When I ordered the bike rack it was indicated online it would arrive in 4 days. 4 days later I checked to see the status and found it had been delayed by two weeks since it was not in stock. I called and expressed my disappointment in etrailer showing it in stock when it was not. They apologized and indicated an mistake in their inventory management and said they would try to expedite it if possible. I was VERY IMPRESSED that 4 days later they shipped it and I did not have to wait an additional two weeks. I was impressed their admission of error, their apology and their attention to my concern and their response to try to help if possible. The bike rack was easy to install, had excellent instructions and seems very solid and well built. I have only tested it around the block but it seems sturdy, east to mount bikes, adjustable to suit the bikes and I look forward to taking on a excursion later this week. 898410

I use this hitch on my 2018 Prius Prime. I’m very satisfied with the quality and workmanship that Yakima offers. It is strong and solid. The welds are precise and the blend of metals is perfect to keep the weight low. I paid $xx.xx for this rack and it’s well worth it. If you like quality at a price, buy this. It turns heads 821148

Defective materials. Hitch bent in first mile. First I want to say that etrailer has been great! Yakima, however, was very disappointing. I have had other Yakima racks and they were fine. I spent a long time researching racks for 3 bikes and chose the Dr Tray rack. Installed rack per instructions and did a test with 3 bikes. I loaded the heaviest bike closest to car (37 lbs), middle bike next (35 lbs), and lightest bike on outside (30 lbs). All bikes were under the recommended max weight of 40 lbs each tray and 120 lbs total. I then did a test drive to end of the street about 1 mile. This includes going VERY slowly over 3 speed bumps. (Slower than in the video by etrailer!) I noticed the bikes were hanging significantly lower. I got out and checked the rack and noted that the rack had bent at the heavy metal part that goes into the hitch receiver on my car. (See attached pictures). It also bent the tightening mechanism on the hitch and I had difficulty getting the rack off the car. I have returned the rack to etrailer and contacted Yakima. This should definitely NOT have happened with such minimal stress. This is a SAFETY ISSUE for Yakima that needs to be fixed. I would not want put my expensive bikes on this rack at all! Very surprised that the heaviest metal part of the rack actually bent. BTW, I subsequently ordered the RockyMounts Monorail 3. It is WAY more solid and a great rack. It was also $300 less!! 804241

I like the rack as loading my bikes is so much easier and they don't rub against each other or the back of my car. The only downside is the pin that goes through the receiver, it does not go all the way through the receiver which makes me a little uneasy as I'm afraid the rack could slide out of the receiver. The rack uses a different locking mechanism that works well but I'd like something a little more solid. I plan to install a small safety chain. 795239

This is the first rack that I've owned that delivers on all fronts. Bought it to take our bikes on a 1,300 mile ride down to Florida and the stability of the bikes on the rack was terrific! The system really locks the bikes to the rack - no movement at all. Add to that the built in locking cables along with the "tilt down" feature to get into your vehicle and you have one great product. etrailer.com's price was very competitive and it shipped without any damage to the product. Highly recommend this rack! 584116

Arrived earlier than expected. Easy to assemble using pictures and directions. First time E trailer user. Will use E trailer again if need arises!! Product much lighter than former hitch mount bike rack. Easier to put in place on car and remove, stores easier with less space, easier placement on and removal of bikes. Looking forward to many years of use as seems very well made with lighter aluminum materials. 529050

The bike rack is super easy to install and hold bikes on it extremely well while you're driving. It's also super easy to load and unload your bike. The built in cables and locks were also easy to use..... So why 1 star? Well, we used it one time, one year ago. locked our bikes to the hitch and within a few the cables locking the bikes on had been cut and the bikes stolen. We lost a $2.500 bike and a $500 bike and the rack is useless without bikes and /or the ability to lock them to the rack. We don't live an a high crime area but we are in a city. Buy this only if you live in a low crime area in suburbia. 518968

Ordered Yakima Dr. Tray bike rack, at unbeatable price from etrailer. Arrived within 5 days of placing the order! Second item I have ordered in past month. I have decisive taste for good customer service, and that is exactly why I went back! You NEED to let etrailer have your business! 514685

Great value and this has been excellent so far. I ran into a problem that I've seen a few other people who have purchased this have issues with: the key included does not work in the hitch tightening knob. A quick call to Yakima customer support and I had a new cylinder and cylinder removal tool in my mailbox a couple days later. If I hadn't known about that problem going into it, I probably would have been a bit more frustrated. Mounting bikes on this is very easy, using the lock is relatively easy although the rubber guide blocks will stick in their channel if you're not pulling/pushing on them at the right angle (relatively shallow). It's also much easier to tilt this down and back up when loaded (at least with 1 bike on it) when compared to the hanging-style rack I used before. The tailgate on my "pickup" (2006 Avalanche) easily clears the bike when the platform is in the lowered position. 410198
