Vacuum Breaker Outlet
The vacuum breaker lets you attach a handheld shower set (sold separately) to make cleaning mud and sand off the kids, pets, and shower walls even easier. The vacuum breaker also has an anti-siphon device - a small air hole that drains water back out of the hose to prevent your dirty shower water from contaminating your clean water supply.
2-Hole Installation
Using the standard NPSM inlet shanks, slide the new valve and deck plate in place through the already existing mounting holes. Hand-tighten the included mounting nuts against the backside of the wall, and connect the hot and cold water lines. The use of tub and tile caulk (not included) is required.

Today we're gonna take a look at the Phoenix Faucets Catalina RV shower valve with the dual lever handles in a brush nickel finish. Now this Catalina series shower valve will let you upgrade your bathroom shower valve in your RV or camper. This one you notice at the bottom uses a vacuum breaker which allows you to attach a handheld shower set to this. The handheld shower sets we do sell separately on our website. Once you attach that, this vacuum breaker will prevent the backflow contamination of your clean water supply. Notice it is a dual handle design with the leather style handles.
They do use a quarter turn cartridge stem which enables the faucet to fully turn on and off at a quarter of a turn so you can see on and off at just a quarter of a turn. Does use a washerless design, helps reduce friction and daily wear for long lasting durability. The whole faucet itself is a non-metallic ABS plastic construction. The back here is a one piece spin welded palm underbody with inlet shanks.The finish on this is a nice brush nickel finish. It is a wall mount design two hole installation.
The inlet shanks here have your standard male NPSM connections. Does include the deck plate. Two mounting nuts and the rubber washers are all included for installation. Now in your instructions they do require tile and tub caulk. That was not included.
Few specs on this faucet. The flow rate is 2.5 gallons per minute. Give you a few measurements on this. We're gonna measure overall width with the handles in this position. So end to end is gonna be right at nine and a half inches wide.
We turn them a quarter of a turn down. We'll give you the height of it from the tip of the handle to the top of the base. That's gonna be right at three and three quarter inches tall and of the depth of it from the front of the handle to the back of the base that way is gonna be right at three and a quarter inches deep.Now the dimensions on the base itself end to end you're looking right at six and a quarter inches wide by two and one eighths inches deep and these inlet shanks, the distance on those is a standard center to center measurement of four inches and the length on the shanks is right at one and a half inches long, but that should do it for the review on the Phoenix Faucets Catalina RV shower valve with the dual lever handles in the brush nickel finish.

We recieved this product yesterday and just installed it. I cannot comment on its longevity due to that, but after using it, I gotta say it is a definite improvement to the factory install in our camper, both in looks AND function. Also, we upgraded our shower head to Oxygenics Body Spa and the brushed nickel of this faucet matches the brushed nickel shower head PERFECTLY! Very happy with this.

This faucet worked out perfect for us. We were living full time in this camper after replacing this faucet and it never failed us. The way it mixes the hot and cold water was predictable and reliable. After 9onths of living in the camper, a tree fell on it and totalled it. This faucet worked great all 9 months with us utilizing the shower ~4xday. Would definitely purchase again if replacing an ugly or broken faucet in another camper.

The cold water knob on the shower faucet in my travel trailer failed and was unusable. No one locally had a correct replacement with a vacuum breaker. I love, love, love the look of this shower faucet. You need to buy a separate shower head and hose kit. It really updates the look of our shower! It did take some work to install and a trip to a local RV store, but looks amazing and works great!

This brass faucet assembly was a very nice upgrade for the outdoor shower on our Viking tent trailer. The original cracked with an earlier than expected overnight freeze (17°) in Denver. With brass valves instead of plastic, the coupler assembly is sturdier, and the valves perform very smoothly. We replaced the hose with a longer stainless steel and a Fury showerhead to complete a nice upgrade. I highly recommend this item for inside or outside the trailer.

A year later, the shower faucet has performed as expectedterrific! We camped above Tucson in October, and a sudden cold wave had other campers scrambling, but our outdoor shower faucet was never in doubt.
