Site could use one or two filters to help customers decide which unit to purchase. There is a large number to browse through. Purchase was easy. Unit properly described, shipping boxes were well packed. Unit installed easily, due to etrailer's how to install video. Happy with purchase and easy of installation. Will buy from etrailer again. Thank you. 716294

Great fan for the price. Installation was easy. You will spend time removing the old dicor on the roof if you are replacing a fan like we did but it was worth it. 553408

Quick ship. Install in my 66 Airstream was a breeze. I put 1 in front and 1 in back to circulate air, which the originals just couldn't do very well. 556851

Purchased to install in fifth wheel bedroom, where no fan existed, just a roof vent. Most time consuming was removing the old vent. The caulking removal was a real labor intensive operation. The factory must have used a fire hose to apply the stuff. Once the vent removed and the caulking mostly removed, the install of the maxxair went pretty smooth. Putty tape (purchased from local shop) under the rim, several stainless screws (15), came with fan, then finish roof top install with self leveling caulk around rim and on screw heads. Inside had to tie into 12v wiring at bathroom fan and fish wires to bedroom vent hole, less than 4 feet. Made connections, put on interior trim, and now wait for next RV outing to test efficiency. Works great in driveway. And one more thing, I also installed a Maxxair II vent cover in black. Helps to darken bedroom along with protecting vent. 279793

It's been a year since we installed our first Maxxfan Deluxe Vent W/ 12v Fan - Manual - 10 Speed - White.... 1) It wasn't too difficult to remove the old fan and install the new one. Took a little patience with the first install, but by the third (we have three fans) it was a piece of cake. Don't forget to use Decor to ensure everything is sealed properly. 2) These fans are very powerful. The one in my bathroom will actually suck the door shut. When we set the one the living area to blow air in and the one in the bedroom to blow air out, air really moves and cools down the rv fast. 3) They are way more quiet compared to my old original fans. Only when I have them on the highest setting to I notice they are on. 4) The built in rain vent is very useful given that if it is raining the only air we get is through the fan vents as all the windows must be closed. 4) My only disappointment has been with the way the fan blades are designed, the air moves more sideways near the ceiling (which is good as hot air rises) but when it is really hot and I'm lying in bed I would like the air to blow downwards so I can feel it. 558588

I love these fans. When I bought a caravan I removed the fantastic fan for one of these because it can be left open when it rains....I rarely ever closed it just so I had airflow in the caravan. Now I have a van, installed it for the same reason. Expensive, but worth it in the long run. I wish they offered a non translucent top model. 662099

They still work but 2 out of the 3 fans squeak at low speed.. which I feel is a little premature for only being a year old. When really they started squeaking at 6months. All in all they do a great job of exchanging the air in our rig.. 719771

My backyard Tuff Shed workshop has a turbine vent fan, which really doesn't work all that well. Over the years I've tried various powered fans, but have never been satisfied with the results. Now that it needs a roof, I was thinking about a solar roof fan. Since I have a 400 watt, 12 volt solar system for security lighting, I realized I could use a fan similar to the one in my RV. The installation was very easy, and the quality of the fan is excellent. Not having to worry about closing the lid for rain is great, and the automatic thermostat is a wonderful set and forget feature. I'm especially impressed how quiet it is. 547600

Nice product, very impressed with it’s design, construction, functions, quality and ease of operations. It looks great on my Transit van. Being it’s a medium height roof I don’t want it to be any higher than it has to be. The low profile is nice. The height of van with Maxxfan open is 9 ft. 4 in. The etrailer installation video on the Transit was very helpful. I made a frame just as described on the video. Using the 2 x 2 ft. piece of 3/4 inch plywood to make the frame is the way to go. It provides the strength I needed due to the weight of my solar panel bracket just 3 inches away. The two screws you see near the edge of the frame is the solar panel bracket. A constructed picture frame style frame would never support the weight. It is a strong solid frame. The roof is solid. 634921

We ordered and DIY-installed two of these MaxxAir fans to replace ineffective and aging vent fans in our 5th wheel RV. Installation was straightforward using the easy-to-understand instructions. All the necessary hardware is included, although you'll need some butyl tape and self-leveling sealant to complete the installation on the rooftop. We love the ease of operation, the relatively quiet 10-speed fan, and the ability to use the fan even during a rain. The mounting bracket that fits the 14" roof opening is a one-time install, meaning that you don't have to tear into the roof and sealant again should you ever need to replace the fan and cover unit with the same or similar model. I agree with all the other positive reviews I've read about this product. 680545

Not really happy with this product. Expensive fan that will not run for three minutes without turning itself off. Called the mfg , they said bad board they sent a replacement board , worked great for a week now it is back to turning itself off again!!! Not etrailers fault , just a sorry & expensive piece of junk. Wish i had bought the fantastic fan instead. How hard is it to build a 12 volt fan???? 552948
