Joe: Hello. My name is Joe with Camco. Today I'd like to talk to you about Camco's Vent Cover. Fresh air, circulation and ventilation is essential for your RV's cabin. With Camco's RV Vent Cover installed you'll be able to keep your vent open rain or shine. You can even keep it open while traveling down the road or in storage. Camco's Vent Cover installs easily to all standard vents and has features of other expensive vent covers at an affordable price.
The removable louvers on the back of the vent cover gives you easy access to your vent as well as making cleaning and maintenance a breeze. Camco's Vent Cover is available in several different colors. This offers you options on how much light is allowed in your RV as well as matching your coach's color. For installation you will need a pencil, a drill with a 3/16" big, Phillips head screw driver and a Crescent wrench. Center the Camco cover over roof vent with louvers facing the rear of the RV. Using your pencil mark the location of the slots in the side flange.
Lay a mounting bracket on your roof so the slot intersects one of the marked locations that are closest to the corners of the vent frame. Mark the location of the screw hole in the bracket onto the roof vent frame and drill through the frame using your 3/16" diameter drill bit. Place one of the carriage bolts up through the bracket slot and fasten the bracket to the roof vent frame using a #8 screw, washer, lock washer and nut which are provided for you. The washers and nuts will go on the inside of the vent frame. The other three brackets will be installed in the same way. Once all four of your brackets are installed place the vent cover over the four carriage bolts and attach with the 1/4" washers, lock washers and nuts.
Before you tighten it make sure the square heads of the carriage bolts are seated in the bracket slots to prevent them from turning. Do not over tighten. There will be a gap in between the vent and your RV's roof. This is normal and will help prevent condensation. The louvers at the rear of the cover are easily removable for cleaning the screen. Remove the two Phillips head screws and tilt the louvers away from the cover and lift out to remove.
Rinse the louvers and screen with a garden hose. To replace louvers put the three ears into the slots in the cover and attach the two screws being sure not to over tighten. .

Great deal, easy to install. Took me maybe 25 minutes. Happy I can leave my trailer hood vent open without worrying about the weather/ rain. Wish the brackets came with 2 screws each for connecting to roof vent. But that’s a easy and cheap fix.

Good product, better value than the Maxxair covers. I had ordered a Maxxair from another vendor, but the order was cancelled because they don't seem to be available. The smoke color is translucent, but darker than the Maxxair. I assume this to be the same height, but this limits the opening of my standard vent a little bit. Very quick, easy install.

Fast delivery, great product, fair pricing. Really like the fact that you can remove the screen and clean out debris that has fallen on top of the vent screen. Covers fit perfectly over the vent lid, secured down with the attached hardware that's included. Heavy duty design; had to replace other covers that got cracked bad due to hailstorm. Ordered 3 of these covers and they are fantastic. Put them on the day before a very heavy storm and had vents open and not a drop of rain came in and keep the trailer a nice temp. WishIgot them before. Easy to install make sure drill bit is sharp as hard to get holes made.

Exact replacement for my old weather/sun deteriorated vent. Very good instructions helped with smooth installation. When used with Camco cover, can use my trailer as dry, vented storage or to actually tow something somewhere, with no adjustments needed for venting.
