Video Transcript for Valterra RV Waste Valve Review

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra Rotating Heel Inlet Waste Valve. This waste valve fitting allows you to connect both your black water piping and grey water piping to one outlet. The valve, or gate, controls just the larger piping, which is going to be 3-inch for the black water side. The unit's made from a durable ABS plastic construction. It's going to feature a 3-inch Bladex valve. This connection point, right here, is a 2-inch hub, so a pipe would actually slip or fit into that fitting, and then this connection point is a 3-inch spigot which would fit into a 3-inch hub fitting. The unit's going to come with all the appropriate seals already installed to insure leak-proof performance. There's going to be a few seals, here, in the actual Bladex valve.

Then, in the cap itself, for the main outlet portion, there's going to be a seal in there, as well. Again, it comes with the appropriate seals for leak-proof performance. They're already pre-installed. I do want to mention that the valve is designed to rotate. That way the handle can be positioned in a position that works best for your application. You can really adjust that to whatever is going to work best for your application.

Really nice design. It'll rotate all the way around for easy positioning. This area, right here, is going to accept standard 3-inch bayonet-style fittings with either a 4-hook or 2-hook design. You can see that this is a 3-inch bayonet hub fitting that has a 4-pin design. The cap is tethered. That way, you don't have to worry about misplacing that or losing it. The valve is very easy to operate.

It's got a nice large T-handle, there. It allows you to easily open and close the unit. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra Rotating Heel Inlet Waste Valve.
