Clamp these sturdy steel wheels onto the square crossbar of your low-profile RV's rear hitch to help prevent tail dragging when backing up. Rotating wheels protect your undercarriage from unnecessary damage.THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT TO KEEP THE TAIL OF YOUR MOTORHOME FROM BOTTOMING OUT ON THOSE LOW PARKING LOTS WHERE YOU HAVE TO GO OVER A HUMP IN THE CURB CUT!!! NO MORE CRUNCHING OF THE REAR DRAG BARS CARVING GROOVES INTO THE GROUND!! I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL SETS OF WHEELS THAT I PURCHASED FROM PLACES LIKE GRANGER AND McMASTER-CARR BUT NONE WHERE HEAVY DUTY ENOUGH TO STAND UP TO THE TASK. SEEMS THAT IF YOU WANT A CASTER THAT'S HEAVY ENOUGH TO TAKE THE WEIGHT YOU CAN ONLY BUY LARGER DIAMETER WHEELS. THESES GUYS WHERE SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR THE TASK!! EVEN THE BOX THEY CAME IN WAS DESIGNED TO SHOW RV'ERS THAT THE COMPANY THAT MADE THEM SPELLS IT ALL OUT WITH THE GRAPHICS ON THE BOX. THESE GUYS ARE "EXTRA HEAVY DUTY" AND MADE TO DO THE JOB!!! INSTALLATION WAS A SNAP TOO!!! WITH AN AIR RATCHET I INSTALLED THEM IN LESS THEN 15 MINUTES, AN EASY TASK!!
So far, so good. A bit too much bling, so after thorough prep on the chrome, painted it with a flat black. Paint still on. Keeps the umbilical cord (lowest point on hitch) from taking a ramp strike. RV is 32' in length. Heads up: Needed a Needle Nose grease adapter to add grease.
The wheels are holding up just fine. We have only used our 5th. once since I installed them. The wheels have started to rust some, and the trailer is stored inside an R.V. cover. I have no idea how durable they will be after a few years.
The Curt receiver hitch is a quality item. The installation took a little longer than expected to remove & re-install the enclosed underbelly on my 5th wheel trailer. The installation of the wheel kit was simple.
2 issues with these skid rollers. First, no 5/16" washers, which in my opinion are necessary. So, go buy 16ea 5/16"washers before you start the installation. Second, unless you have a narrow tip on your grease gun, you won't be able to grease the wheel zerks, but you can grease the swivel zerk. It's too tight to get a standard grease gun tip on the wheel zerk fitting. Replacing with a 45 degree zero won't work. because there isn't enough room to screw it on. Other than these 2 issues, the wheels worked fine up and down our steep sloped driveway.
These wheels work great on our 27 foot Class C! The support braces of our trailer hitch would rub at the street when entering or exiting our driveway. We bought the skid wheels hoping they would make the transition easier. They do their job perfectly. I’ve only had them for a couple of months but they seem to hold up nicely. The only gripe I have is I wish the hardware included flat washers for both ends of the mounting bolts to make them a bit more secure. They aren’t loose or anything like that but the mounting holes are a bit large and the holes overlap some of the bolt and nut bearing areas on the mounting plate (see photos). I’m adding washers to my application.
Within 100 miles of driving, one of the two skid wheels started losing its red vinyl coating. On the other hand, it's still serving its purpose.

This could be from the wear of the wheel on the road surface, while doing its job. Good news though, this is still covered under warranty! I will send you the warranty information via email.
We've had our Class C for just over 5 months now. In CA we have a lot of steep driveway thresholds due to water runoff and it creates the kind of problem these casters were made to resolve. Standard on most of these RV's are those rudimentary "V" shaped metal skids that make the most god awful screeching sounds when you begin to bottom out your back end. In just 4 months, I managed to grind through one skid completely. And was on our 7th weekend trip. So, I did a search and trailers product came up as one of the highest rated products. I didn't hesitate and they arrived at my door 4 days later. Installation was simple but I would suggest using a deep socket due to the length of bolts and how many turns are required to cinch it up. This weekend was the first test run because I knew two spots where I was guaranteed to bottom out. Only this time no screeching, not grinding sounds. Only silence as the caster wheels did their job. PLEASE NOTE: It is important to use both zinc fittings on each assembly and inject lube on the first initial run.
Quick and easy to install. From the box to final installation, less than 20 minutes. Substantial heavy construction. I hate hearing the hitch bar on our coach scrap coming out of our sloped driveway and some gas stations. I believe this is will do the treat.
I've purchased these several times now. They are cheaply made and break every time I go up my driveway. I ended up making my own and mine haven't failed once. I guess if you're not mechanically inclined or don't own a machine shop, you would be out of luck on this purchase. Disappointed in the poor quality.
Great product, I originally bought it from my RV it worked so good I bought skid wheels for my boat trailer
One of the two broke and was replaced without question if the replacement holds 5stars
Soild well made wheels
Excellent product easy installation installed on a 2021 Sunseeker 2350 LE
Like so many others, I had a problem with occasionally scraping the road when entering or exiting steeply angled entranceways. These rotating skid wheels took care of that problem.
I installed this item onto the trailer hitch of a 31 ft. class C motor home a few months ago and have driven in and out through many driveways since then with no issues. The other day, after driving out a frequently-traveled driveway, the center of one of the wheels broke; the rim now flops on the axle. Another reviewer had the same issue. A replacement wheel is available here as part # UF48-001011 but before buying one I'm going to research other skid wheel products.

the inner wheel structure was crushed and failed. The other wheel broke too. A solid wheel would probably be better.
These skids wheels are just what I needed. With our first big toy hauler back in 2015, I had to have similar skid wheels welded on at their base plate. This style is bolt on for easy assembly with the rear frame rail. Needed both sets installed due to the creek crossing (severe incline) on the county road to get to our house here in The Texas Hill Country.
I'm giving it 4 stars because of this company's very quick service and the price was right. I got my package after only a couple of days so etrailer seems to be a good site for purchasing accessories.... My review on the product will have to wait... I got two Ultra-fab skid wheels rated for up to 26' RVs and they reamed out after only about 10 or 12 uses (my RV is 26')... I am hoping this one with a 30' rating will work and it does look sturdier... Will see...

Reamed out after ten or 15 uses...
Here are a few photos after installatio n.
Replacing one side, broke after a year. Our driveway is to blame. Would have preferred to order a single but now I have a spare.
The cheap box and poor packing was torn open and retaped prior to shipping. I recieved one wheel and no mounting plates. I spoke with Joanne at the etrailer customer service dept and she will refund my purchase.
Best skid wheel choice. The caster feature is very important. I previously had the fixed wheels and broke one when I had to make a turn into a steep driveway. The back of my motorhome is about 7 feet behind the rear wheels, so the hitch mounted wheels swing through about an 11 foot arc in a 90 degree turn. Rigidly mounted wheels cannot take the side load. Rotating wheels solve this issue .
I have not had the opportunity to test these skid wheels more than once. Therefore, not sure about their durability. I can comment on the installation process however. I took notice that there really should of been 16 washers included that would be used on the bottom bolt head and top nut head. The bolts and nuts “Surface Head” area are not large enough. As you tighten them down onto the wheel plate and support plate the pre drilled hole area are a bit too large, causing the bolt and nut head to try and pull through these holes. They did not actually pull through, but in my opinion, would have compromised the plate structure. So, I added washers thin enough not to interfere with the wheel bearing rotation at the wheel plate surface.
As for the visual strength integrity check of the wheels; I am skeptical about them being strong enough in design. Did take notice that other reviewers are kinda 50/50 on these wheels holding up.
Lastly, the ultimate wheel size should of been 5 inch opposed to 4 inch that I received, when applied to a class C or A Motorhome this would provide the extra 1/2 inch support necessary to give hitch and bumper clearance needed. As is, touch and go On my clearance.
As for ordering and shipping; no issues, product arrived on time and as per ordered.
I purchased these because my new 2018 Thor Quantum 26RS is constantly hitting bottom on the rear hitch on streets, my driveway, gas stations, just everywhere. Installation is easy and they seem well made although I've only had them a week or so they seem to do the job. At this point I have to reserve judgement on product longevity. Fender washers are required as the nut heads are small and the plate openings large which is not a good match; 8 washers/wheel are needed for a proper installation. Also, each wheel has 2 zert fittings so a grease gun is needed. Be gentle with the zerts as they snap off easily. Installation is easy; a 9/16's socket wrench along with a 9/16's box/open end wrench does the job!
I live on a hill and could not get my 5th wheel camper up our driveway until these wheels were installed on the back bumper of the camper now it goes up the driveway just fine

After a year the wheels are still in perfect shape as keeps the back of my 5th wheel trailer and ladder from dragging
