Finally, you no longer have to choose between carrying your bikes or your gear. This versatile rack combines a platform-style bike carrier with a cargo basket, giving you the ability to simultaneously transport 2 bikes and 100 lbs of gear with your 2" hitch. This means no more leaving that extra camping gear behind because you want to take your bikes along, and no more switching out your bike rack and cargo carrier for separate use.
Platform-Style Bike Rack
The Sport Rider SE consists of a 2-bike base unit and a removable 2-bike extension unit, allowing you to use the carrier as either a 2-bike rack with the cargo carrier or as a 4-bike stand-alone rack. The 2 pieces also make the rack easy to install because you can slide the base into your hitch and secure it before adding the extension. An anti-rattle system tightens the rack's shank to your hitch receiver to prevent it from rattling around inside the tube.
Locking, Ratcheting Hooks
The Sport Rider SE uses locking frame hooks to secure your bikes. The ratcheting, cushioned hooks easily adjust along the vertical mast and lock securely in place. The release buttons allow each hook to slide up the ratcheting arm for bike removal. The hooks function independently, which means you can position them to carry bikes of different heights.
Adjustable Wheel Hoops
The wheel hoops accommodate bicycles with wheelbases up to 60" by sliding along the horizontal arms. They are secured in place with easy-to-use hand knobs, and the Velcro-like hook-and-loop straps fasten the wheels to the hoops.
If you want to carry a fat bike on the Sport Rider SE, you can replace the rack's wheel hoops with specifically-designed fat bike cradles (sold separately).
Heavy-Duty Cargo Basket
The cargo basket measures 52" long x 15-1/2" wide x 6" tall, giving you plenty of space to haul camping gear or supplies. The raised side rails offer multiple tie-down points, and the included cargo net stretches over your gear to secure it in place.
The carrier can also function as a stand-alone cargo basket. Simply remove the bike rack and insert the basket into your vehicle's 2" hitch, using the included adapter. The cargo basket can carry up to 220 lbs of gear when used as a stand-alone.
Folding, Tilting Design
The rack tilts, with or without bikes loaded, for easy access to your vehicle's rear cargo area. Simply remove the pivot pin, pull the bottom quick-release spring pin, and lower the rack.
The rack also folds up against the back of your vehicle when it's not in use. To raise the rack, just pull the upper quick-release spring pin and lift.
Tool-Free Installation with Anti-Rattle System
The rack installs in your hitch without the need for tools. Simply slide the shank into your receiver until the welded stop plate contacts the hitch. The stop plate saves you from getting on your hands and knees to align the pin holes while inserting the hitch pin. Once the pin is in place, attach the lock pod. Lastly, use the integrated anti-wobble handle on the front of the shank to tighten the rack inside your hitch receiver and prevent it from rattling. A second lever secures the two-bike extension to the base of the rack.
Complete Security for Bikes and Rack
The Sport Rider comes with locks for both the rack and your bikes to deter theft. The lock cores in the frame hooks hold the bike down on the rack and prevent them from moving. Also, the lock pod attaches to the hitch pin to secure the rack to your vehicle. These locks are conveniently keyed alike. For extra protection, the 8' long security cable wraps through the bike frames, connects to the hitch pin, and is secured to the pin by the hitch lock. The extension cable can be added to the 8' cable to help secure 4 bikes to the rack.
Add-On Adapters
If you want to use the rack to transport a kid's bike with 16" or 18" wheels, wheel hoop adapters (sold separately) are available.
If you want to transport 1 recumbent delta trike or 1 recumbent tadpole-style trike with the Sport Rider SE, you can use the HRTRK-ADP adapter (sold separately). Or if you want to transport 1 standard bike and either 1 recumbent delta trike, 1 recumbent tadpole-style trike, or 1 adult trike, then you can use the HRTRK-ADP-2 adapter (sold separately).
Note: The trike adapters can only be used with the Sport Rider SE's two-bike base unit.

I have been extremely happy with this purchase. The rack is well built. Made of thick steel and not flimsy at all, which was a major issue with the rack I was replacing. I use it on a minivan and carry 3-4 bikes each time with no problems. I do take it off after each use as it would be in the way to just keep on the vehicle. It's quite heavy and not the easiest thing to align and slide in your receiver each time for install prior to a bike ride. If you have a second person available to assist I would recommend it. I believe I will get many great years of use from this bike rack.
The Hollywood racks are as advertized. Well designed for versatility but when assembled it is heavy. Good thing this system is designed in sections so it it easier to setup. I hang each section on my garage wall.
Wanted to provide some feed back after using my 4 bike hollywood rack/cargo carrier for awhile. Bike rack is great. I have been able to haul kids bikes along with ours. No criticism other than I would use something other than hook loop system for tires, but it works. I have only recently tried to use the cargo carrier. A little disappointed. The way it is shaped really limits what I can put on it. Why do they not make them a standard rectangle? I can't fit a cooler, tote, or even my equipment bag because of the narrow 12 inch center section. I can't find a tote that will even fit in the 15"x17" sides. Cargo carrier is currently useless. If I could do it again I would have only bought the 4 bike rack. I know it will not make any difference but I like to express myself at times. Have a great day and put in a good word to the Hollywood engineers on their next cargo design. :)

Puts the rear end out there but provides awesome storage and carrying ability. Could buy from several sites on the web. CarrieAnne is the main reason I bought from etrailer. Excellent product knowledge awesome attitude and she did exactly what she said she would do and it arrived when she promised. I assumed Amazon Prime was always best but a very competitive price and personal attention as well as the personal assurance of it was what I needed was the clincher.

Well I had to think about this one before I bought it because of the price but it looked to be the only one that would work for us (my bike has a long wheelbase). And the folks ar etrailer have never sent anything that was not quality. I was not disappointed. The product description tells you all about the bike rack and I can tell that it is heavy duty and VERY well made. If you only occasionally haul lightweight bikes around you may want to consider something less expensive but if you do serious bike hauling over rough roads this rack is well worth the money. The rack folds up out of the way in seconds and folds down to give access to the back hatch on an SUV. It took about forty five minutes to put together but if you lay all the parts out and have the right tools at hand like you’re supposed to it should take less than twenty. Having put it together once I think I could do it in less than ten minutes. You will need a 3/4” and a 17mm wrench and a philips screw driver. In short, this is an extremely well made, quality bike rack that is well worth the money. As always, I am happy with the folks at etrailer.
Awesome rack system. I can hold all 4 bikes (an Electra cruiser, two commuter bikes and a 29er MTB bike) and it does so quietly, stably, and securely. It clears my driveway apon both out and in without a scrape.

Unbelievable the way it tightens down to hitch. Bike racks are both great quality. I’d suggest this product to anyone that needs to haul bikes especially those with 2 inch hitch and rv

This is honestly the best bang for your buck! The rack is really solid, the anti-rattle system really works and the fat bike option is a car saver! The bike rack was very easy to put together. The cargo carrier fought back a bit when putting it together but it is really sturdy. We purchased this primarily for out fat bikes and to have extra space outside our Crosstrek. Cant wait to take the bikes out later, get them all dirty and NOT have to put the muddy front tires in the car!

I am very pleased with this rack. As you see in the picture I only assembled the 2 bike option. We bought the 4 bike option to be able to carry the grandkid's bikes when needed. This rack easily accomodated my Surly Big Dummy (60" wheelbase) and my wife's Xtracycle RFA electric bike. The only drawback is that it is a little bit clumsy to get the back bicycle onto the rack. Hopefully I will get the hang of it. The Rack is extremely stable. The hitch tightner works fabulous!

THIS RACK SAVED OUR e-BIKES FROM GETTING STOLEN! The would-be thieves cut the cable that I used to secure the bikes together but they couldn't release the locking hooks on the bike rack to be able to remove the bikes. The straps holding the wheels to the brackets were cut, but they really aren't necessary for holding the bikes on the rack anyway. This rack is so simple to use and has performed flawlessly every time. We've used it on quite a few trips, one of them was over 5800 miles in 3 weeks! 100% worth the price!

Great bike rack , exactly what I was looking for to carry an e bike and a regular mountain bike behind my RV , the tightening feature on the hitch is simple but great , no rattle ! Easy to assemble and adjustments make it very easy for any bike , The locks for the hitch pin and bikes are a great addition . Well worth the money , Quality product .

Just received my rack and assembled it. I had a small issue with the bolt of the second rack but got it through eventually with a little hammering. Loaded all four bikes on the rack today and took it for a test drive. Very strong and steady. It looks really nice and so far I like it.
