Built-In Rain Shield

MaxxFan Deluxe Rain Shield

The MaxxFan Deluxe has a built-in rain shield that, along with the dome, surrounds and encloses the vent opening. The shield blocks rainwater and other precipitation from entering through the vent and damaging the interior of your RV or trailer. This means you can run the fan during any weather without having to worry about the consequences. With the rain shield, there is also no need to install a separate vent cover.

The smoke dome on the rain shield is constructed of durable high-density polypropylene. When it's closed, the dome provides a seamless, low-profile appearance.

Reversible, Variable-Speed Fan with Thermostat

MaxxFan Deluxe Fan Motor

The 12-volt, variable-speed fan has 2 modes of operation: manual and auto. When the fan is in manual mode, you can choose from 10 different speeds to increase or reduce the airflow as needed. Auto mode works in conjunction with the fan's thermostat.

To enter auto mode, press the auto mode button on either the remote control or keypad. Once the fan is in auto mode, the thermostat is activated with a set temperature of 78 degrees F. Pressing the arrow keys on either the remote or keypad changes the set temperature in 1 degree increments. When the thermostat is set, it senses the room temperature and automatically turns the fan on if it is above the set temperature. The fan shuts off when the set temperature has been reached. If the room temperature rises, the fan turns on again. This keeps your RV cool and comfortable and saves you from having to adjust the fan by hand. The auto mode also saves energy by running the fan no more than necessary, especially while you're away or asleep.

This fan is reversible, which means you are able to both exhaust stale air out of your RV and bring fresh air in from the outside. To enter ceiling fan mode, close the vent while the fan is still running. The fan then circulates the air inside your RV like a ceiling fan.

The fan has a fuse-protected, ball bearing motor that is sealed to keep out dust, dirt, and moisture.

Flush-Mounted Keypad

Keypad for MaxxFan Deluxe

The flush-mounted keypad on the vent enables you to operate the vent and fan from afar, including turning the fan on or off. You can also control the fan speed, the direction of the airflow, and the set temperature for the thermostat.

Manual-Lift Dome with Twin Arms

MaxxFan Deluxe Open

The dome on this roof vent is constructed of durable high-density polyethylene, and it is translucent so that some natural light can shine through. When it's closed, the dome provides a seamless, low-profile appearance that blends into the roof of your RV.

Unlike a dome that has only 1 arm, this manual-lift dome is supported by 2 sturdy arms so that it will not flutter during high winds or while you are driving.

MaxxFan Plus Manual Knob

And a manual hand knob is built into the underside of the vent to allow you to open and close the dome. Pull the knob outward, turn it to where you want it, and push it in to lock the dome into place.

Removable Bug Screen

MaxxFan Deluxe Bug Screen

This vent has a bug screen that helps keep insects and debris out of your RV. It is secured to the vent with 4 built-in retainer clips. These clips make it easy to remove the screen for cleaning or maintenance. Just rotate the clips, and the screen will pop out.

The MaxxFan Deluxe vent fits standard 14" x 14" openings in the roof of an RV, camper, or enclosed trailer. A white interior trim piece (or garnish), insulated electrical connectors, and hardware are included for installation. The included mounting flange is lined with a rubber weather seal, which helps prevent leaks. Roof sealant (sold separately) is required for installation.

To install, first secure the mounting flange to the roof. Then connect the two wires on the vent to your RV's electrical system. The black wire is for power, and the white wire is for ground. Next insert the vent into the flange and fasten it down using the metal mounting points on the flange. To finish, trim the garnish as needed to fit the thickness of your roof and install it.

I purchased this maxxfan to replace the roof vent unit that came on our camper. This new vent fan is whisper quiet and best of all it can remain open while its raining. The install was easy and it fit the original hole perfectly. Used the TremPro 644 sealant also sold by etrailer and the install came out perfect. Thank You! etrailer for quick shipments and quality products.

The exhaust fan works as advertized and we are very happy with our purchase.

MA00-06200K -MaxxAir deluxe 10speed fan I bought this to replace the standard Fantastic Fan that was in my teardrop camper. Best upgrade ever!! The MaxxAir is SO quiet & moves the air!! The low profile smoke color lid is nice too.

Nice product, very impressed with it’s design, construction, functions, quality and ease of operations. It looks great on my Transit van. Being it’s a medium height roof I don’t want it to be any higher than it has to be. The low profile is nice. The height of van with Maxxfan open is 9 ft. 4 in. The etrailer installation video on the Transit was very helpful. I made a frame just as described on the video. Using the 2 x 2 ft. piece of 3/4 inch plywood to make the frame is the way to go. It provides the strength I needed due to the weight of my solar panel bracket just 3 inches away. The two screws you see near the edge of the frame is the solar panel bracket. A constructed picture frame style frame would never support the weight. It is a strong solid frame. The roof is solid.

Maxxair after 1 year is working great and looking good. I didn’t. Mention in my original review that I have it powered by my solar batteries. This way there is no problem with draining the truck battery. I can leave the van locked up and windows closed and exhaust the heat for hours when away exploring.

I love these fans. When I bought a caravan I removed the fantastic fan for one of these because it can be left open when it rains....I rarely ever closed it just so I had airflow in the caravan. Now I have a van, installed it for the same reason. Expensive, but worth it in the long run. I wish they offered a non translucent top model.

A yeah later and it still is the best thing I did to the van for increased comfort...next is solar

I am really looking forward to installing these fans, I love the concept and the design. Like everything else concerning eTrailer (and Bailey who helped me) the whole process from research, getting questions answered, the videos on the product page, the ordering, fast shipping and follow up has been awesome. I am remodeling an older motor home and everything on the roof is being replaced.. the membrane, fans, air conditioners, etc, etc.

- MA00-06200K

The Maxxfan was very easy to install. etrailer had quick and friendly service!

- MA00-06200K

I use my van for construction as well as camping. I wanted an all weather fan to keep it more comfortable. I just installed the MaxxAir fan today and so far is seems great. I followed the install video for my Nissan NV2500 on etrailer.com and everything went perfectly. The only thing in did differently was use pvc board instead of plywood for the pack out material. It looks great and functions great. I would highly recommend this product.

- MA00-06200K

I purchased this MaxxAir MaxxFan to replace a stock vent/fan that came on my teardrop camper. The most important thing to me was that the fan was quiet as it is only about 4 feet away while sleeping. This fan is so quiet that I can barely hear it on low and on high we can talk in normal tones and hear the television over it just fine. With the stock fan on we could not hear the TV even with the volume at max and could barely stand to leave it on while sleeping. The sleek profile actually adds style to the teardrop. My second hope is that it moves enough air that we won't need to use A/C - so far so good, this fan moves so much air that my curtains go sideways (and can still hear crickets outside) and the 10 speeds let me get it just perfect. Auto on at 78 degrees, reversible, ceiling fan... all nice bonuses. 100% satisfied with this product - Follow the directions, install is relatively easy, solid product. Hardest part for me was correcting the original opening which was not square. I used an oscillating tool to cut the inside shroud down, it was pretty quick but left some cleanup, not sure if it was ultimately any easier than using the prescribed hacksaw.

We ordered and DIY-installed two of these MaxxAir fans to replace ineffective and aging vent fans in our 5th wheel RV. Installation was straightforward using the easy-to-understand instructions. All the necessary hardware is included, although you'll need some butyl tape and self-leveling sealant to complete the installation on the rooftop. We love the ease of operation, the relatively quiet 10-speed fan, and the ability to use the fan even during a rain. The mounting bracket that fits the 14" roof opening is a one-time install, meaning that you don't have to tear into the roof and sealant again should you ever need to replace the fan and cover unit with the same or similar model. I agree with all the other positive reviews I've read about this product.

We still love our MaxxAir fans!

The product was back-ordered but the communication was excellent around when the product would be back in stock And they received it and sent it out exactly when they said they would. Product was in perfect condition. Couldn't be happier with the service from etrailer.com

- MA00-06200K

The vent installation went very well. The video on etrailer was helpful. I added aluminum reinforcement flat bars to the top of the mounting flange to improve the stiffness of the sheet metal roof. The Sprinter van has a flat area to install the fan without having to build up a mounting surface. I used stainless steel Philips head screws and nylocks instead of the provided stainless steel screws. The black wire on the fan is the positive lead which is not a standard 12-volt wiring color.

It is an excellent fan and I have had no problems

- MA00-06200K

Easy installation. Very functional with multi speed and in/out draw of air. The unit does not make much noise while driving at speed but does rattle slightly with cross winds. While the battery is charging and the charge is greater than 12.5 V, either while driving or plugged into shore power, the unit will cut out. I believe that it is an internal circuit breaker. It resets when the charge is over. It needs an in-line resister to prevent this.

- MA00-06200K

I was looking for a way to keep the rooflines of my teardrop trailer as close to factory as I could. This maxxfan fit the bill perfectly.

- MA00-06200K

This is my second Maxxfan for my van! why two fans on my van? it's a 2017 GMC Savana cargo van and the curvature of the van is to much for most add on windows and the ones I found that would work I didn't like so a second fan was to let more ventilation in . You can leave the fans open even in the rain and they have 10 speeds for intake or exhaust.

Good, I have two of them I installed in my cargo van do to no windows that open in the back. We have had some good rains and with the vents open NO Leaks. The video on etrailer were very helpful.

- MA00-06200K

Great upgrade from stock RV vents with 4" fan. These move more air with a lot less noise. Having the rain hood built in is much nicer than the after market covers. The smoke cover would be a little better if they were a bit darker.

- MA00-06200K

Exactly what we needed! The installation took less than 2 hours including removing the old fan.

- MA00-06200K

Wow, excellent order process, shipment and delivery. Could not be happier! Etrailet is the place to go.

- MA00-06200K

The Maxxair Deluxe fan works better than expected. We ordered the version without a remote and are extemely happy with the product. It took me a while to get around to putting it in my motorhome as I thought I would have to fish wires through my ceiling insulation, but when I remove the vent (with no fan) there were wires for the 12 volt lights already passing through the opening. Some YouTube videos warned against using power to your lights to power your fan since they are switched. Each light in our motorhome has its own switch in addition to the switch up front that controls them all. I just have to leave the main switch on and turn each individual light off. We do that anyway most of the time so it worked out fine. The vent fan was pretty easy to install and I am not the most handy person you will ever meet. As always the fine people at etrailer were friendly and helpful and they have at least as good a price as anyone and better than most. Very happy camper.

Still love it. Thinking of adding another this summer!

- MA00-06200K

Straight forward install, and the 10spd fan is amazing. Perfect at night to keep air moving but still remains super quiet.

- MA00-06200K

Great so far. Easy to install. The worst part was removing the Dicor around the old vent that I replaced.

- MA00-06200K

It only worked 5 times. When it worked it was nice. I checked incoming power it's fine. I think the control board is bad. Emailed customer service (the manufacturer) and never heard anything back. Per the internet many people have had control board failures early on with this fan. We didn't use it much at first due to cold weather. I install CNC maching centers and am well versed in electrical and trouble shooting.

- MA00-06200K

Much better than our old one speed exhaust fan!

- MA00-06200K

Good looking unit, can't wait to hook it up for functional test!

The MaxxFan is the best money I spent on my tear, its whisper quiet and moves a lot of air!

These fans are great. I have two in my van and they provide great ventilation. Very happy with the choice of the MaxxAir Fans. I'm also very happy choosing etrailer. The shipping is very quick and products are as depicted. I've ordered several times from etrailer.

Love the MaxxAir Fans (I have 2). They work great, quiet and easy to clean. Also, I love doing business with etrailer. Competitive prices, fast shipping.

You can install the vent without the garnish, however, it will leave anything between your ceiling and roof exposed on the inside of your trailer...

  • Troubleshooting MaxxFan Deluxe That Speeds Up and Slows Down Randomly
It sounds like the control panel on your MaxxFan 6200K # MA00-06200K has gone out, which would explain the erratic functioning that you're describing. You can replace the circuit board on this unit with part # MA10A21276K. I've linked a short review video of this part for you, as well.

  • Installing MaxxAir MaxxFan Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan on 2016 Jayco 5th-Wheel Trailer
Most likely there is not a 12 volt power source already ran to the ceiling of your 2016 Jayco 317RLOK Fifth Wheel Trailer. You can check at the opening to see if there are any wires that might provide a 12 volt circuit. When installing the MaxxAir MaxxFan Trailer Roof Vent # MA00-06200K, you will just need to route a power wire to the ceiling in order to power the fan. This fan will require 12-volt DC and a minimum 5-amp service. The rough opening size that this will install in is 14-1/4...

  • Would MaxxAir Roof Vent Fan part # MA00-06200K Fit on 2016 Taxa Tigermoth Micro Camper
The opening needed for the MaxxAir MaxxFan Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # MA00-06200K that you referenced would work well on your 2016 Taxa Tigermoth micro camper. It's normally used on larger trailers, but as long as you are able to cut a 14 by 14 inch hole in the roof of your camper it would fit and work well.

  • What is the Mounting Hole Spacing for MaxxAir MaxxFans and Fan-Tastic Roof Vents
The mounting holes on the MaxxAir MaxxFan Trailer Roof Vent # MA00-06200K are spaced 4 inches apart on center. On the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent # FV801250 the mounting holes are spaced 3-3/4 inches apart on center. With this information you will be able to tell if either hole spacing will work for you. As for the old Fan-Tastic vent models I am not aware of the hole spacing. We recommend using silicone, # 0160297, when installing roof vents.

  • Fan and Return for Use in a SpaceKap or Camper Shell
The MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat - Manual Lift - 10 Speed - Smoke part # MA00-06200K that you looked at will be a great choice and will move a lot of air for you. As far as proper venting goes you can install a couple of the Valterra Louvered Battery Box Cone Vent Cover - Black part # A10-3300BK on your bulkhead between the cab and the bed this is a fairly protected area from road spray and dirt and such and is just a one sided vent that would allow plenty of flow....

  • Can Maxxair Deluxe Roof Vent MA00-06200K Mount Off Center on Van Roof
MaxxFan Deluxe 12V Roof Vent # MA00-06200K and similar RV roof vents can be installed off-center in the roof of your Transit T-150. The minor difference in depth from the roof corrugations is not an issue since you'll be using an install kit with flexible sealant like # 344270KITW. For wiring the vent to your 12V power I recommend using 10-gauge wire # 10-2-1 and butt connectors # 224775.

  • Whats the Best Style of RV Roof Vent to Cool Off Van
The three roof vents offer very different ventilation solutions. If you are looking for the best way the MaxxFan part # MA00-06200K wins easily. It has a fan that moves 900 CFM (that's quite a bit) and a lid design that allows you to never have to worry about rain getting in. Basically you can use this fan in any weather and you're fine. I attached an install video for this on a similar camper van for you to check out too. The next step down is the # FV807350 you mentioned which also...

  • Recommended Vent With 12V Fan For Ford Transit Van
The MaxxAir MaxxFan Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - w/ Rain Cover - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" - Smoke # MA00-06200K will not work with your 1/4 inch thick roof without building the roof up on the inside or outside. It requires you to build up the roof if it is less than 1-1/8 inches thick. For your application, I recommend the Ventline Ventadome Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Powered Lift - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" - White # V2119-601-00. This will take about 1-5/16 inches of your interior space for the fan...

  • Powered Roof Vent Wiring for 2016 Keystone Cougar 326RDS
Most likely there isn't a 12 volt power source already ran to the ceiling of your trailer. You can check but most likely you are going to need to route at least one heavy gauge wire with a minimum of 20 amps on it's circuit to the ceiling to power each of the fans. From there you will be able to run power to each of the fans. It won't necessarily be easy, but this would be how an installer would go about installing 4 of the MaxxAir MaxxFan Trailer Roof Vent # MA00-06200K.

  • Can the MaxxAir MaxxFan # MA00-06200K Fit on an Angled Roof
These types of fans will work with slanted roofs. The only time that a slanted roof poses a problem for one of these is when the roof has a kind of dome shape. As long as you are installing this on an even slope it will work just fine. The great thing about this fan is that it has an adjustable thermostat so that your Camper or RV can sit at a certain temperature. It will work great in your Tigermoth. Just a few specs to add: the rough opening size required to fit the fan is 14-1/4 inches...
