When you're in the shower and hear someone flush the toilet or turn on the bathroom sink, an all-too familiar feeling of dread washes over you followed shortly by a sudden burst of hot water scalding your back. The spring-loaded, anti-scald temperature control valve of this assembly balances the pressure between hot and cold water to prevent the water from getting too hot so you can actually enjoy your shower and not get burned. This feature is especially great for kids, the elderly, and anyone else with sensitive skin.
First assemble the handle fixture and the shower head. Then slide the handle and the spout of the new setup through the mounting holes of your existing setup. To finish, connect the hot and cold water lines, and install the shower head onto your shower supply line. You'll need to keep some tub and tile caulk (not included) on hand to help prevent any leaking.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're taking a look at this Empire Faucets Brushed Nickel RV Tub and Shower Diverter with Shower Head Kit. Will upgrade your bathroom in your RV or your camper or your mobile home with this anti-scald temperature control tub faucet and shower set. This features a brushed nickel finish with a single blade style handle as you can see here, and the washerless ceramic cartridge reduces friction for a long life and it's maintenance-free, and the disc cartridge creates a watertight seal when the faucet is turned off. Now, the spring loaded anti-scald temperature balancing mechanism prevents burns, and then on the spout here, lifting this diverter pin is going to activate your shower. Now, this is made out of a durable hybrid construction, this spout is metal and the shower arm is metal and the handle and the escutcheon are metal. The plastic elements are going to be your shower head and your flange, those are made out of an ABS plastic, and then the valve on the back is brass.
Now, the diameter of the escutcheon is gonna be sitting right at 6 1/2 inches in diameter, and then the length of the spout from having it mounted to the wall, the overall length is gonna be sitting right at 5 3/8 inches long, and then the shower arm and head, measuring from, again, where you have it mounted to the wall all the way down to the tip of the shower head, you're gonna be sitting right at nine inches long. Now, the flow rate is gonna be 2.5 gallons per minute, and it includes everything that you see here. And again, this is a brushed nickel finish, and if you are not interested in a brushed nickel finish, but you're looking for maybe a chrome finish, we do have this available in chrome, you can find that on our website, item number EM55HR.
