Specs:
The vacuum breaker lets you attach a handheld shower set (sold separately) to make cleaning mud and sand off the kids, pets, and shower walls even easier. The vacuum breaker also has an anti-siphon device - a small air hole that drains water back out of the hose to prevent your dirty shower water from contaminating your clean water supply.
To install, use the inlet shanks to drop the new valve and deck plate in place of your existing valve. Then hand-tighten the included mounting nuts against the back of the wall, and connect the hot and cold water lines. You'll need to keep some tub and tile caulk (not included) on hand to help prevent any leaking.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Phoenix Faucets 4" dual handle RV shower valve with vacuum breaker. This unit's going to add or replace a shower valve in your RV shower. It's going to the feature the dual white lever handles, that gives the unit a really nice look. You can see that it has the indications on there: we have hot and cold, H and C. The unit's going to feature a washerless cartridge design. It does come with installation instructions. The vacuum breaker outlet is right here, that's for attaching a handheld shower.
Your handheld shower is not included. The unit's also designed to prevent water backflow by using a check valve that's built into the vacuum breaker. The unit's a non-metallic one piece body. I's made from a very strong and durable plastic construction that's white in color. The mounting area does require two holes for your installation. These connectors right here are separated on center by 4".
I'll go ahead and take off the mounting up there. These are going to give us a length measurement of about 1-1/2" long. They're going to give us an outer diameter of 13/16", with an inner diameter of 1/2". The outlet right here also has an outer diameter of 13/16". It's a very simple installation.
You want to make sure that the mounting holes are at the mounting location for installation. They need to have a diameter of about 1". It's going to come with a backing plate right here as well, you have those holes out. Again, installation instructions are included. Place this through.
The mounting nuts will then get secured onto those threaded posts, you tighten everything down to the mounting surface. Make sure it's all secure and then you can connect your water lines. To take a look at the overall dimensions real quick, measuring just that mounting body area, that mounting base, we're looking at about 2-1/8" tall. Edge to edge, the unit is going to give us a measurement of right around 6-1/8" to 6-1/4", right in that area. Then the depth from the mounting area to the outer most point of the handles, that's going to give us a measurement of pretty close to 3", maybe just over, 3-1/8", right in that area. That's going to do it for today's look at the Phoenix Faucets 4" dual handle RV shower valve with the included outlet vacuum breaker.
