The welder that installed them for us said that they were very heavy duty and will work well. We just got back from a week camping trip, and the wheels saved us going out of a steep driveway. They work great! Highly recommend these! We have a 29’ Class C.
Replaced OEM skid plates with this skid wheel. Haven't driven yet, butso far it was an easy install and IMO much better then the OEM installed skid plate.
I purchased these about a year ago to try and get my 34 foot fifth wheel up a fairly steep incline to a pad in my backyard. I was a little apprehensive about purchasing these as I wasn't sure they would work - and I should have trusted my instincts as they didn't. I tried them out once and in the process of backing up the hill one of the weld joints did not hold and the wheel collapsed. I could then see that it wasn't going to be possible to get the RV up onto the pad so I called etrailer to see if I could at least return the wheels(which weren't damaged) and the bolts that came with them. I knew that I wouldn't be able to return the steel plates that were welded to my frame. etrailer told me that I couldn't return any of these since I had used them. So, I am now stuck with skid wheels that I have no use for. So, beware if you purchase these and try them out - you'll be stuck with them!
I bought a set of the 'dolly' wheels for use under my Class C motorhome. Utilizing the on-line instructions, the job appears to be straight forward. Hoping 'dolly' wheels will end the scraping of the rear of the camper on the pavement in front of my inclined driveway. Will be waiting for warmer weather to have mounting pads welded to the frame of the motor home.

I have been very satisfied with the skid wheels. Better to roll across the surface than to grind against the ground or concrete.
This was one of the best purchases we have made for our RV. No butt bumper dragging in dips. At one campground one guy didn't wait for us to park our RV. He asked where we got our wheels, so we told him. While there we saw many people bottom out in that dip and were confident that it didn't need to be if they had put on skid wheels.

This set of wheels was the best investment we have made so far. After a years use we dont worry about dips or uneveness in the roads or driveways. These wheels take care of all the problems that have come up so far. I HIGHLY recommend these wheels.
Unhappy with hold down, you suggest to use 21/2” u bolts but don’t supply? Only after I received product . Will not do any more business with you….

The 2.5 inch long bolts are only needed if the skid wheels are installed with the alternate bolt on method. The hardware is included for the weld on method that this is meant to be. Ultra Fab makes a bolt on application that includes 2.5 inch long bolts in part # UF48-979017.
I put these on a 33' Crusader fifth wheel to keep from ripping up the driveway every time I pull in/out.

After a year still working great!!
We have a sloped driveway and have to use boards to back up the RV, which takes time and a lot of effort. The new skid wheels that we had welded to the rv works great, no more boards. We have had a number of people (with rv’s) ask us at gas stations about them. We are very pleased with this our purchase, wished we had known about these years ago.
Giving bolt hole pattern dimensions would be helpful. Had to modify my mounting plates to attach the new wheels.
Look to be excellent quality.
Purchased these for our 33 ft travel trailer that bottomed out every time we pulled it down the driveway. We welded them to the frame towards the back and it did the trick.
I bought this item for my motorhome installed them they worked really good for the low slope on my driveway.

This product has done all it was designed to do it makes it much better to get my motorhome in and out of my driveway

This is a good product. With some minor adjustments I was able to make it work well. I was disappointed that the plates were rusty. It appears that the package had been opened, left out and then returned. Otherwise, good.

HI Timothy, Thanks for your feedback! These wheels are not meant to be load bearing. They are specifically for keeping the back of the trailer from bottoming out, saving the bumper.
