Not only does this roof vent defeat rainwater, but it protects against bugs and debris too. The LED lights could be brighter but I still like it. I did rewire mine so that it can be ran from switches.
It's a good product but it has a flaw. I installed one on my van less than 2 years ago. The fan motor quit. I couldn't find a replacement motor on MaxxFans site so I bought this entire new unit. The motor is tiny and cheap.

Delivery was great as always. Install very easy to my ambulance/camper conversion. It was my first ceiling vent and later found I underestimated the air flow I would want in the box. Since then I have removed this to move it to the shower/bathroom where it will work best for this application. Purchased the MaxxFan Plus w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote - Powered Lift - 10 Speed(MA00-04500K) and FanMate.
I am happy with this fan in my Ford Transit Connect. It is a standard height SWB Transit so I didn't feel I needed a more powerful fan. I like the built in light. I need this to fit in my garage so this fit the bill for a reasonable price. I will be running it off a portable power station and solar to charge the power bank. My van already had a popup vent installed so this should move some air through nicely. The installation after watching a few videos went smooth and took a few hours. I cut the roof hole, put down butyl tape and self leveling lap sealant. My roof is thinner so I did not need to use the middle extension piece. I did use my own 1" self taping screws. I would say I have moderate skills with tools and measuring. My electrical skills are minimal but I did not have any issues with this. Just put it in this morning so I haven't camped with it yet.
I love this Maxxair fan. It looks nice, clean lines, low profile and super easy to install with thorough step by step instructions.

Easy to install. Has worked daily for the last year. Does not provide nearly the air flow of larger versions, but helps keep the stale air out. Excellent customer service from etrailer.

Great fan , the most I love about it, it's has less moving par.. example the first one that I had the top would go up and down has you use it, at a years the mechanical part broke off and I am out of $170, now with this maxx air mini fan all the moving part are from inside plus there is no hatch going up and down and the inside moving part of the maxx air are only the switches/controls.. I had replace the front of my van and now I am about to reorder another one for the back since that one broke off too and the maxx air it's seem more durable pastic... Thanks maxx air.... love
This product was easy to install and does exactly what I need from it. The LED light and fan combo is perfect and I highly recommend this product. Thumbs up!!
Very poor quality. In less than 6 months, the control knob had fallen off. Another couple of months & the switch no longer works at all. Don’t waste your money!

This vent works great as my bathroom also has a window so I really didn’t need a regular vent that opens. I couldn’t be happier with it. The LED light is a nice touch.
Looks and works really well really like LED light works awesome for where I put vent
Only issue I have is not with product is that it took almost two weeks to get from date I ordered it
Disappointed in the lack of speed control and the light is very bright with on dimmer. No natural light is visible when open. Would not purchase this fan again.
The package was delivered on time and looks great!
It was missing 2 screws but otherwise its great.
Also would be a good idea to send the required butyl tape and a small tube of caulking to make it a complete kit.

The lights stopped working the second week of use. Im not so happy with the vent
Items ordered arrived on time and in perfect condition. Can't use any of them till the snow melts. All I can say is that etrailer service is fantastic.
Installed new vents. No issues so far.
Directions are fantastic and easy to understand. Install was a breeze.
Hardware that was provided was not long enough

Fans have been working good. The light on one fan stopped working recently however. I’ll probably upgrade to the bigger max fan size to move more air. I give them a 7 out of 10

Great fan, used to vent air near the stove so it failed after 6 months because the motor sucked in too much grease. They warranted it out for free and the new unit is holding up much better.
