Furrion's dual-induction cooktop delivers maximum performance and efficiency on your RV travels. Designed to be used inside your RV, you can either mount it into the counter so the surface is flush with the countertop, or you can use the included feet to place the cooktop on any flat surface. This helps to conserve counter space and lets you store the cooktop when not in use.

Cooking Zones

Furrion's cooktops utilize a heat balancing functionality, or power sharing. The two burners share the power used by the system to balance out how much heat is generated by each burner in order to prevent overheating and injury or damage.

What this means is that there are a total of 10 heat levels for the entire cooktop, and a single burner used by itself can be set to a maximum of level 10. But when using both burners, the two burners' combined heat level cannot exceed 10. If one burner is increased from level 5 to level 6, the second burner will decrease from level 5 to level 4, keeping an even maximum heat level of 10 across both burners.

Safety Features

Furrion builds safety features into their induction cooktops to protect you and your family. These features include the child safety lock, the auto shut-off function, and the hot surface indicator, all designed to maximize safety as well as efficiency.

The child safety lock prevents accidental use or activation. When you press the up and down arrow buttons at the same time, the cooktop will lock, allowing you to use the power button only. The indicator light will come on when the cooktop is locked. Pressing the up and down arrow buttons again will unlock the cooktop and the indicator light will go off.

The auto shut-off feature ensures that even if the cooktop is accidentally left on, it will only remain activated for 1 hour, and then will automatically shut down. The only exception is if you program the timer for longer than 1 hour, after which the cooktop will shut off in case you forget to power it down.

Since induction doesn't actually heat up the cooktop surface, there isn't a way to know if the burner is on unless an induction-compatible pot is placed on top. Because of this, Furrion has added lights to the burners, which illuminate when you adjust the heat settings. This gives you the visual impression of heat, even though you can't feel it if you place your hand on the glass surface.

Compatible Cookware and Accessories

Induction cooktops can only operate well with certain types of cookware. Magnetic pots and pans are the best option for induction cooking. If you are unsure if your cookware is magnetic, place a magnet on the bottom of the pot or pan and if it sticks, that cookware will work with your induction cooktop.

The best magnetic cookware should be no smaller than 4-1/2" in diameter and no larger than 10". This is to ensure that the heat is evenly distributed and the food thoroughly cooked.

However, there is a way to use your regular cookware with the induction cooktop. The stainless steel heat converter disk from Lippert (LC428430 - sold separately) allows the heat to transfer from the cooktop to your non-induction cookware. This way, you don't have to purchase separate cookware just for use with the induction cooktop.

Video Transcript for Furrion RV Stoves and Cooktops - Cooktop - FIH2ZEABG Review

Today, we're going to take a look at the Furrion dual-burner induction cooktop for RVs. Now, this is cutting-edge dual-induction cooktop, delivers maximum performance and efficiency for mobile applications. Now, induction cooking will heat a pot or a pan electrically by magnetic induction instead of using a heating element or a flame. Inductive heating will directly heat the pan very fast, and the heat changes are instantaneous. Also, inductive heating is very efficient so less waste heat in the kitchen. Now, since it uses magnetic induction, it does require cookware that's designed for induction cooking so basically, if the base of the pan you're using is attracted by a magnet, then it'll work on induction cooking. Now, this does use Loadsmart technology which will balance performance with convenience.

Cooks with less time, less energy, more precision. Does use Climatesmart technology to keep the cooktop running in even the most extreme climates, and the Vibrationsmart technology helps the cooktop resist vibration. They do use sensor touch controls which make the operation quick and easy. You just touch on those, and they will operate. Does have 11 temperature control settings, anywhere from 150 degrees to 450 degrees, and it goes in 30-degree increments. It does have 10 power levels on each side, and it does use auto-pan detection which means the burner will not turn on without the pot or the pan in place on the burner.

Does have a kitchen timer. It can be set for up to 180 minutes. A sharp press adds a minute at a time, and if you hold it for a long press, it adds 10 minutes at a time. Right here, it has a nice four-digit LED display with a hot surface indicator. It does have automatic shut-off in two hours unless your timer is set for more than two hours, then it'll turn off after the timer expires.

Another nice feature on this, it does use a child lock on it which will mean you just take these two up and down keys, press them at the same time together and it'll lock the unit so nobody can touch the buttons and operate it, and then to unlock it if you just hold those buttons for a moment of time. It'll unlock it.Construction, it has a nice ceramic black crystal glass construction. The cord right here is a 60-inch rear power cord. A few specs on this cooktop. The maximum power is 1800 watts combined, 1500 watts per hot plate, and there's two cooking zones.

There's a left cooking zone and a right cooking zone. The diameter of each cooking zone is seven inches, and as we mentioned 1500 watts per cooking zone. The electric supply is 120 volts AC, 60 hertz. Overall dimension, we take our tape measure, overall length is 24-3/8" long, depth on it is right at 15 inches, and the overall height of the unit is two inches deep. Now, the cutout dimension, let me just sort of raise this up, and you'll see the area that if you want to put this into a cabinet, the cutout dimension on it would be 23-1/2" long, 14-1/4" wide. Comes with a nice operating and installation instruction manual that'll describe how to install it and how to operate it. That should do it for the review on the Furrion dual-burner induction cooktop for RVs.

  • Replacement Induction Cooktop for High Pointe M-ID185 on Thor Aria 3901

This comes in a 45 foot roll, so you'll have quite a bit left over. The good news is that you can easily find other uses as it also seals doors, windows, vents or any place air and water could leak into your RV, while also lowering your energy costs. I do...

  • Best Induction Cooktop
I really like the Greystone Induction Cooktop for RVs - Double Burner - 1800 Watt - 120V part # 324-000127 that you looked at It is very quick and much more effective than the traditional burner stoves. This one requires an opening of 19-3/8" wide x 13-3/8" deep in the counter top. If your current opening matches that or you have the room to enlarge it to match this will be a great fit.
