The Sport Rider SE2 platform-style hitch bike rack makes it simple to carry 2 bikes on the rear of your vehicle. This versatile rack is easy to use, and it features locking frame hooks and adjustable wheel hoops, so you can quickly load and unload your bikes. An anti-rattle system tightens the rack's shank to your hitch receiver to prevent it from rattling around inside the tube.
Locking, Ratcheting Hooks
The Sport Rider SE2 uses locking frame hooks to secure your bikes. The ratcheting, cushioned hooks easily adjust along the vertical mast and lock securely in place. The release buttons allow each hook to slide up the ratcheting arm for bike removal. The hooks function independently, which means you can position them to carry bikes of different heights.
Adjustable Wheel Hoops
The wheel hoops accommodate bicycles with wheelbases up to 60" by sliding along the horizontal arms. They are secured in place with easy-to-use hand knobs, and the Velcro-like hook-and-loop straps fasten the wheels to the hoops.
If you want to carry a fat bike on the Sport Rider SE2, you can replace the rack's wheel hoops with fat bike hoops (sold separately).
Folding, Tilting Design
The rack tilts, with or without bikes loaded, for easy access to your vehicle's rear cargo area. Simply remove the pivot pin, pull the bottom quick-release spring pin, and lower the rack.
The rack also folds up against the back of your vehicle when it's not in use. To raise the rack, just pull the upper quick-release spring pin and lift.
Tool-Free Installation with Anti-Rattle System
The rack installs in your hitch without the need for tools. Simply slide the shank into your receiver until the welded stop plate contacts the hitch. The stop plate saves you from getting on your hands and knees to align the pin holes while inserting the hitch pin. Once the pin is in place, attach the lock pod. Lastly, use the integrated anti-wobble handle on the front of the shank to tighten the rack inside your hitch receiver and prevent it from rattling.
Complete Security for Bikes and Rack
The Sport Rider comes with locks for both the rack and your bikes to deter theft. The lock cores in the frame hooks hold the bike down on the rack and prevent them from moving. Also, the lock pod attaches to the hitch pin to secure the rack to your vehicle. These locks are conveniently keyed alike. For extra protection, the 8' long security cable wraps through the bike frames, connects to the hitch pin, and is secured to the pin by the hitch lock.
Add-On Adapters
The Sport Rider SE2 is expandable and adaptable. If you want to carry 4 bikes, a two-bike add-on accessory (sold separately) is available.
If you want to carry both 2 bikes and extra gear, an add-on cargo basket (sold separately) is available.
If you want to use the rack to transport a kid's bike with 16" or 18" wheels, wheel hoop adapters (sold separately) are available.
If you want to transport 1 recumbent delta trike or 1 recumbent tadpole-style trike with the Sport Rider SE2, you can use the HRTRK-ADP adapter (sold separately). Or if you want to transport 1 standard bike and either 1 recumbent delta trike, 1 recumbent tadpole-style trike, or 1 adult trike, then you can use the HRTRK-ADP-2 adapter (sold separately).

Anti-rattle system reduces wobble and sway while driving.Was a little concerned when I tried to pick up the shipping box and felt the substantial weight, but realized that to have a sturdy and stable rack, the materials have to be heavy. The assembly and adjustment process was easy and our bikes fit perfectly. The fold back feature allowed the hatchback to open fully with bikes attached. Took our Lexus RX out for a test drive over some bumpy roads and speed bumps and everything was rock steady. Excellent product! Very happy! Highly recommended!
Dale - 04/29/2021This bike rack is second to none especially in this price range. I MHO I think this item is superior to many other brands out there and I’m referring to the well known brands as well. I was impressed with the way it was packaged from the factory and by etrailer. The instructions were clear and it assembled easily. I took my time and probably completed it in under an hour. I didn’t think to take pics with the bikes on the rack but I wanted people with Jeep Wranglers to see how this looks. Notice that I also have a Yakima Back Swing on the Jeep as well. I’ve purchased things from etrailer in the past and can speak of the quality of the products they sell and of course the customer service.
Charles T - 10/16/2020Product was just as the etrailer rep presented when he recommended it. Arrived quickly, easy to assemble and load. We drove 1700 miles through 4 states (Ohio, W. Virginia, Virginia & N. Carolina) so we saw our fill of construction and rough roads. This includes interstate & local back roads in each state. The bikes are 2 cruisers old style. They never shifted or loosened. I did have to add foam on the ladies bike as the chain guard protruded enough to contact the brace. This is a bike design issue. The only scrape was the handle to tighten the hitch pin, try not to leave it hanging down. The large handle bars did limit access to the rear window, but the tilt function solved that. Pins got tight in the heat & ocean salt, light oil solved that. Very good product, service and guidance. I'll use this vendor again for other such need.
The Hollywood Sport Rider SE2 is exactly as described. The videos make it very easy to install. The only thing that is a struggle is releasing the hooks if they are pushed down snuggly, which is how they seem to be most effective. It is clearly indicated on the directions that they will be difficult to release if they are locked snuggly. Otherwise, thrilled with them.
Love the hitch and bike rack. Adjustable everything and extremely stable. No vibration and very little movement of bikes. Easy to install and remove. Rack is heavy for an average person to lift when removing but that's because its made of good quality steel. No rust, dinks, or scratches in over a year and I use it almost everyday (winter, spring, summer, and fall - weather permitting)! Yesterday I transported two bikes 140 miles (highways and byways) to a 16 miles trail - no problem. Excellent customer service - knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. Five stars all around.
First I want to thank the folks at etrailer for getting my changed order implemented quickly. I changed from the HR1455Z-E (80 lbs per bike) to the HR1450Z (50 lbs per bike). It also arrived early which helped.
The Hollywood rack is really heavy-duty and went together easily with the very good included instructions. It carries my Ebike and analog bike together very easily.
My big complaint is the length of the rack from my 2019 RAV4 causes it to scrape heavily on my driveway and other driveways, even without the bikes loaded. I’m still pondering what to do about it. I’m using it with the Curt hitch I also bought from etrailer.
I use this on a 2016 CRV. It folds back enough to open the tailgate. It is well made and sturdy. It should last a long time. It holds my 29er Mtn bike very securely. This rack comes with a hitch pin lock and a cable lock for the bike. Both locks heavy duty.
Steve J - 10/17/2017I have never used a trailer hitch before so this was all a new experience. The directions for assembly and use were easy to follow. The rack is a bit heavy, but very sturdy. We used it for the first time yesterday on a 50 mile trip down the highway. Nothing moves while you're driving and you really can't tell that its on the back of our little SUV, Honda CR-V. I am very pleased with this rack and feel that it will last a long time due to it's quality parts.
Mark - 09/16/2021Great Product from etrailer.com I am quite pleased with the quality of the product. It is was easy to assemble and install. We use it to carry 2 upper scale bikes and did not want to carry them in the bed of my pickup because we did not want to damage the bikes or truck bed. I have no problem loading the bikes by myself. Another plus is the locking hitch and also locking cable for bikes. So easy, safe, and secure makes this product is a great choice.
Haven't put rack together yet but very well packaged for shipping and materials seem to be top notch. Etrailer keep me in the loop on the delivery delays which I very much appreciated.
We really like it. It is solidly built and use it between two vehicles.
Darren - 01/11/2022This product met my expectations. It is extremely well engineered,high quality and very easy to assemble. I like the simple design and that it is very solid when attached to the car thanks to the 2" hitch. This was the one thing I was concerned most about but not any more it is a solid attachment. It is very easy to load bikes and lock down boys and girl frames no problem also like the way it folds up into a compact package which is easy to Cary and store. This will really make transporting our bikes from place to place a whole lot easier . If you are looking for a sturdy bike carrier this is the one to buy. Maybe a little pricey but once you get it installed and use it you will forget about what it cost.
Larry T - 04/18/2016Got this rack for transporting my e-bike. It holds it very securely. Have to remove the clamp adjusters so I can manhandle the beast onto the rack. Holds both my bikes perfectly. Have dealt with etrailer in the past and have always been pleased. Great service!

This bike rack is a 5 star rack. Very easy to put into the hitch. Tightens down so the rack has very little movement. Folds up very easy against the back of the car when the bikes are off the rack.
Was very easy to adjust the rack for a different temporary trike.
Gene M - 03/07/2018Owned my Hollywood bike rack for a year now and hands down this is one solid unit.--has many adjustments for small and large bicycles .---The easy on and off clamps are failsafe.---The fold-up locking pins are a cinch while folding the rack into a smaller footprint.---- The included bike and hitch locks are a real plus and the built in hitch clamp removes 100% of rack sway. This is very well engineered. Lots of thought put into design. No wobble. We have an ebike & regular bike. We take the battery off the ebike when we transport the bikes. The rack folds up against the SUV when not in use. Very happy with this rack.

The rack is straightforwardly engineered- there is no exotic workmanship or hardware to be found, which is fine by me, since replacement parts should be easy to find/make. Heavy and strong with a higher weight capacity than most. Highly adjustable to different bike sizes. Folds up pretty compactly considering its size. Included locking hitch pin and cable is nice. Anti-wobble mechanism works very well and is super easy to use.
ISSUES: tilt-down feature did not tilt bikes far enough away to be useful (on my '98 4Runner anyway). Directions could be better thought-out, illustrations were small and overly dark.
QUALITY CONTROL ISSUES:
1. the anti-wobble handle was installed facing the wrong way. Had to be re-intalled in order to function.
2. The anti-wobble "U" shaped bracket inside the hitch was oriented the wrong way. Had to be removed and re-oriented.
3. One of the pins did not have a tether (all the others do, which prevents you from losing them.)
The first 2 issues were easily fixed, and the 3rd I can figure out something, but come on, it's a $300 rack, inspect it already. Despite this, very happy with purchase.
We had shopped many of the well known brands of Bike racks and was able to use etrailer to view videos on each one of the products. We found this very helpful to actually see how it fit on the car and also how well it did or did not function in use.
We ended up choosing the Hollywood brand, a two bike model that has the ability to expand. It was important that it tipped and folded flat so we shopped for those qualities as well as durability. We live in Colorado, use the rack almost every weekend and have a variety of weather conditions. After 2 weeks we are very happy with our purchase. It is sturdy, fits my Jeep Grand Cherokee perfectly and is easy to fold and tilt. I am small in stature so being able to maneuver around the rack and load and unload the bikes was important for me. Great rack and met all our needs. Note to buyers, if you have a newer vehicle with the backup object detector, the buzzing when you back up can make you a little crazy.
Everything about this hitch is spot on, from the ease of sale to how it performs. I did a lot of research and I am glad I made this choice. Tks e trailer.
Good value for the money. It's held up well attached to my Subaru Outback - even while kept on my car during New England winters. I do have a bit of surface rust in some areas due to the salt on the roads, but I'd buy it again if I needed another rack.
I did a lot of research looking for the right bike rack that would hold
2 e bikes securely.
The bikes have fenders, so a lot of the other brands wouldn't work where the hook grabs the front tire.
This rack is great. Well built, solid and easily holds our 2 e bikes. Great features on the rack as well, tilt and no wobble, along with the locks and cable.
Instructions were good and an easy project to put the rack together.
Rack was shipped in a good protective box and arrived on time.
The rack is well built and functional. I have a 2" receiver but on a GMC 3500 is has an adapter for an even larger hitch tube. This rack came with anti-rattle bolt installed but far too short to go all the way through and pin on the far side of the hitch. The option for a longer bolt doesn't exist and the option would be to take out the anti-rattle bolt and drill the holes larger. Didn't want to do that on a new hitch so made and exchange for a Hollywood SE2 rack where I can use my locking hitch pin and their own style of universal anti-rattle.
Took about 30 minutes to assemble. Tested bikes on rack. Liked how firm they feel on rack. Good design. Very satisfied.
We ordered the Hollywood Rack Sport Rider SE2-2 Bike Platform rack with a 2 inch hitch from etrailer. The rack was delivered very quickly, much quicker than we'd anticipated.
