This clear and crisp LED TV runs off AC power (alternating current) for when you are hooked up to shore power at an RV park - no need to waste generator power or your vehicle's battery. If your RV is decked out with Jensen HDMI-equipped electronics, you can use the included JCOM remote for all of them, which means you won't have lots of remotes lying around.

Multiple Connection Points

This TV also has multiple connection points that let you hook up external devices such as a gaming console or laptop so you can access and view additional content.

Viewing Distance

Because of the limited space available in RVs, it can be difficult to determine the size of TV to purchase that, when mounted, will be seen clearly and without distortion. A good rule of thumb is to measure the TV's screen size (diagonally) and multiply that number by a range of 1.5 to 2.5. The table below shows the best minimum and maximum viewing distance from each TV size, in inches and feet.

TV Screen Size Table Aug 2019

Since this TV has a 55" screen, you will want to make sure that the space between where you will mount the TV and where you sit to watch it is between 6 feet 10.8 inches and 11 feet 5.5 inches. At this distance, the TV picture quality will appear crisp and clear.

VESA Mounting Pattern

Jensen RV TV VESA Mounting Pattern

The VESA standard refers to the pattern of the mounting holes on the back of the TV. The holes are placed specifically for the purpose of indicating which mounting bracket to buy for that TV. The pattern is determined by measuring in millimeters from the center of one mounting hole to the center of the next mounting hole horizontally and then vertically.

  • Recommended 55" Smart TV For RV That Can Be Mounted Outside
You sure can! Similar to the Jensen LED RV Smart TV # ASA98VR you're interested in, we have the: -Jensen LED 110V RV TV # JE5515. This TV has all the same features as # ASA98VR however it does have the much larger 55" screen you're interested in. As far as the capability to be mounted outside your RV, you can absolutely do that. All you'd need to do is make sure it is connected to a good 110V power source, just like you would if it were inside your RV.

  • Can Jensen RV TV With No Sound Be Fixed or Does It Need To Be Replaced?
The only thing you can try to do to fix your Jensen TV with no sound is unplugging it for a few minutes to try and do a hard reset and then plug it back in. If that doesn't fix the problem and it isn't still under warranty, then you'll need to replace it with something like the Jensen LED # JE5515.

  • Troubleshooting Jensen TV in 2010 Travel Trailer
The first thing to check on your Jensen TV that has suddenly stopped working is the power supply to it. If your travel trailer has a fuse or breaker on the power circuit for the TV then the fuse could be blown or the breaker needs to be reset. If you have a circuit tester like # PTW2992 or a multimeter like # PT89ZR you can try to find and test the power wiring for the TV to see if the issue is simply loss of operating power. Usually you can find a nearby panel that will give you access...

  • How to Determine Fitment of the 55 Jensen LED RV TV
I really wish that I could confirm this for you right off-hand but the only way to know that the 55" Jenson LED RV TV # JE5515 will fit for your specific application is to measure where the 39" screen is but substitute the 49-1/2" wide x 29-1/4" tall x 3-1/2" deep measurements of the 55" Jensen TV. If you currently can't get to the RV then it may be worth contacting the dealer you are considering purchasing it from and seeing if they can confirm this fit for you. The size difference...

  • Recommended Replacement TV For A Jensen TV That Powers Off Intermittently
If your Jensen TV is turning on and off intermittently, there is a possibility that there is a power issue. Before you consider replacing your TV I recommend verifying that your TV is getting the appropriate amount of power. To do this you can use a multimeter like the Digital Multimeter with 42" Long Test Leads # PT89ZR. If you verify that your TV is getting an adequate amount of power, and there are no loose/damaged connections, then I would look into a replacement. The closest option...

  • Is There a Reset Button On The Jensen 50" LED TV?
On a 50" Jensen TV like the 55" Jensen LED 110V RV TV # JE5515 there is not a reset button. There is an option in the menu to restore defaults back to the factory settings. This option is at the bottom of the setup menu.

  • Troubleshooting A Non-Working Jensen LED 110V RV TV # JE5515
There isn't a reset button on the Jensen LED 110V RV TV # JE5515, but unplugging it from the power for about 15 minutes should be enough time to fully reset tv. While you have the TV unplugged I recommend checking the outlet with a multimeter # PT89ZR to make sure that the outlet is providing enough power for the TV to properly operate. You should be around 110v to 120v AC. If you read less than 110v then we know that the power source is the issue and not the TV.
