If you're replacing an old tank or tankless water heater, you'll want to pick a water heater with a door that will at least be as large as the current access door on your RV. Be sure to search for the water heater that includes the correct size you need.

Fogatti's tankless hot water heaters are popular for being efficient and quality options, but which model would be best for you? Let me give you a quick summary:
Fogatti 7: Lower Btus and lower flow rate compared to the 8s. This can be a good pick, though, because that means you're using less propane to heat water. If you aren't trying to heat very cold water, and you don't expect that anyone else is going to be using hot water while you're in the shower, then this will be a perfectly fine option, especially if you use low-flow fixtures for conserving water. I'd recommend it for solo campers or couples who almost never camp in cold months.
Fogatti 8 Plus: Higher Btus and flow rate while being the same size as the 7. You'll get slightly better performance, and it will be more effective at heating colder water. The extra flow rate won't necessarily allow you to run both a faucet and a shower at the same time without noticing a difference, since both fixtures can use 2.5 gallons per minute. But if you have a higher-flow shower head, this can keep up better. I'd recommend it if you're likely to camp when it gets chilly overnight and want a little extra performance.
Fogatti 8 Pro: This is the same as the 8 Plus, with the addition of a water mixing tank. This tank adds a few more inches to its depth, but that generally won't be much of an issue, especially if you're replacing a water heater with a tank. I'd recommend it if any variance in water temperature is going to really annoy you.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Fogatti InstaShower 8 Plus RV Tankless Water Heater with this white metal hinged door. Now, if you're wondering about the differences between the InstaShower 7, the 8 Plus that we have here, and the 8 Pro, take a closer look at this product page near the lower half of this page, and we have provided for you some really excellent summaries on each of those water heaters so you can take a look and decide which one is going to work best for your particular application. But as for this 8 Plus, this tankless water heater has higher BTUs for more effectively heating cold water. This 55,000-BTU heater is going to heat 2.9 gallons of water per minute, which is greater than the average water flow of an RV shower.
This larger size white hinged door with this flat lock is going to give you easy access for cleaning or maintenance. And as you can see, you're just gonna flip this flat lock up, rotate it, and that's going to allow you to easily open this and take a look on the inside and then clean it or do any maintenance that you are needing to do. Now, this door is sized for replacing a 10- or 16-gallon tank water heater with a 18-by-18-inch access door. And on your screen, I'm including a chart there just showing you the different sizes of doors that can work with this particular water heater. So, for instance, if you prefer a black door, we do have that available there, or if you're looking for smaller sizes, we have those options available too.
So if you're looking for either a different color or a different size, you can just take the Etrailer part number that you see there on your screen, pop it in the search field of our website, and that will take you to that kit that's going to work best for you. Now, the efficient propane burner is going to heat water only when you use your faucets or shower. And the higher BTUs is gonna make this a great choice in cold weather or if we're using a lot of hot water at once. The pilot ignition type is automatic. And this does also feature a water, a wall controller, rather, with a digital display that's going to let you adjust temperature and show diagnostic error codes.
The temperature settings is from 95 degrees to 123 degrees Fahrenheit. The water pressure is 14.5 to 116 PSI. The preferred pressure is 40 to 45 PSI. The internal safety components are gonna protect you, your family, and your RV. For instance, this is going to automatically cut off gas if the flame goes out to prevent leaks in your RV.
So looking at the overall dimensions, our door size is 18 inches wide by 18 inches tall. And then looking at the dimensions of just the water heater itself, it's gonna be 13 inches wide, 13 inches tall. And then looking at the overall depth when you're not including the door, just the water heater itself, it's gonna be 13-13/16 inches deep. Including the door is gonna be 14-5/16 inches deep. So this is going to be a pretty simple installation with the included hardware. It's gonna use your existing lines and cutout. I do wanna point out that a temperature and pressure relief valve are not included with this. That is required for installation, so you'd have to pick that up separately, and you would need additional cutout depth to make those connections. This does include an instruction manual to guide you through the installation and operation process. And I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that our brief time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
