Pull Cable for Easy Dumping

This cable-actuated RV waste tank valve has a 48" long cable, allowing you to easily open and close the valve even when it is positioned in a hard-to-reach location. Simply install the valve between your RV's sewer pipes and mount the handle on the end of the cable in a convenient, easy-to-access place.

Pulling Valve Cable and Black Handle

When you're ready to dump your black-water tank, just pull the handle to open the valve. And when you're finished dumping, just push the handle back in to close the valve. No need to crawl under your RV to access the valve itself.

Replacing Your RV Waste Valve

Before getting started on the installation, you'll want to empty your RV's black-water tank and flush out the sewer pipes. This will help to ensure that your working environment is as clean as possible.

This waste valve is designed to replace your existing valve, which should have a hub end and a spigot end. After removing the old valve and flanges, lightly coat the outside of the new valve's spigot and the inside of its hub with ABS solvent cement (sold separately). Do the same with the open ends of your RV's sewer pipe. Then, insert the smaller spigot end of the valve into your 3" pipe, and slide the larger hub end over the pipe on the opposite side.

This waste vavle is not RV specific and will work with any 3 inch pipe connected to the black-water tank.

Exact valve to original should make it easy to replace

by:

The waste valve was an exact fit and works perfectly. The problem is the cable length which does not match the install directions which state: for best results the cable should lie in a direct route from the valve to the pull handle. Do not loop the cable as premature failure can occur. Guess what, the company does not offer a unit with a cable short enough to fit as directed so my install is doomed as was the factory install.

by:

Perfect fit

by:

I had to replace the factory parts on my Grand Design because they never worked correctly. I had them “fixed under warranty several times only to be disappointed again and again. The Bristol valves have worked without a hitch. As a full time RV’er that is important. I wish the rest of the RV worked as well as the replacement dump valves.

by:

Easy replacement, once the old one was removed. I reused the old flange, so direct boltup. Not too tight on the 4 screws and I was good to go. The cable actuator is smooth and sturdy. Well satisfied.

by:

Worked well for the application and haven't had any problems with it.

by:

I replaced my Valterra black water waste valve with this. Bolted right up, no problems.

After not even a year, the handle fell off. This is unfortunate as we haven't even gone on gravel roads.

  • Will the Bolt Pattern on My Black Water Wastve Valve Matter When Choosing a Replacement
Typically it's not going to matter since the bolts are just used to hold the valve body together, so the bolts holding your current waste valve together won't matter. If you waned to use the LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve for Black Water Tank - Spigot to Hub - 48" Cable # 34466N4AB48GMA you'd just want to cut off your old waste valve and slide the LaSalle on; you'd want to secure it with some ABS Solvent # 3447530889, but going this direction it wouldn't matter what your...

  • Recommended Black Tank Waste Valve Replacement For Tight Areas
Since the placement of the blank waste valve handle makes it hard to operate I recommend switching out the valve with a cable actuated valve that will allow you to place the handle exactly where you need it. The LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve for Black Water Tank # 34466N4AB36GM comes with a 36" cable that will allow you to easily activate your valve without having to fight the tire. The valve can easily be removed from the fittings by removing the four bolts through it...

  • Replacement Cable-Actuated Waste Valve Options For A 2012 Keystone Montana
I don't know the length of the cable used for valves on your Montana so you'll want to measure the length to determine the correct replacement. To make the swap out easy I recommend just unbolting the old valve from the system and then swap in the new valve (without the flanges it comes with). This will make it a much faster swap out and prevent you from having to cut or glue any pipes. I've listed the sizes we currently offer below by cable length: Black 36" # 34466N4AB36GM 48" # 34466N4AB48GMA 72"...

  • Troubleshooting A Black Water Tank Valve That's Hard To Open And Close
You can lubricate the valve by dumping some vegetable oil in and working the valve open and closed. If you can take off your valve without it being a huge hassle or have your valve is right at the opening I recommend using some water resistant silicone lubricant WD40 spray. If this doesn't solve your issue and you decide to replace your valve we offer a wide variety of valves like the Valterra Bladex Waste Valve for RV Black Water Tank - 3" Hub to 3" Spigot Item # T40 or valves that come...

  • Is There a Replacement 48" Cable for LaSalle Bristol Waste Valve
I checked with LaSalle Bristol and they don't offer just the replacement cable. If the cable is broke you will need to replace the entire waste valve for which we offer part # 34466N4AB48GMA for black water or part # 34466N11AB48GMA for gray water. If you don't want to mess with fitting new pipes you can just un-bolt the valve from the flange and slide the new one in once the old is out.
