used my floor jack with a 3 ft long 4x4 to lower the old one and raise the new one into the opening. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars was because it came damaged and appears it was that way when packaged as the box was not hurt. At first I saw the top brace was bent down a couple of inches, but I did not bother to take a pic of that. I used a large slide hammer and got that fixed, then when I had it installed, I pulled down the first step and saw a dent in the rear of another step. There was also some chips and scratches here and there. (see attached pics) Nothing major, but a bit annoying since it was brand new. Since these weigh over 70 pounds shipping weight, it was not worth the fuss to send it back. The wife is still really happy with them and thats the main thing. It's too bad about the damage and the paint seems to chip easily. 474299

Received great consultation about comparable products before ordering. Ordered late Friday afternoon from Southern California and UPS delivered the following Wednesday. Good installation instructions that was relatively easy. First purchase experience with etrailer but won't be the last. 162916

Comments

I purchased theses stairs to replace same set of stairs be causing rivets were popping making it unsafe to walk on them. RV dealership refused to replacefix them because fifth wheel was off warranty. Well the same thing has happened to the new set of stairs. They started out strong and sturdy but have now weakened, twist/flex more and rivets are beginning to pop again. I use stabilizers under the bottom stair but the more they are used the less stable they become. Replacing original stairs with the same type was not the best idea. I heard about a recall on these steps to have rivets replaced but RV dealership said it only applies to original stairs! We use our RV a few months a year so I guess these stairs are more suitable for the occasional user!

Ordered 2 of part # LC341501 Lippert manual pullout steps to replace the steps that came on my new 2015 26' Springdale trailer. I wanted both steps to be 3 steps with a 7" rise. One of the trailer's original steps was a 3 step with a 9" rise and the other was a 2 step with a 7" rise. In replacing the steps, one was a simple take off the original one and bolt on the new one. The second set of steps was a little more engineering to replace. I was putting a 27 1/2 wide step into a place where a 25 1/4 step had been. With help from my Dad we got the second set of steps bolted into place, all without having to do any welding. By the attached picture you can see that they both look like they came on the trailer. The new steps made getting into and out of the trailer a lot easier and safer for my wife and I. 164090

Review from a similar Hickory RV Steps Pull-Out Steps in RV and Camper Steps

The camper steps arrived two days after I placed my order, with free shipping. Very impressive! What was not impressive is the steps arrived with surface damage, either caused by abusive handling prior to or during packaging, or during shipment. There were four areas of surface gouges in the aluminum steps, and one area that was dented. Photos of the damaged areas are attached, as well as a couple of photos of the box and packing material. Since aluminum is a relatively soft metal, the steps should have been better protected for shipment using bubble-wrap and foam padding, as a minimum. On the positive side, the steps fit my trailer perfectly, and were relatively easy to install using a floor jack. I credit etrailer's provision of detailed dimensions in their website product description for the good fit. As I only discovered the previously described damage after unfolding the steps for the first time after installation, it's not worth the time and effort to remove and re-package the steps for return/replacement. Future shipments of any product made from or containing aluminum should definitely be better protected during assembly and packaging. One of item of note is the black paint coating the steel box frame of the step assembly was applied over a significant amount of random weld spatter on the steel surfaces, which was not adequately removed during surface preparation prior to painting. Time will tell whether this condition will result in accelerated corrosion. 480754

I received the steps very quickly, and was very pleased with the purchasing process. Unfortunately, I am disappointed in the product. While the steps were not hard to install (even though I had to grind off the rivets on the lower braces from my old steps to reuse them), they are not too substantial. They sag under weight (I weigh 210 lbs.), especially the lowest step. They are solidly mounted - the give is in the steps themselves. We have to use a brace under them. I really expected more quality. 82101

I have the same steps and they do deflect a little, but all my previous steps on this camper and others did also. I weigh 312 pounds and often carry loads of up to 50 pounds in and out with no problem. They are rated at a 750 pound capacity. I replaced the steps because the others were damaged when the camper ped in a hole. Dont worry, they are strong enough.

Perhaps I got a defective set of steps. I eventually replaced them with a new set from a different manufacturer, which are rock solid.

Quad steps were shipped 4/13 and arrived 4/15 also the box was in great shape when I opened it. I own a 2005 Presidential with 16" tires plenty of room from door frame to ground. I used a floor jack under my original steps, removed four nuts and removed the steps. The angel iron that holds the steps has 4 holes so I suggest to mark over the top of the holes that your bolts came out of this way you won't line your new steps up on the wrong holes ( like I did ) . Using the floor jack I razed the new steps in place and once in place I inserted 3 bolts I had around and put them in the holes just to hold the steps in place , removed the jack and opened up the steps giving me room to work on the nuts and bolts. Because the bottom of the trailer is enclosed I had to cut the metal back on each side about 1".5 I then taped the bolt to a paint stick and ran it up to the hole and installed the nut doing all 4 that way. It took me about an hour, The steps work very easy bringing out and folding back in I will say there is some give on the 1st step but do to the length of the steps and all the hinges for each step I under stand, the other 3 steps are solid. To sum it up " If the wife is happy " then I did a good job. I will say having a picture of the steps opened out with the measurements helped out a great deal on their web site easy to stare and compare before ordering . Sorry no pictures. 245645

Approach angle is not as steep as the three steps that came on the R V. The brand we purchased was different but with very little modification they bolted to the original frame where the steps were. The four steps has made a tremendous difference and much safer for entering and exiting the R V. My wife is extremley happy with her new steps. 79840

You will need to measure where the current steps mount. The overall width of this unit is 27-3/4 apart, so you will need that much space available to mount the steps. The mounting holes measure 26-1/2 inches apart, side to side, and 7 inches apart front to back.

Review from a similar Hickory RV Steps Pull-Out Steps in RV and Camper Steps

My wife and I are very satisfied and certainly impressed with this product. In fact, I fail to understand why the larger size steps are not mandatory issue or at least made an option at time of the RV Unit purchase (for all larger size RV's). The "wide" step width is the only way to go and well worth the few dollars extra in price cost as they increase ease of access and reduce the risk to tripping on entry and exit. They are well made, operate smoothly and very easy to install. Bolt patterns were perfect and I had them operational in less than 1 hour. Shipping cost was exceptional and delivery was made within designated time line. Well done Etrailer. The reason I did not rate these steps as 5 star is because, the lower step (like all RV non motorized steps) has that familiar give when you 1st put all your weight on the lower platform. What did impress me though was the stability in the next two steps which is excellent. Strongly recommend when buying any step including this one to also purchase the adjustable stabilizing jacks which are placed under the lowest step to reduce or eliminate this movement. The other reason I did not rate these steps as 5 star relates to the fact the measurement between each step is different than the standard 7 3/4" to 8" rise which is normal in all building construction. I do recommend the purchase of these steps. 262727

Review from a similar Hickory RV Steps Pull-Out Steps in RV and Camper Steps

Steps fit in the exact same holes as the old steps came out of, so it should be an easy installation....right? Not bad, but trying at times. The fit was so tight that aligning the holes were a bit of a challenge. There is little to no room for error in getting the bolts aligned and in place. The steps are not light so the assistance of a floor jack did make things easier than using the upper body strength of a good friend or wife. So in summary, the overall install easy to do considering there were no instructions. Would have been nice if the steps came with new hardware, which it did not. The greatest challenge is aligning the bolt holes and balancing the steps on a floor jack. However, the language used during this installation was "G rated", so it couldn't have been all that bad. The additional 4th step is a great improvement over the standard 3 step RV entrance. The is more flex in the new steps, but that is to be expected due to the added length. Easy to fold and extend with ease. As for price, I price shopped hard for the best price available. E Trailer was by far the best deal to be had either online or from a box store location. Shipping was fast. The entire purchase was exceptional. 270384

Review from a similar Hickory RV Steps Pull-Out Steps in RV and Camper Steps

I hate writing reviews, But I feel that I have to. this is the nicest manual step I have ever seen or used. I replaced a defunct electric step on my Holiday Rambler motor home. This being a 3 step was much more convenient than the double step I removed. But that is only for me, the new step is a great step, I have never seen a better working step, it is the easy opening step, one hand, no tugging because it gets caught. Folds out and in freely and stays up while I drive. It is smooth, good paint job, and feels secure when i step on it, even the low step which often feels insecure on lesser quality steps. OH I forgot, I laughed all the way to the bank when I paid for it, etrailer.com charged much less for this quality step and with free shipping. etrailer treated me right and shipping was fast 362694

I ordered a step for my camp trailer. The product wasn't in stock at the time of the order. I am very happy with the level of service I have received so far. George at etrailer kept me up to date on when etrailer expected to received more inventory, notified me when they received the new stock, notified me when the order had shipped and followed up to make sure I received the order and was happy with the product and service. I haven't had an opportunity to install or use the steps yet, but they seem to be well made and sturdy. 218045

Simply awesome! Took about 20 minutes to install, and fit perfectly on our 2013 Eclipse Attitude 34CRS. Did not have to drill any holes, cut, or bend anything. Literally removed the 4 factory bolts, removed the old 3 stair steps, and bolted in the new 4 stair steps using the same hardware. The tread step covers even fit perfectly and we've purchased an additional one since the attached photo was taken. We had previously had the axles flipped on the trailer to level it with the truck and provide more ground clearance off-road and it was extremely high...the steps were difficult to use and we ended up using a Camping World portable step at it's max height 100% of the time. Sometimes, even that was not enough. Have not tried them out camping yet, but even in the driveway the access is clearly improved now! They look and feel just as sturdy and as well made as the original ones did. Should have done this back when we had the axles flipped! Highly recommended!!! 175906

Review from a similar Hickory RV Steps Pull-Out Steps in RV and Camper Steps

These steps were installed as replacements on a 2009 Sunnybrook travel trailer. They are well made, firm, and fit in place easily by lifting with an "alligator" floor jack. I did have to enlarge 2 holes for existing bolts to fit. I took the time to file the edges and corners of the aluminum steps so they were less pointed and sharp. A suggestion for the manufacturer is to also finish the underside of the bottom step so it could be stepped on when not folded down because of high ground or narrow parking space. When installed, the folded up assembly did stick out about 1.5 inches more from the side of the trailer. Overall, I am very pleased with the finished product and again appreciated the fine service at etrailer.com. 521879

This thing works well. Great for those short folks. A helping hand would be nice but I managed to put it on with the help of a small hydraulic jack. The upper holes matched up perfectly. This actually has a little give to it as it needs more bracing. My factory 3-step came with a set of braces attached to the frame. Next trip to camper I will drill the sides of these new steps to attach the braces. Should make for a much stronger unit 195329

Perfect for my travel trailer. I replaced my 2 step with this 3 step for easier entry/exit. I did however have to modify my existing brackets to accommodate the wider assembly on the 3 step. Removing the original 2 step was easy as 4 carriage bolts and the stairs drop out. Next I cut the weld on the frame with cut off wheel/die grinder and removed the one front nut and washer on brackets. I then put the left bracket on the right and vice versa to allow for the wider 3 step assembly. I used a floor jack and board to raise new stairs into position. Once bolts were in and stairs were lined up perfect I welded the brackets to the frame and replaced the nuts and washers. Cleaned up old welds and repainted frame and brackets. Looks like it came from the manufacturer that way. I wish I would have taken pictures but I was anxious to get them on. All in all it took about 45 mins. With the majority of the time grinding old welds and cutting brackets. Great price and free shipping I could not be more happier. Thanks etrailer 260294

Replaced damaged steps on my Columbus 5th wheel with Lippert Quad steps (LC341504) purchased from eTrailer. The process was smooth and the steps arrived in good condition despite the condition of the box. In addition to the steps I ordered the Mounting Hardware (LC118155-72) and the Lippert Outriggers (LC301704; which were not needed, just didn't know if they were needed or not). Dropping the old steps and mounting the new ones was very easy with the help of a floor jack and a short piece of 2X12 to balance the steps on. Not knowing what I was doing the whole process took about an hour, if I had known it probably would have taken about 30 minutes. Some initial confusion by eTrailer whether the steps were in stock but once that was squared away the parts were shipped right away. Will do business with eTrailer again. 279347

I just received my Quad 8" Drop/Rise 24" Wide steps; Very well packaged no damage upon delivery but the UPS drive did struggle a little with the weight of the box. I took a hydraulic floor jack and a 26" piece of plywood placed it under the old steps and unbolted the four bolts and crews, then let the jack down. I paced the new steps onto the plywood and jacked them up into place; the holes on the new steps matched and aligned with old brackets perfectly no modifications were needed (what a relief). Once all the bolts were tightened I performed a load test with my 200 pd stature; I must say this is a very well built product, my mother used to struggle making it up the old 3 steps she had no problems going up/down the new Lippert 4 step without any assistance. They unfolded and folded back into place with ease. I'm placing another order for my back door asap. All newly manufactured trailers should be equipped with Quad Steps not just for ease of use but also safety. Thank you etrailer for fast and courteous service. 216264

Review from a similar Hickory RV Steps Pull-Out Steps in RV and Camper Steps

I am a senior and also have a bad knee. It’s extremely hard to find steps that have a Drop/Rise (height between steps) with a shorter height. I even hear much younger people complain about the height of the steps they currently have. These steps make it much easier and more comfortable to get in and out of my travel trailer and that makes them much safer as well. It also makes it easier for my 15 year old Corgi. They are heavy duty steel and very well made. The slotted holes punched into the steps give excellent footing and also help clean mud and dirt off of your shoes. This really helps to cut down on the amount of dirt tracked into the trailer. The fact that there are three steps make them wells suited for parks with varying ground clearance levels. The price is unbeatable for what you get and most likely can’t be matched. I have purchased several items over the past couple of years from etrailer.com because they have quality products, excellent prices, and great customer service. 198153

Review from a similar Hickory RV Steps Pull-Out Steps in RV and Camper Steps

Received in good shape though there was a few scratches from where the steps rub when folded up, so even if it arrived in perfect condition, it would end up with these minor scratches. The steps fit VERY snugly into the existing bolt holes of the camper, and by "very" I mean it took quit a bit of maneuvering and aligning using screwdrivers in the holes to keep them lined up. If either the step holes or the camper bracket holes were so much as 1/16" off, I would have had to drill. Used a jack with a board like someone mentioned that bought these earlier and it worked out great. The steps are very sturdy - I'm 300 lbs and there's very little flex or give. The only problem is we've grown very accustomed to three steeper steps! So going from those to a gentle rise/run of four steps is taking some getting used to. I would highly recommend these to anyone that wants an easier rise/run and eliminate the potential for a high first step if you're on a sloped site. 479923

Was happy that the new steps arrived. Removed the old ones and as fast as I could and put in the new ones. It was a bonus to find that the new steps was made in the USA??. Works flawlessly. The old steps was accidentally left down and not noticed. Well it hit a cement step and folded up to the point that it was totally unusable. Back in business 529512

One of, if not the best, steps made. The fluid in/out folding movement is far superior to the "slide and yank" movement of other brands. Although I was worried about the strength of a Quad step, as compared to the triple step I was replacing (raised my new 5er to match the lift on my truck), this was not an issue with these steps. Even the fourth step is surprisingly strong and stable. I opted to install a couple of Stabil-Steps (see separate review) for added durability over many future years of use. However, even before installing the stabilizers, I was more than pleased with the Lippert Quad steps. Hats off to the engineer that figured out how to get a set of quad steps into a smaller retracted package than my triple steps! Since I was replacing a Lippert Triple with a Lippert Quad, it was as simple as removing four bolts, swapping the steps, and replacing the same four bolts. Couldn't have taken more than 15 minutes max. 206217

I had previously ordered a set of stairs from another site - unfortunately they didn't fit. The other site would not accept a return. The dealer where I first purchased our trailer said they had no way to verify which stairs were the correct ones but they would accept returns but I had to pay two way freight. This is a pretty big nut as they are big and heavy. etrailer had great pics and assistance and I was pretty sure that the model offered was correct. AND they paid freight (at least when I ordered). The steps came, went on easily in just a few minutes. As mentioned they are big and heavy so it will take two people and a jack but the installation is simple. They are very solid and glide very easily. After I ordered, George J from etrailer followed up to make sure all was OK. I can clearly recommend theses guys and will definitely buy from them again. PS - be careful when off-roading with your trailer in the woods. 188169

Review from a similar Hickory RV Steps Pull-Out Steps in RV and Camper Steps

My wife had knee replacement surgery. The original steps that came with the Rockwood Mini Lite 2109s had steps that were 9 inches of rise and made entry and exit difficult for her. I looked for steps that were 7 inches or less in rise for her. I measured the mounts on the original steps and looked for steps that had mounts that matched. The Hickory Springs number 953240RXWC3 had frames and mounts that matched. I had a plan to remove and replace the steps. (Sometimes my plans do not go as planned.) However, I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to do the work. I did the job in less than an hour. I used a floor jack to remove and replace the steps. The steps fit the original mounting holes precisely. My wife came by just as I finished the work. She tried the new steps and she said they were much easier for her to get in and out of the trailer. She will be a happy camper now and I am happy I bought these steps. 508958

The hardest part of the install was getting the old nuts off the bolts. I used previous reviews to help make the install easier. I used two pieces of rope and one long 2x4 to support the steps. I placed one rope tightly over each end of the closed steps and 2x4, and lifted each side just high enough to get a single 2x6 to support the steps on each end. I raised the other end and added another 2x6. The trailer enclosure supported the back of the steps and I used the old steps to steady the front until I had enough room to place a bottle jack under the 2x4 strapped to the steps. It was then just a matter of jacking up the steps to meet the old bolts. We have had a chance to use the steps at a weekend retreat. The steps function smoothly and they appear to be made of substantial steel. We are in our late 60's and my wife has an easier time getting into and out of the coach. Should have done it a couple of years ago. 258613

The replacement Pull-Out steps were a perfect fit, I mean exact it and came in a day earlier than expected. I spent a lot of time on their web site searching their excellent inventory then called customer service & placed my order. Rose was very, very helpful with selecting my best option. I recommend them highly and will make them my "Go To" in the future. 212230

These steps are well made and easy to pull out and put back. My wife is going to love them. I chose to weld them in place. Just had to cut the old ones out and build a bracket to weld the new ones in. They were a little wider than my old ones but with a little fabrication they fit fine. Total time: 2-1/2 hours. 454411

I have received and installed my steps on my 2013 Airstream International 27 FB The steps look fantastic and everything went well in the installation. The bolt pattern was as described and so it was just a matter of getting off the old steps and installing directly to my trailer using the existing riggers. 492376

I ordered the item from etrailer based on my previous experience with the company. They again exceeded my expectations. My order arrived a day earlier. The step assembly arrived well packaged. I removed my old steps and installed the new steps. Took about 20 minutes. The bolt holes were perfect and I think that these steps add to the appearance of my Airstream. These steps were recommended by another Airstream owner and I have to agree they do look great. I am really happy with the purchase. 539868

I searched extensively for a practical two step replacement for the damaged three step OEM steps on my travel trailer. The original steps hung down too far and the entire assembly bent when brushing against a hump in the road. (Boondocking is occasionally challenging.) My intent in replacing the old steps was to raise the underside profile of the trailer for more confident maneuvering on less than perfectly flat back roads. These steps were exactly what I needed to replace the steps on my travel trailer. Fit was precise and installation couldn't have been easier. As well, they are super easy to operate. I also very much appreciated finding the exact measurements clearly posted on the etrailer web site. That made choosing the correct steps for my needs especially easy! Oh yes, did I mention fast shipping, too? Outstanding service and quality American made products are always appreciated! 490354

I ordered retractable steps SM-24-39 for my Toy hauler because someone drove into the original. They are an exact match to the original still on the other door and at $120 cheaper than OEM by the Caper Supply where I purchased the Fifth Wheel. Thanks 78515

Steps arrived in great shape ,no shipping damage. I was unable to immediately install them but just recently was able and they installed with no problems and worked very smooth, much better than the original steps. 174807

Got the stairs bolted in today and it was a tight fit but very secure. Replacing the stock 3 step entry with the new four steps provide a less steep, more comfortable climb to get into the 5'er. Great product and service, cannot beat the free shipping. This my second purchase from etrailer. 200260

Review from a similar Hickory RV Steps Pull-Out Steps in RV and Camper Steps

On Saturday, August 17th, my wife and I left a campsite and forgot to fold up the steps to our Open Range 337RLS travel trailer. On the way out of the camp ground, I managed to snag them on a post - which totally mangled them. I was able to unbolt them easily and when I arrived home later that day, I searched the internet for a replacement set of stairs. I found this product on the eTrailer.com site, placed the order and it was processed the same day. The steps arrived on Wednesday and I was able to easily install them on Saturday the 24th. What I really like about this set of steps is the treads are 2" wider than the factory set. Having 10" treads instead of 8" treads makes existing the travel trailer more secure for both my wife and myself. I highly recommend this set of steps and getting them from eTrailer.com 96815

I ordered the quad steps to replace the triple which had too large a bottom rise due to the slope of our pad. I ordered the steps on January 17 and received then on January 24. That's 7 days with free shipping; pretty amazing. The steps arrived in perfect condition and my wife and I installed them today. I built a scaffold to hold up the steps, using a car jack to line up the bolt holes. The fit was tight, but I prefer that as it resulted in a nice solid installation. There's about the same amount of flex in the bottom step as there was in the bottom of the triple. This is a great product, and outstanding service 470648

I've just now began to install my trailer steps after I had to straighten the 2 pieces welded to the frame. So far I got one bolt attached (only 3 to go) and it looks like a perfect match. The steps came in mint condition. Thanks for a quick response, All the best!!! Tom M. 207074

Review from a similar Hickory RV Steps Pull-Out Steps in RV and Camper Steps

Received the new steps (double step) yesterday to replace the single step that came on my trailer. The original step was Flexco brand and it was well over a foot from the trailer to that step making entering and leaving a chore. My missus slipped and bruised her hip and that led me to search for a double step. Of course, I chose etailer as they always have great products and prices and bought this double step as it had the lowest price. I was concerned about fitment but it went on without drama and the bolts that retained the new steps to the welded bracket on my trailer lined up perfectly. The double step is a tad heavy and awkward and having someone start a carriage bolt on each side when fitting the steps is helpful. My wife loves the new steps and decided to keep me! Thanks etrailer! 415417

The quality of the step looks very good. I haven't installed it nor used it I just checked that it would fit and inspected it to see how well its built. I am very pleased with the service I received from trailer. The shipping of the step was very prompt. There are no instruction included with the step, but installing it is very straight forward. Just remove the old step, keeping all the bolts and hardware, and installing the new step using the same hardware. On the product reviews there were several who wrote about installing the step and there are several good suggestions. Since the steps are fairly heavy it helps to use a floor jack or bottle jack on both the removal of the old step and installation of the new step to hold it in place while removing the hardware. 153919

I bought what I thought were the same steps. Measured the old one before removing so I could put new one in the same place. The new ones Fit perfect in the same location, squared it to the frame and clamped it in place and then tried to fold them out to see what they looked like. The lower step did not clear the side of the trailer. So I slid them out until it did, now the steps extend from the side of the trailer 2 1/2 in, with 1/8 clearance on the foldout The OE was a 7 inch rise, the new ones came in at 6 5/8. 3/8 in x 2 steps a loss of 3/4 in. total. Bolted them in place and tried them out, very solid and nice looking. I don't know if the side clearance will be an issue, I'll find out. Just a note, I build concrete steps for a living. Have a good Day. 502940

Thanks for the easy ordering and fast delivery! The installation of steps wasn't hard, but the 5th Wheel manufacturer had welded original steps in place, so that took a while to get them off. I needed these steps in a hurry because of a trip in a couple days and we're taking our 80 year old folks along. The original set-up was a 3 step system and final step into trailer was over 12 inches! The 4th step will make entry to trailer so much easier. Our salesman Mike assured us that the new steps would be shipped that same day, and they were! Thanks etrailer . 101271

Shipped quick. Fits in real nice. I measured 10 times and ordered once. Got an exact fit. Turned in to quite the project but only because the original rusted out steps were all riveted into place. They look much better and they feel very sturdy. We'll be camping this weekend and trying them out with the whole family. I'll come back and let you know if they get another star. But so far, so good. I am concerned about it biting my finger when I open that third step. There's no handle and zero clearance. Open it only from the very edge or else. 540471

Two rivets have come out on the bottom step which can be fixed easy enough. Other then that the steps work well for us.
