this unit fit right back in place of the old one, with the exception that there was a head scratcher til I figured out the difference in the wiring, but overall a great unit 831257

I have not had the chance to install the water heater yet but dealing with Etrailer has been excellent as usual. Their prices are always competitive and the selection of products that are available thru them is great. Their customer support is excellent. 820507

Price of my water heater on your website with your business was extremely reasonable compared to others. It was delivered on time in good condition I have not installed it yet but plan on doing so in the near future. It was a pleasure doing business with your company. I plan on ordering more parts if I need in the future from you as I am a full-time rver and have been for 13 years. 785193

Direct replacement for my Atwood 10 gal. Arrived ahead of shipping schedule and was fairly easy to install (slightly complicated by my by-pass valve and no access from the rear of the unit in my RV). Couldn't be happier with the e-trailer transaction. Nice to have a fully functioning water heater again. The package included remote switches and the exterior cover door. 749208

The people at etrailer are great and are very helpful. The water heater came in quickly and was a direct replacement. It seems to be working good. The only negative is that it said it comes with a new outer door but was not in the box. I didn’t call them back because I was planning on using my old door due to the paint color. That is the only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars 686697

While staying in Las Vegas our 18 year old water heater failed. I usually do this type of repair or replacement myself. The Atwood model we have was no longer available. I called Dometic for a replacement part number and actually received some incorrect information. Decided to go to Tucson where I have a workshop and other accommodations and take my time replacing the water heater as the controls on the replacement are different and there was some water damage done to the coach. Priced the water heater in Tucson and E-Trailer beat the best price by around $300. Got it at E-trailer free shipping no tax. Talked to Troy at E-trailer several times with some questions about mounting and size, he was very helpful. I ordered it on a Saturday and he made sure it was shipped first thing Monday Morning, He quoted delivery on Thursday and I received it on Thursday. He emailed me when he go delivery conformation and followed up later to see if I was satisfied. Installation took a bit longer than normal as I had some water damage to repair and the controls are different. The water heater came with a new switch panel but I wanted to incorporate our existing controls. I would use E-Trailer in the future and I was very satisfied with service provided by Troy 471938

  • Replacement 10 Gallon Water Heater for Model G10B
The G10B is an older 10 gallon unit, as you mentioned, and to replace it I recommend the Atwood RV Water Heater # AT94022. This water heater uses an automatic gas pilot with an electric heating element to produce up to 20 gallons of hot water per hour and is thermostatically controlled. It measures 16" tall x 15-1/2" wide x 20-7/8" deep and is made in the USA.

  • Direct Replacement Water Heater for Atwood Model GC10A-4E
To replace your Atwood RV Water Heater, Model #GC10A-4E, the direct replacement is the Atwood RV Water Heater - Gas and Electric - part # AT94022. This is the new version of your existing water heater, so it will have all the same features like a 10-gallon capacity, automatic pilot with electronic ignition and 10,000 BTU. The Atwood RV Water Heater # AT94023, shares all the same features mentioned above, but with an additional perk. It has an engine heat exchanger which actually heats...

  • Replacing Water Heater Element on Atwood GC10A-4E Water Heater
The heating element on your Atwood model GC10A-4E water heater (our part # AT94022) should be on the backside of the unit, towards the bottom of the tank. It will actually be behind the gas line assembly, which will need to be loosened and moved out of the way to gain access to the existing element so it can be removed or replaced. I have attached an image to assist. If you need a replacement heating element you can use the Camco # CAM02143.

  • Atwood RV Water Heater with Electric Operation That Matches 12-1/2 x 16 x 18 Dimensions
We do have Atwood RV water heaters in both gas-only and gas/AC-electric types but we do not have an electric-only water heater. The standard gas/AC-electric unit that matches your 12-1/2 x 16 x 18 dimensions is the 6-gallon # AT96117. Model # AT96163 is similar but also includes a heat exchanger. If you want to operate one of these water heaters with only 120-volt AC electric power that is certainly possible.

  • What Is Most Likely Causing Atwood Water Heater # AT94022 to Produce only Luke Warm Water
The Atwood RV Water Heater # AT94022 is a gas and electric. It's primarily gas for providing heat but the electric portion does help. If you are experiencing just luke warm water your issue would be related to the gas portion. I'd recommend having a local tech with experience working on water heaters check out your setup to determine what the issue is.

  • Replacement for Atwood Model GC10-1E Water Heater
I reached out to my contact at Atwood/Dometic and she said that the closest option available to replace your GC10-1E model water heater is the Atwood RV Water Heater # AT94022. Like your existing unit, this is a gas/electric heater that features a 10 gallon capacity tank. I asked my contact about the ease of this particular swap and she said it's really going to be pretty close to a direct replacement in terms of installation. There may be two additional wires that need to be connected...

The closest replacement we have for the Atwood RV Water Heater GE16-EXT is the Atwood RV Water Heater w/ Heat Exchange GCH10A-4E part # AT94023 that we offer. The GCH10A-4E has both gas and electric features just like the GE16-EXT as well as a 10 gallon capacity. However your GE16-EXT has a valve to mix in cool water so that that the 10 gallon capacity is more like 16 gallons. • What is Advantage of Electric Plus Gas RV Water Heater Over Just Gas
The Atwood water heater part # AT94022 is a great option for you as it has an electric element that helps heat the water as well as a gas heating element. The electric element allows the water to heat up a bit quicker so it is a nice option that allows this to produce up to 20 gallons of hot water per hour. Strictly gas water heaters like the part # AT94191 that has the same 10 gallon tank can produce up to 13-1/2 gallons of hot water per hour.

  • Replacement Water Heater for Atwood GC10A-3E
A lot of the older Atwood water heaters have been discontinued, yes. For your replacement I recommend the Atwood RV Water Heater # AT94022 which is a 10 gallon gas/electric unit like you currently have with an automatic pilot. This uses 120V power and comes with the switch panel to operate it. Attached is a review video for you to check out.

This unit can produce a sizable 20 gallons of hot water per hour, is made in the USA and comes with a 2-year warranty. As a note, I did want to mention we do recommend always having a qualified professional install a water heater.

  • What are Reasons DSI Light is on Atwood RV Water Heater
The DSI fault light of your Atwood water heater # AT94022 only comes on for two reasons. One being the water heater has attempted to ignite and failed, while the second reason is that the ECO has become an open circuit. Now the ECO is the Energy CutOff switch which is what stops the heater from continuing to heat water once 190 degrees has been reached. Since your heater is seemingly still working this would be the scenario I would think you are experiencing. Based on that I would recommend...

This unit is rated to provide 20-gallons of hot water per hour. It also has a high-temperature limit switch that automatically shuts the unit off to prevent overheating. • Fuse Blows when Switch is Turned on for Atwood GC10A-4E Water Heater
Check for any places where the wiring or the switch on your Atwood Water Heater GC10-A-4E (same as part # AT94022) is damaged. Since a blown fuse means excessive power draw this means that there is a short somewhere whether it is on the wiring or the switch. Please note that the installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency, or gas supplier so it would be better to have someone certified do the troubleshooting.
