Manual lift roof vent with LED light removes unwanted hot air and moisture from your RV's kitchen or bathroom. The fan circulates air like a ceiling fan when your vent is closed. Integrated rain shield lets you open your vent in any weather.

Specs:
The LED light acts as a convenient night light or accent light. Whether installed on your ceiling or sidewall, the light will assist in leading you to the restroom in the middle of the night or into the kitchen for a midnight snack.
The built-in rain shield surrounds the vent opening so that you can use it in rain or shine. The shield blocks rainwater and other debris from entering through the vent and damaging the interior of your RV or camper. It also eliminates the need to install a separate vent cover.
The fan guard protects your fan from water and debris when mounted on the side of your RV. The guard slides over your vent with the solid end facing up to block rainwater and allow run-off, while the slotted end faces down to allow ventilation. The fan guard also gives you peace of mind with small children around, as it provides the ultimate protection against accidental contact with fan blades.
The push-button handle lets you open and close the lid of your vent with ease - no hand-cranking needed. Simply push the button and push up to open the lid, or pull down to close the lid. Releasing the button automatically locks the lid in place. When the lid is closed, it provides a seamless, low-profile appearance.

Today we're going to take a look at the MaxxFan six inch diameter dome plus roof vent with a 12 volt fan and the LED lighting. Now this roof vent with the fan, you can control ventilation and moisture in small areas inside your RV or camper. This is perfect size for bathroom showers, and it is designed for you to rooftop or sidewall applications. This does include everything shown here on the table, the MaxxFan dome, the LED trim ring, six inch extension sleeve, and the fan guard. Now this is a six inch exhaust only fan, has a manual lift lid, the little lock and unlock with a single hand push button right here, so when you go to open it, you just push in and it'll lift it up, and then your fans right in there, and then when you go to close it, just push the button and pull it down. Very easy to open or close. It does offer removable screens for easy cleaning, and what's nice is on the inside when you install this, this would be your interior trim ring, that once this is installed will go around it.
It offers you a nice stylish LED lighting on this interior trim ring, allows you to operate your vent in the dark. At the end of this video I'm going to hook the LED ring up to some power to show you how bright it is and then we're going to hook the fan up to show you the fan operating. Now it does come with this matching fan guard, and that's used for sidewall applications. The reason they do that, is when this comes through at the side, you can put this fan guard on there and that'll actually prevent any weather, from debris from getting into your fan. But it also protects from any accidental contact with the fan blades, because you can see when you open this, those blades are right in there, so you don't want anybody touching those.Few specs on this, it's again designed to fit roofs or walls with a minimum thickness of one inch up to a maximum thickness of six inches. Now it does include this extension sleeve if your roof or wall is thicker than one inch.
If it's four inches thick, you'll just measure off, cut it off, and use this as an extension that would go between your fan and your ring there. Now this is designed to fit into a six and one quarter inch diameter opening. The voltage on this is 12 volts. Comes with a nice set of detailed instructions on how to install it, how it operates. It comes with the mounting screws to install it.What we're going to do now is go ahead and hook this up to some 12 volt power.
We'll go ahead and hook our white wire up to their ground, and then we'll hook our black wire up to our power. Then we'll go ahead and turn on our power. You can hear the fan operating. Let me go ahead and push this to open it. And the fans blowing in there.
There is an on and off button right here. If you push it, that'll click it off. If you push it again, then the fan starts up, really moves the air. You can see it blowing, really moves a lot of air. Going to go ahead and turn that back off.Now what I'm going to do is move this over to our light. Make sure we get our connections right. 12 volt powered at a black, white is our ground. That also has a push button just like the fan does. You can see when you push the ring, the light will come on. Go ahead and turn off the overhead light, you can see it's a very bright LED light. Again, that'll be on the inside underneath the fan. Push it for off, push it again for on. Turn back on our overhead lights. Turn off our power. But that should do it for the review on the Maxxfan six inch diameter dome plus roof vent with the 12 volt fan and the LED lighting.

Great fan for the price. Installation was easy. You will spend time removing the old dicor on the roof if you are replacing a fan like we did but it was worth it. 553408

Quick ship. Install in my 66 Airstream was a breeze. I put 1 in front and 1 in back to circulate air, which the originals just couldn't do very well. 556851

Purchased to install in fifth wheel bedroom, where no fan existed, just a roof vent. Most time consuming was removing the old vent. The caulking removal was a real labor intensive operation. The factory must have used a fire hose to apply the stuff. Once the vent removed and the caulking mostly removed, the install of the maxxair went pretty smooth. Putty tape (purchased from local shop) under the rim, several stainless screws (15), came with fan, then finish roof top install with self leveling caulk around rim and on screw heads. Inside had to tie into 12v wiring at bathroom fan and fish wires to bedroom vent hole, less than 4 feet. Made connections, put on interior trim, and now wait for next RV outing to test efficiency. Works great in driveway. And one more thing, I also installed a Maxxair II vent cover in black. Helps to darken bedroom along with protecting vent. 279793

It's been a year since we installed our first Maxxfan Deluxe Vent W/ 12v Fan - Manual - 10 Speed - White.... 1) It wasn't too difficult to remove the old fan and install the new one. Took a little patience with the first install, but by the third (we have three fans) it was a piece of cake. Don't forget to use Decor to ensure everything is sealed properly. 2) These fans are very powerful. The one in my bathroom will actually suck the door shut. When we set the one the living area to blow air in and the one in the bedroom to blow air out, air really moves and cools down the rv fast. 3) They are way more quiet compared to my old original fans. Only when I have them on the highest setting to I notice they are on. 4) The built in rain vent is very useful given that if it is raining the only air we get is through the fan vents as all the windows must be closed. 4) My only disappointment has been with the way the fan blades are designed, the air moves more sideways near the ceiling (which is good as hot air rises) but when it is really hot and I'm lying in bed I would like the air to blow downwards so I can feel it. 558588

I love these fans. When I bought a caravan I removed the fantastic fan for one of these because it can be left open when it rains....I rarely ever closed it just so I had airflow in the caravan. Now I have a van, installed it for the same reason. Expensive, but worth it in the long run. I wish they offered a non translucent top model. 662099

They still work but 2 out of the 3 fans squeak at low speed.. which I feel is a little premature for only being a year old. When really they started squeaking at 6months. All in all they do a great job of exchanging the air in our rig.. 719771

Review from a similar MaxxFan in RV Vents and Fans
My backyard Tuff Shed workshop has a turbine vent fan, which really doesn't work all that well. Over the years I've tried various powered fans, but have never been satisfied with the results. Now that it needs a roof, I was thinking about a solar roof fan. Since I have a 400 watt, 12 volt solar system for security lighting, I realized I could use a fan similar to the one in my RV. The installation was very easy, and the quality of the fan is excellent. Not having to worry about closing the lid for rain is great, and the automatic thermostat is a wonderful set and forget feature. I'm especially impressed how quiet it is. 547600

Nice product, very impressed with it’s design, construction, functions, quality and ease of operations. It looks great on my Transit van. Being it’s a medium height roof I don’t want it to be any higher than it has to be. The low profile is nice. The height of van with Maxxfan open is 9 ft. 4 in. The etrailer installation video on the Transit was very helpful. I made a frame just as described on the video. Using the 2 x 2 ft. piece of 3/4 inch plywood to make the frame is the way to go. It provides the strength I needed due to the weight of my solar panel bracket just 3 inches away. The two screws you see near the edge of the frame is the solar panel bracket. A constructed picture frame style frame would never support the weight. It is a strong solid frame. The roof is solid. 634921

We ordered and DIY-installed two of these MaxxAir fans to replace ineffective and aging vent fans in our 5th wheel RV. Installation was straightforward using the easy-to-understand instructions. All the necessary hardware is included, although you'll need some butyl tape and self-leveling sealant to complete the installation on the rooftop. We love the ease of operation, the relatively quiet 10-speed fan, and the ability to use the fan even during a rain. The mounting bracket that fits the 14" roof opening is a one-time install, meaning that you don't have to tear into the roof and sealant again should you ever need to replace the fan and cover unit with the same or similar model. I agree with all the other positive reviews I've read about this product. 680545

Not really happy with this product. Expensive fan that will not run for three minutes without turning itself off. Called the mfg , they said bad board they sent a replacement board , worked great for a week now it is back to turning itself off again!!! Not etrailers fault , just a sorry & expensive piece of junk. Wish i had bought the fantastic fan instead. How hard is it to build a 12 volt fan???? 552948
