Video Transcript for Ultimate Overview of the Phoenix Faucets Catalina RV Outdoor Shower Box

Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and today we're taking a look at the Phoenix Faucets Catalina RV outdoor shower box. This is available in both black and white. They're exactly the same in every other respect. Just wanted to show you both of them so you can see the difference between the two. If we open them up, you can see on the inside we'll have our handheld shower, the faucet and vacuum breaker and all that good stuff to get hosed off before we get into the RV.

A lot of times, we're going to be out enjoying nature and enjoying going through the woods. So, might be a little dirty. You don't want to track that into the camper or your RV, so this is going to let you shower off before you actually get inside.As you can see again on the inside here, same thing for the white one. We'll have our handheld shower and the faucet to control our hot and cold water. There's also a little holder, so you can set that handheld shower in place and have a hands-free shower.

Not that you're going to really be taking your daily shower with this. Typically it's going to be mounted kind of lower on your RV than most people would be able to fit under, but it at least gives you that option to set the shower head somewhere so that you can still utilize it. The hose kind of wants to sit in a spot where it's not letting me lock that up, but got it going now. So, let's take a little closer look on the inside of this one.Again, our shower head is here. This does have an override, so if we want to cut off the water without actually turning that off from the faucet, you can just push this to the side and that will allow you to do that there.

It'll shut off the water. Same thing on the other side, if it's in the center, that's going to have the flow that the flow will be on. That helps to conserve our water, which of course is precious on our camping or on our RV. We only have so much we can carry with us, so it's good to conserve that. And again, going to set the shower head in the slot there to hold it upright so we can do our thing, get cleaned up.

There's also a little second hole as well, so you can adjust the angle a little bit. There's probably enough space where you can fit in maybe a travel size soap or something like that to have on hand whenever you go to use this.As far as the overall size, the outside is going to measure 13 and three eighths inches by eight and three eighths inches. The cutout dimensions, if you look at it from the back, that's going to be 11 by six inches. The hose length is 60 inches, or five feet, and the flow rate for the shower is 2.5 gallons per minute. Again, that's going to help to keep our water from flowing out too quickly and us wasting it on the outside. All in all, I think this is going to be a really nice addition to the outside of your RV. The case for both the black and white have a UV stabilized fade resistant DURAPRO polymer plastic. So, nice and durable. Shouldn't fade on you, shouldn't crack or get brittle in the sun. The recessed mount makes this pretty nice and innocuous on the outside of your RV, so you really only have this much actually sticking out of the surface. So, it should be a good addition there.If you need any other accessories, there are a couple of things that you probably want to pick up to go with this. It does not come with any mounting hardware, and I would also get some silicone sealant and butyl tape to seal up around the outside of this, to make sure that there's no ingress of water and debris into the back of the box. We do have those available. They are related parts on the product page, so check those out. Get everything you need while you're here, so you don't have to run to the store to get anything else.
