The vacuum breaker lets you attach a handheld shower set (sold separately) to make cleaning mud and sand off the kids, pets, and shower walls even easier. The vacuum breaker also has an anti-siphon device - a small air hole that drains water back out of the hose to prevent your dirty shower water from contaminating your clean water supply.
To install, use the inlet shanks to drop the new valve and deck plate in place of your existing valve. Then hand-tighten the included mounting nuts against the back of the wall, and connect the hot and cold water lines. You'll need to keep some tub and tile caulk (not included) on hand to help prevent any leaking.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Phoenix Faucets 4-inch Dual Handle RV Shower Valve. This unit adds or replaces a shower valve in your RV. It's going to finish the dual teacup handles that give the unit a really nice look. It's also going to feature a vacuum breaker. This is an outlet that's designed for attaching a hand held shower. Now, hand held showers are not included, but the unit is designed to prevent water back flow, which helps prevent contamination of your fresh water supply.The unit's made from a durable plastic construction in the base.
The handles are going to feature a rubbed, bronze finish. The mounting area does require two holes for an installation. These are going to be the connection points for the hot and cold water lines. They're going to be separated on center by 4 inches. They're going to give us a length measurement of about an inch and half long. Outer diameter on those connectors is about 13/16 of an inch.
Inner diameter is a 1/2 inch. The shower hose connector, that's going to have an outer diameter of 13/16 of an inch. Taking a look at the overall dimensions, just measuring the base, that's going to be about 2 1/8 of an inch. Length of the unit looks to be just over 6 inches, maybe 6 1/4, right in that area. The distance from the back of the base to the furthest out point of the handles is going to be about 3 3/4 of an inch. Installation's pretty simple.
It does come with the backing plate, threaded connectors, and the nuts as well as a rubber washer for each side. It's going to include your detailed installation instructions. These are going to walk you through the installation process step by step. You'll notice in the instructions it's going to indicated that you need two mount holes for installation. The mount holes need to have a diameter of one inch.
They're going to sit about 45 to 48 inches above the floor line. Shows you how to install it, how to use the backing plate, how to connect the water lines. On this side, it's going to go over some operating instructions, cleaning tips, some cautionary elements, and some helpful hints. The main reason I went with this one is; "Washerless design reduces friction and daily wear for long-lasting durability."
The Dura product started leaking after less than 2 years. From a physical standpoint the Phoenix looks like a cheaper product.
I would have not made the purchase except for the great customer service I got from "Olivia M." at etrailer's 800 number.
Most of the reviews on here seem to refer to "similar item" rather than the item you are viewing.
Like other reviewers, I wish products made for RV's were of better quality! I'll have to see how this product holds up over the next few years.

Really the faucet was installed last May. The RV has not had water to it. So have never tested the faucet. It was part of on going refurbishing of a 22 year old Class B+ RV that I bought a year ago. Also part of this work we've ordered and installed from e-trailer your Dometic 310 toilet, a MaxAir Fan, & other items all installed but some untested. The fan works great. The toilet seems to as we made sure the black and grey tanks were cleaned out well by pouring water down the drains and toilet. We will repeat this spring when it comes out of winter storage. The fresh water tank was removed to repair water damage below it and in the wall it blocked both. We also had to sanitize the tank due to mold entering it where previous owners allowed the air intake hose to flap about un-attached causing the leaks and water damage to the floor. We know the Ford Engine is in decent condition but due to so much unexpected work we are behind a good year getting Miss Mini Mo on the road and fully activated. She's come a long ways & with your help with parts like this. Which btw was almost identical to the one removed. We'll treat her with far more respect than the previous owners have. Thanks e-trailer no doubt we'll be back for more STUFF once we bring her out of winter storage.
Faucet is just what I needed. It was easy ti install and works great. Will use etrailer.com for my goto for parts in the future.
It is a lot easier to use if you have arthritic hands as I do. Works great.

I replaced the faucet in my 2014 Skyline SkyCat with this faucet. Two great features here: 1) The best feature is the attachment point for the shower hose. This one is on top of the faucet instead of underneath it. When you shut off the water it all drains down and out of the hose, making winterization a breeze. I don't have to detach the hose to drain it. 2) Since the shower hose attaches at the top, it will effectively be a little bit longer which is nice for taller people.
I installed the new faucet and within 6mths the hot water side started stripping out. You have to put front pressure on it to get it to turn on or off.
We recieved this product yesterday and just installed it. I cannot comment on its longevity due to that, but after using it, I gotta say it is a definite improvement to the factory install in our camper, both in looks AND function. Also, we upgraded our shower head to Oxygenics Body Spa and the brushed nickel of this faucet matches the brushed nickel shower head PERFECTLY! Very happy with this.
It gave a updated look to my shower stall. My guess compliment on it’s modern appearance.
I love, love, love the look of this shower faucet. You need to buy a separate shower head and hose kit. It really updates the look of our shower! It did take some work to install and a trip to a local RV store, but looks amazing and works great!
