Got it pronto. Just what I needed to feel safe pulling my bass boat. Very good quality and strong. Installed on a 2011 Rockwood 30' 8280 WS. The only modification was to move stabilizer jacks forward 3". 258430
Very well made. Heavy duty. Took some modifications to bolt onto I beam of my 5th wheel. The ledge of I-beam wasn't as deep as the bracket so therefore I had to install with a few less bolts. Appears that it should still be strong & hope to give it a try by towing our golf cart behind camper in the next few days. Takes some time and numerous drill bits to get the job done. 715046

I was very pleased with the ordering process, the very quick delivery date, and the installation process. Although I did have to relocate my stabilizer jacks about 4 inches, this was no real issue. The hitch fit like a glove and I was able to install it myself. It took me a little longer than most others because I'm 68 yrs old and also have Parkinson's Disease. So If I can install it, I figure most anyone can. I've included a picture. Thanks etrailer for a great experience. 443026
I am reviewing the Curt Adjustable RV Hitch (13703). I purchased the Curt Adjustable RV Hitch for my Fifth Wheel Durango camper. I want to thank the etrailer staff for their assistance with this purchase and especially Kim who did some research on it to answer my questions. This is the third purchase I have made from etrailer.com and I'm always impressed with the assistance and technical information I receive from the staff. I received the hitch very promptly and in good condition. This hitch is a very sturdy hitch in my opinion. I did not find installation instructions with the product when I received it, so I went to the etrailer.com website and found the installation instructions on the product's etrailer webpage, ready to download, which I did. The installation of the hitch required more than the 60 minutes listed on the instructions page. I bolted the hitch on a box frame support under the fifth wheel, which took much longer than welding it on. I would suggest using a half-inch drill as a three-eights drill is just not heavy enough. Using C-clamps, I clamped the hitch in the correct position. I had to drill a couple of extra holes on each end of the hitch brackets due to the proximity of the manufactured holes to the edge of the box frame I was bolting it to. The bolts used are not what is listed on the parts list, which is one-half inch by 2 inches long. The bolts are actually two and one-quarter inches long, which made them too long to place inside the box frame support and be pulled through the drilled holes. I had to cut about three-eighths inch (or four threads) off of each bolt (12 in all) that was placed inside the box frame to be pulled through the frame bracket. These same bolts (4 bolts/2 on each end) also would not work when placed inside the main body tube which was bolted into the frame bracket. Trimming these bolts is what took so much time to complete the project. There is a unique way used to pull the bolts from inside the box frame support through all the drilled holes using a "fishwire'. My hitch came with two fishwires which are used by placing through the drilled holes, screwing the bolts into the wire, and pulling the bolt (with square hole spacer) through the hole from the inside of the box frame support. This process would have been much easier if I had had two inch bolts. The instructions also note that the bolts have to be torqued to 110 ft-lbs. But, it is now mounted to my fifth wheel securely and I am very happy with the hitch and how it fits my camper. Again, thanks to Kim for helping me with questions about the hitch before I purchased it. 462932
Arrived as ordered. Very easy to read instructions. The pieces fit together well. The quality is great. Looks great on my RV. Highly recommended. etrailer.com was an easy to use app and customer service is the best 602373
After figuring out how to mount this hitch on our camper it was evident that it would not bolt up to the existing brackets. We dropped the underbelly and ground off the brackets existing on the trailer and had a welder come in and weld the brackets that came with the hitch on the trailer! We are very pleased with the hitch. We are going to use it for our bike rack and maybe later something heavier! 703203

Quality product. Was shipped very fast. Installed it myself with help from a jack and C-clamp. Looking forward to hooking up the boat and go fishing. Thanks 636274
Install went smoothly, had to relocate the manual scissor jacks that are used to level the RV. Receiver hitch was heavy duty with quality bolting hardware included. 423075
A lot longer than an hour to install and my son is still not done. 435557
THIS IS POSSIBLY THE ONLY WAY TO PUT A HITCH ON A FIFTH WHEEL. IT FIT LIKE IT WAS MADE FOR IT. I USE IT TO TRAILER MY HARLEY AND IT WORKS GREAT. I AM NOT AFRAID OF IT FALLING OFF DOWN THE ROAD. GREAT HITCH!!! 258058
Product was excellent. Service from Jesse and (second Lady whom I cant remember her name) was Outstanding!!. Now for the Ugly. The product arrived in a box that was blown open. The main parts were all good and there. (Hard to damage 1/4" and 3/8" steel.) The hardward (bolts and such) were loose in a box with holes. I was missing about 8-10 pieces. When you ship the hardware, it needs to be a box in a box. Not Loose. I called and the lady I cant remember the name of, was great and even fast shipped a new hardware kit chop-chop. Over all very happy as always with E-trailer. The "Curt" product was well done and highly recommend it for big fifth wheel campers. 920034
Jesse did a great job helping me order this great combo for our 5th wheel. We've got everything installed, (welded to frame) and seems like a good heavy duty platform for our whole house generator. 916645
I was very disappointed. Not so much with the product, it worked fine. But with the recommendation of this product for my camper. Once installed it hung very low to the ground, so low I had trouble with it catching the ground in some places. I have since removed it from my camper and am trying to figure out what to do with it. I feel the etrailer team should have recommended something different or recommended not adding a hitch of there wasn't an option that didn't hang down prohibitively low. 896760
The hitch has worked out great for me. It allows me good options for towing. 895311
Rock solid hitch and was very simple to install on my fifth wheel camper. Heavy duty steel plates and hitch assembly. Much better product then I expected, it will easily carry two fat tire electric bikes. 876894
Very easy installation and great instru ctions. 876334
Worked very well. My install required two welded brackets to be cut off and re-welded. I also had to cut off the welded frame end caps to fish through the square washer/nut. So depending on your RV setup install maybe be more difficult than just drilling and bolting on The hitch is top quality and I have no concerns about using it and have now several times to two my utility trailer and 4-wheeler. 875805
Great price, fast delivery, easy install, and a rock solid hitch! 868432
The Curt RV hitch is very sturdy and attractive. The installation was not difficult at all, but was complicated on our particular fifth wheel because it is a rear kitchen model, therefore requiring me to disconnect propane lines to the stove and refrigerator, moving them while doing the installation. Since the hitch is adjustable from 22-76 inches wide, it will easily work with most typical rv frames. Also, this hitch is very heavy so I would suggest planning appropriately. Once done, the hitch performed flawlessly, allowing us to easily tow our bass boat behind the fifth wheel. 867401
Works great. Tandem Tow my enclosed trailer behind our 5th wheel to get our motorcycle and/or UTV to our destinations. 865420
THE BRACKET HAD TO CUT DOWN REDRILLED I DID NOT HAVE THE EQUIPMENT TO DO SOO. 857009
Hands down the worst experience I've had in my entire life trying to install anything and I have overhauled engines, had bikes, ATV's, and worked construction most my life. Did not work with anything on this camper as far as alignment. Everything had to be drilled and/or re-drilled, had to buy different bolts at $35, burned $40 in drill bits... You cant find anyone to install as they say its a liability issue. Would only buy again if I had a welder. 848996
