Two years now and no issues to report. Very pleased with the product’s performance. During that time I have been on the road with our Travel Trailer for about 20k miles and over 400 overnight stays.

super excited about getting another solar panel for our RV! the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because when it arrived the packaging was really damaged. luckily the solar panel inside isn't damaged yet.1504439

The solar panel arrived fast and undamaged, but the lack of a mounting kit (which I found on [online vendor]) and the MC4 Furrion connectors to daisy chain the two panels together which so far I can't find anywhere the solar panel isn't much good.1185176

See what our Experts say about this Furrion RV Solar Panels
The Furrion Solar Panel - Rigid - 165 Watts - 59" x 26-5/8" # FR73SR will come with the FSEB30JWP-BL solar panel connectors included. I've attached a picture below from Furrion that will show you how to wire in additional panels to your system. view full answer...
If your RV currently has a Furrion system we have the Furrion Solar Panel, # FR73SR available that will match your connectors. This is a 165 watt monocrystalline panel that is 59" x 26-5/8" that has a bypass diode preventing the solar cells from overheating or burning out. I am unaware of another manufacturer that will plug directly in to the Furrion system without need of changing connector. view full answer...
The Furrion 165 watt solar panel part # FR73SR that you referenced does not use MC4 connectors and instead uses Zamp connectors. PV1-F 1×2.5 mm 2 wire terminated in PV connectors. view full answer...
Extension cables are not available from us for the Furrion Solar Panel Kit part # FR73SR but the cable type is PV1-F 1×2.5 mm 2 wire terminated in PV connectors. view full answer...
Since you have a Furrion controller, those include proprietary connections that are only compatible with Furrion panels. The only panel we carry by them is the Furrion Solar Panel - Rigid - 165 Watts - 59" x 26-5/8" # FR73SR. This panel comes with a maximum output of 165 watts and 8.82 amps. Depending on your energy needs, you may need to purchase more than 1 panel. view full answer...
To install an additional Furrion Solar Panel, # FR73SR to your current system, you will need the manufacturer part number FSEB30JWP-BL that should be included with the panel. Please note the attached image from Furrion showing how to wire a second panel. view full answer...
If you currently have the 165 Watts Furrion Solar Panel, # FR73SR installed that will have different connections than what Zamp products use. However, if the Zamp solar panel you have is their 160 portable unit, you simply connect using its solar controller instead of connecting to the existing roof mounted system and Furrion solar controller. You can have more than one solar controller supplying a battery bank. view full answer...
Your charge controller is rated for 25 amps and not watts which means you'd have to consider the amperage of the rest of the panels you have now to determine if you could take full advantage of the Furrion solar panel # FR73SR which is capable of 15 amps. view full answer...
The Furrion Solar Panel # FR73SR that you referenced is capable of putting out 8.82 amps, so yes you could use two of these 165 watt panels with a 25 amp controller and you'd not be exceeding the controller's output. view full answer...
Our Furrion Solar Panel part # FR73SR is the same as the Furrion part number FSFP16MW-BL so yes this would be exactly what you are looking for and would work great for you. view full answer...
I was able to confirm with Furrion that the 165W Solar Panel # FR73SR does not come with mounting hardware included; he also mentioned that they are in the process of re-designing these panels so the brackets they have previously used have been discontinued. With that said, you can use the Replacement Mounting Hardware for Go Power Rigid Solar Panels # 34272708 to mount this panel to your roof and it will work just fine. This kit comes with the Z style brackets that attach to the panel... view full answer...
Currently, we do not carry any inlet adapters that will work with your Solar Port Inlet for Furrion Solar Panel # FSPINS-BS. However, this is a simple two wire design, and should be relatively easy to convert/splice your harness to your new harness on whichever solar setup you decide to go with.
You also do not have to use a Furrion solar panel, like the Furrion Solar Panel # FR73SR you mention, you can use any solar panel that meets your solar needs.
You'll just want to make sure that... view full answer...
My recommendation is the Go Power Portable Solar Panel with Digital Solar Controller, # 34282610. This 200 watt solar panel with built-in controller is a portable charging system that lets you place the panel where needed while parked under the roof of your shed. This works with Gel, AGM, Lead Acid and Lithium battery chemistries. It comes complete with a 30-Amp PWM solar controller that provides automatic multistage smart charging; has cables and needed clamps/connectors. We also have... view full answer...
I went ahead and confirmed with Furrion that the Furrion MPPT Solar Charge Controller - 50 Amp # FSCC60PWBBL does not have an on/off switch. It is always functional whenever it is connected to a battery. I went ahead and attached the operating instructions for your convenience.
However, the controller does not have to be turned off for any reason while a battery is plugged in. This is because the # FSCC60PWBBL comes with three different power stages: the bulk stage, absorption stage,... view full answer...
The first thing to do would be to check your solar controller. If your solar controller is rated for at least 30 amps, you could use the Furrion Solar Panel # FR73SR to expand your system. But you would need to source the connectors directly from Furrion because they use proprietary connectors and I do not know of any Furrion to MC4 adapters.
In my personal opinion, because Furrion uses proprietary connectors you would be better off switching out your Furrion system for the Go Power Overlander... view full answer...
I reached out to Redarc and you will have no issues using both your 120 watt solar blanket and a 160 watt solar panel at the same time with the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger - Dual Input - DC to DC - 12V/24V - 40 Amp # 331-BCDC1240D as long as the solar panel and blanket are wired in parallel meaning the both positive wires are connected together, and both negative wires are connected together.
The reason for this is the # 331-BCDC1240D will only draw the power that it can take,... view full answer...
Yes, since your two 6 volt batteries are wired in series which doubles their voltage to 12 volts the Furrion Solar Panels # FR73SR will work to charge them. You wouldn't run this panel directly to your batteries though as you'll need to run it to a controller like the part # FSCC60PWBBL. The controller is what converts the power created by the panel to a current that will charge a battery the best. We also have similar kits that include everything like with the Go Power Overlander kit... view full answer...
Yes, the Universal Z-Mount Bracket Kit for Furrion Rooftop Solar Panels # FR44PR (C-FSFP16MW-A02) is the correct mounting bracket to mount your Furrion Solar Panel - Rigid - 165 Watts - 59" x 26-5/8" # FR73SR to the roof of your RV. It includes all necessary bolts and washers for complete installation but I still recommend using some self-leveling sealant like # AL98KV over the screws to ensure a water tight seal with your RV. view full answer...
