Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Prest-O-Fit, Black, 4-Piece Step Rug Set for your Lippert Solid Step RV Steps. Now this rug set is going to wrap around each of the four steps on your Lippert Solid Step with the 20-1/8 inch wide steps. And on your screen, I am including the item number for this set of steps that I have that this rug set is going to fit on. So if you have those steps that you see there on your screen, this is going to be exactly what you need, the 20-1/8 inch wide step platforms. Now, as you look at what I have here, I do wanna point out that I have this rug, this rug, and this rug fully installed.

This one I do not because I wanted to show you that one particular rug in a little bit more detail just to give you a feel and idea of what this rug set is going to be like, but I am going to install that one just to walk you through the installation process. Now, this material is made of heavy-duty, UV-protected outdoor turf that's going to be resistant to fading, as well as to mold and mildew. The strong bristle fibers are going to easily remove dirt and debris from your shoes. So what that means for you is there's gonna be less sweeping and mopping on the inside of your RV, which is always a good thing. Then when it comes time to clean them off, you could just get a hose and spray them down and let them air dry, and you're gonna be good to go.

Now the carpeted design has an additional benefit of being perfect for your pets as it does cover those hard, uninviting metal steps that might scare them off. I wanted to take this rug off and show you underneath. Underneath, we do have a textured rubberized back, and that's going to help keep these step rugs in place along with some additional methods to keep them secured on your steps. These pieces are going to install with a combination of hook-and-loop fasteners that you see here, and then zinc-plated, rust-resistant steel springs. So you're gonna get four springs on each step rug, and they're gonna give you just enough tension to hold each step rug in place.

And then with the hook-and-loop fasteners and those springs, you're gonna be able to then remove each step rug if you wanted to do like a really deep clean on them. So these are going to be removable. It's not going to be a permanent install. But once you do have them installed, they're gonna hold into place with that rubberized texture on the back, the hook-and-loop fasteners, and those springs. So it's a pretty easy install and once you have these installed, they're gonna look really great on your steps.

Now let me go ahead and walk through the process of installation. And honestly, it would probably be a little bit easier if you could raise these up. I can't do that the way that I have this set up here, so I'm just gonna do it the best way that I can here for our demonstration purposes. But the idea is, if you can see there while I'm sitting here, or seated here rather, is you just run one hook from one hole to the hole on the opposite side. And so I'm making sure that you can see that. That's what's gonna be taking place underneath your step platform. So that's what I'm going to do in installing this here. So the best way that I found is just to sit on the ground here just so I can get a view of the springs underneath. So let me go ahead and install these real quick. And so as you can see, these are black in color. The official name is Obsidian Black. And as I'm putting on these springs, they give just enough tension to hold that into place. And I don't think you're gonna have to worry about these coming off at all with the combination of the hook-and-loop fasteners and these steel springs. The springs are very strong. They're gonna hold really well for you. Let me see if I can find that last spring. There we go. I'm laying on it. Hook up this last one. And it's as simple as that. And so we are fully installed. I will say that it is going to be a little bit tricky getting those springs back out of the holes when you wanna remove them. So again, that's why it might be easier to have the steps rotated up so you can actually see what you're doing to get the hook out, but those hooks are gonna hold really well for you. You're not gonna have to worry about them corroding, rusting, or anything like that. They're gonna hold up really well. You're also gonna get some alignment guides here to help you install that top rug set that is included with this. So, no screws, no glue, no tools needed. Overall, a very easy installation. They're going to look great after you have them installed. So they're gonna do a great job of keeping the bottom of your shoes clean and also keeping the inside of your RV clean. Instructions are gonna be included to guide you through that installation process.
