Ideal for Full-Time RVing or Boating

Living in your RV or boat can be a real adventure, and you'll want your facilities to live up to that lifestyle. This toilet easily handles everyday use, making it great for when you're living in your RV or boat full-time. It's just as tall as a standard residential toilet, so it's easy to sit down on and get up from. The durable wooden seat holds heat for those chilly nights. And the sturdy ceramic bowl is easy to clean. If you call your camper or houseboat your home, this is the toilet you'll need when nature calls.

Measure to Fit

RV toilet rough in measurement

There's one measurement you should double check to see if this toilet will easily fit into your bathroom. The rough-in measurement is the minimum distance you'll need from the wall to the center of the flange on which the toilet will sit. To measure this distance without uninstalling your current toilet, the mounting bolts on the side will typically tell you where the center of the flange is. You may want to triple check if your toilet has an offset flange or 4-bolt mounting style.

The Dometic 510 Series RV toilet has a rough-in measurement of 11". If your rough-in measurement is less than 11", select a toilet model with a lower requirement or consider alterations to make it fit. Keep in mind the overall dimensions of the toilet, and measure for yourself to pick the best model for an easy DIY upgrade.

installed easily, its kinda weird that the foot pedal is on the oppossite side as to what I'm used to and at 45psi the water comes out along the rim about a third of the way around so you kinda have to use the sprayer every time and they have installed all the foot pedal valve assembly on the outside of the pedestal so if you ever need to change it out the toilet can stay bolted to the floor it has a nice chrome sprayer that works well

a year on and the seat haa been replaced and the sprayer nozle has kinda fallen apart, but I reassembled it. I had envisioned a better flush but not unless you are above 60psi does the water make it all the way around the rim, so I spent the extra, what I did find out is any old toilet with a sprayer works the best

by:

Very happy with my Rv toilet

by:

Excellent toilet and sprayer. Works great. Easy to install. Only problem is sprayer is over priced. It is not RV specific. It is the same one you find in your kitchen. You can pick one up from any hardware store for half the price. Just being honest.

I really wanted to find a solution with the foot pedal, however when I reached out to Dometic they advised that the toilet would need to be replaced. I would be happy to send you the warranty details if you are interested.

I reached out to the manufacturer and they advised that they felt like the gummy substance is coming from the fresh water tank. They recommend to go ahead and drain the tank then clean it out before hooking it up again.

by:

It didn't fit in my motorhome, and I was told by a very rude woman when I called about it that there would be a restocking fee charge to retune it and I would need to pay return shipping. I never did use it. I wound up putting it in a junk pile and lost almost $500.00 I paid for the toilet. Bought another toilet somewhere else.

by:

So here's the story, I ordered this commode from the trailer paid for express shipping and I received it in 2 days. When I open the box to install it had a crack in the ceramic Bowl. I called the trailer at a 5:00 p.m. in a panic as we were leaving in 3 days for our trip of 5 weeks. They immediately responded and sent me a replacement, overnight at their expense. Happy ending to this Saga is I received the replacement with 36 hours to spare. Everyone I talk to on the phone was more than accommodating and concerned that I was happy. I am!.

by:

Ordering was a breeze and the tracking information providid made tracking easy. The package arrived a day early (only 2 days to receive). When i opened package I was impressed with the care taken to package toilet with all the extra support inside box. Installation was easy and all parts were there for install except I had to get a length of hose and a splice fitting with clamps for water line. That is to be expected though. My old toilet flush was on right side and not as much hose was needed. The only reason I did not give five stars is that the toilet seat was cracked where it screws to lid. I am replacing it anyway because I prefer a no slam lid. Other than that first rate service and product. Thank you!!

by:

Really looking for one year follow up. Toilet broke other day. Had to pay for another to get the warranty reimbursement. Plus I have to pay the shipping back on the toilet u sold me. Hmm great deal. Hope I get another 2 year warranty. No faith in this product.

Under the warranty, you are responsible for return freight. We will cover the cost of shipping the replacement item to you. You do not need to pay for another item unless you upgrade toilets.

by:

I’m a repeat customer and every time I order from etrailer it’s awesome!!! Thank you so much!

by:

This is a great toilet works perfectly. Very easy install in my case, I removed a Dometic model 210 and installed the 510.
Was thinking about the 320 that also has great reviews until I found out if the foot pedal breaks you need to replace the the toilet. Dometic doesn’t make any replacement pedal parts.

by:

A small black plastic piece broke inside the pedal you push down and wouldn’t flush. I repaired it myself but was very inconvenient. Other than that it great.

by:

Great toilet. Clean and easy to install

by:

after receiving a new base to resolve a leak, i installed new unit and still had a leak. winterized camper and will try to troubleshoot this spring.

by:

The toilet was just what I was wanting. But I wasn't happy about the price in which they charged. Almost twice as much as a toilet for your house!

by:

Item was in stock, shipped quick, arrived in great shape, and works really well. Spray nozzle was a dud but customer service jumped right on it and sent out a new one. Great service, I’m an etrailer fan from here on out

by:

The team at Etrailer is the best. I called mid day, confirmed the product was in stock. They listen to my problem, and was able to get my product to me next day! Awesome service, highest quality product and the customer service was the best!

by:

Really good worth every penny

by:

the only complaint I have is there is no simple way to drain water from the flush valve to keep it from freezing and breaking. Mine froze and broke and I had to replace the broken part. If there is a simple way to drain the water from the flush valve let me know. Everything else was good.

by:

BE AWARE BEFORE YOU ORDER. This is NOT an ELONGATED SEAT toilet. It is a regular ROUND toilet seat. We thought we were upgrading to a roomier elongated bowl/seat. Very disappointing. But we had to install it anyway since our old toilet was leaking and were full-timers. So, it is what it is now. So we're making it work. It is a good rv toilet. Just not what we thought we were getting.

by:

Professional grade - thank you for making a quality product.

by:

Ordered to replace 210 that is no longer available.. install was easy enough but as usual ., the simplest of projects can turn into pain.. broke one of the bolts on mounting.. with 1/4 socket drive… but that all my doing.. etrailer has great tracking ., delivered exactly on time and in good condition., I will have to say.., they spanked [online]!!! I will be ordering more things from them!!!

by:

Disappointed it didn’t come with a slow close lid, otherwise it’s great!

  • What is Differene Between Dometic Full Timer RV Toilets 320 and 510
The Dometic 510 Elongated Seat Toilet part # DOM29FR basically just has a larger bowl and seat than the 320 version part # DOM87FR. The 510 is more or less just a slightly larger and heavier (by 10 lbs) standard height toilet. The 510 will seem more like a toilet you'd find in a house whereas the 320 will seem like an RV toilet that's just a little smaller and more compact.

  • Replacement Dometic Toilet With Elongated Bowl, White Ceramic, and Sprayer
The Dometic DOM49FR is no longer available, but we have another toilet that is nearly identical. The Dometic # DOM29FR has the same features: elongated bowl, white ceramic, sprayer included, 2 year warranty, wood seat, 2-bolt installation. The only difference is the 29 is not low profile. The mounting bolt holes are on 6" centers. I have attached a picture of the bottom of the base.

  • Difference Between Dometic 320 Full-Timer & Dometic 510 Full-Timer RV Toilets
There are only a couple difference between the Dometic 320 and 510 RV toilets, which I'll go over for you; real quick, here are the part numbers for both: - Dometic 320 Full-Timer RV Toilet # DOM87FR - Dometic 510 Full-Timer RV Toilet # DOM29FR The biggest difference is that the 510 has an included hand sprayer, while the 320 does not come with a hand sprayer. Aside from that there are only minor dimensional differences, with the 320 having a seat cutout that is 1" longer, and is 1-3/4"...

  • Recommended Replacement Standard Height RV Toilet
For a toilet that won't hold water you definitely want a new one, as there aren't repair parts for it, and that includes the foot pedal. But since you have a four-bolt mount, you can easily replace it, you just need to measure for the fit. What you'll want to do is measure the distance from the wall to the center of the flange the toilet sits, as you can see in the accompanying cut out I added. If that measurement is 11 inches, for a standard height toilet I recommend the Dometic 320 Full-Timer...

If you didn't grip the nuts they would likely spin with the bolt and never loosen up. The nuts are located in a spot where if they did fall they would just land on the floor of the bathroom.
