Video Transcript for Patrick Distribution RV Sinks - Kitchen Sink - 277-000077 Review

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Mr. Direct Offset Double-Bowl Stainless Steel RV Kitchen Sink. This is an under-mount sink that's constructed from 304-grade stainless steel. It's going to be gauge 18. The surface is going to feature a brushed satin finish, which is going to help hide small scratches that occur over time. This does require a 33 inch minimum cabinet size.

The sink is fully insulated, as you can see here. Then, on the underside, it's got those pads on there. Those are going to be the sound dampening pads. They are included and they're already installed. The unit's also going to come with a cardboard cutout template, as well as your installation hardware. Here in a moment, I'll go ahead and go over detail when it comes to the installation hardware, but it does come with the hardware needed for installation.

Then, this is going to be the cardboard cutout template that's included. The template has guidelines around the edges for a flush, under-mount option, or for a quarter inch reveal under-mount option. It's got all the instructions for the installation printed directly on that piece of cardboard. The product is covered under a limited lifetime warranty for as long as you own the sink. A few measurements that we need to go over real quick. The diameter, here, of the drain holes.

These are going to be 3 and 1/2 inches in diameter. They're both going to be the same on each side. When we look at the overall length, measuring from edge to edge, we're looking at 31 and 5/8ths of an inch. If we take a look at the overall width of the large sink, that's going to give a measurement, that looks to be 20 and 5/8ths. Here at the smaller sink, that's going to give us 18 and 1/8 inches.

When it comes to the depth of the large sink, what I'm doing is I'm measuring from that drain hole, all the way out to the opening here. That's going to be about 9 and 1/4 inches. Then, for this one, for the smaller one, it's a little bit shorter, not as much depth. That's going to be right on 7 inches. I also want to take a look at the opening size for each sink. For the large sink, going this direction, we're looking at 17 and 5/8ths. Then, going front to back, we are looking, just the opening, about 18 and 1/2. Here, for the smaller one, going side to side, that's going to give us an opening size of 10 and 3/8ths. Then, front to back, we're looking at about 15 and 7/8ths of an inch. There's going to be a 1 inch lip that goes around the entire perimeter of the sink. Now, I do want to talk about the mounting hardware. Again, this is an under-mount sink. What happens is you're going to need to drill holes on the underside of your counter top. Then, it's got this threaded portion that goes up in the hole. It kind of jams in there. It's going to require a hole diameter of 7/16ths of an inch to get this in there. Then, you're going to have this threaded connector that pushes into those holes. That's going to provide the attachment points for the screws. Then, you're going to have this fastener that has kind of the raised lips on each side. One side is going to grab underneath the counter top, the other side is going to grab underneath the sink. You would line that up directly under the threaded portion that goes into the underside of the counter top. Then, the unit would assemble together fully by tightening the screw up through that hole into the threaded portion. Basically, what that does is it squeezes the sink to the underside of the counter top. Then, the hardware kit's going to come with 8 sets of these. You're going to get 8 total sets. That way, you can work the hardware around the perimeter of the sink for a nice, tight, secure fit. That's going to do it for today's look at the Mr. Direct Offset Double-Bowl Stainless Steel RV Kitchen Sink.

  • Recommended Stainless Steel Replacement for Offset Kitchen Sink
As you mentioned in your question, most of our double sinks have a standard rectangular design that don't quite match the offset shape of your existing unit. The closest stainless steel options we have to something like this is with the Patrick Distribution Offset Double Bowl Sink # 277-000077 or the Better Bath Double Bowl # LC388415, both of which feature the wider cutout on the larger side of the sink. Either option will likely require some cutting though on the counter top, as we...
