Pull Cable for Easy Dumping

This cable-actuated RV waste tank valve has a 36" long cable, allowing you to easily open and close the valve even when it is positioned in a hard-to-reach location. Simply install the valve between your RV's sewer pipes and mount the handle on the end of the cable in a convenient, easy-to-access place.

Pulling Valve Cable and Black Handle

When you're ready to dump your black-water tank, just pull the handle to open the valve. And when you're finished dumping, just push the handle back in to close the valve. No need to crawl under your RV to access the valve itself.

Replacing Your RV Waste Valve

Before getting started on the installation, you'll want to empty your RV's black-water tank and flush out the sewer pipes. This will help to ensure that your working environment is as clean as possible.

This waste valve is designed to replace your existing valve, which should have a hub end and a spigot end. After removing the old valve and flanges, lightly coat the outside of the new valve's spigot and the inside of its hub with ABS solvent cement (sold separately). Do the same with the open ends of your RV's sewer pipe. Then, insert the smaller spigot end of the valve into your 3" pipe, and slide the larger hub end over the pipe on the opposite side.

Video Transcript for Review of LaSalle Bristol RV Sewer - Waste Valves - 34466N4AB36GM

Today we're taking a look at the LaSalle Bristol Cable Actuated RV Waste Valve, for Black Water tanks. Now this waste valve assembly allows waste water to travel from your tank when the valve is in the open position. It has 36 inch long cable that allows the valve to be placed in a secure location or hard to reach spot. Then it has an easy to grip handle on the end of the cable that can be mounted in a convenient location, so you can easily open or close the valve without crawling under your RV. If you can see in the valve there when I operate the handle it controls the gate right there on the valve. It's nice and easy to use, doesn't take much effort at all.

The cable is lubricated for smooth, effortless movement. Also, the valve seals are lubricated to resist leaking. It features the nonstick coating to keep the sewage off of the seals, and you won't have to worry about drying or cracking like with the non lubricated rubber seals. The valve body is a sturdy plastic construction to resist water damage. It does have a thick steel cable, it's very durable and long lasting and it has that protective coating which limits the corrosion. It's a simple installation, the hub end fits over your sewer pipe.

The spigot end slides into your sewer pipe. Now you will need to use some AVS solvent cement to get it installed and to get it nice and secure. That's sold separately, available at etrailer.com. This unit is NSF approved, it's made in the USA. It's designed for three inch diameter Black Water Sewer Pipe.

Again, the cable length is 36 inches. Comes with the hardware on there, and the stem right here is a steel construction and you get a nut, a washer, and then another nut. That way you can get it easily installed. When it comes to the actual valve body, pretty standard. The measurement we get here on the spigot end, outer edge to outer edge, is about three and a half inches. The hub end, inside edge to inside edge, is about three and a half inches.

If we take a measurement from the top of this portion to the bottom, we can see that is gonna give us a measurement of around, pretty close to 14 inches. That's gonna do it for today's look at the LaSalle Bristol Cable Actuated RV Waste Valve, for Black Water tanks.

This is the OEM drop in replacement for my 2017 Grand Design Imagine 2600rb trailer. It comes with fittings to glue onto your pipes; I removed and discarded them; the flanges on the trailers piping exactly match this valve. I did find the screws that come with it are too short. They are 1/4 x 20 x 1.5" long. You need at least 2" screws and 2.25" would be best. I tried replacing this valve (due to me damaging it) with the Valterra valve (less $$) as I thought I could cut that cable to exact length thus making the pull smoother. That did not work out. I cannot get the allen set screw to hold the cable tight enough. So I am back to OEM as this cable does NOT separate from valve and the 36" cable is pretty much the exact length I need anyway. As a tip, replace this at same time as other valves so you can loosen all valves and it gives just enough slack in pipe to move out of the way and slide the new one in. 614442

Do you have a question about this RV Sewer?

  • What is Shortest Cable Length for RV Sewer Dump Valve
  • The shortest cable length for the RV dump valves is 36 inches like the part # 34466N4AB36GM you referenced. You can loop the cable to take up the extra slack and it will work fine. The bigger the loop you can make the better as that will allow the cable to slide the easiest. We do have an electric version of this with the part # E40-8 as well.

  • Is There a Specific Length of Cable Needed For Spigot to Hub Black Water Valve
  • There actually isn't any way for us to know what length of cable you need when replacing the black water valve on your 2018 Montana Legacy 3130RE so you would need to either take some measurements or make an educated guess. The good news is there are plenty of options for length: - LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve for Black Water Tank - Spigot to Hub - 36" Cable # 34466N4AB36GM - 48" Cable # 34466N4AB48GMA - 72" Cable # 34466N4AB72GMA - 96" Cable # 34466N4AB96GMA - 120"...

  • Availability of LaSalle Bristol Waste Valve with Near 9 Foot Long Cable
  • LaSalle Bristol makes a waste valve similar to the # 34466N4AB36GM which has a 120 inch long cable as part number # 34466N4AB120GM. 120 inches is 10 feet which is as close as we can get to the size you are looking for. The measurement is from the base of the valve to the end of the black outside tubing.

  • Installation of LaSalle Bristol 34466N4AB36GM Cable Actuated RV Waste Valve On RV
  • If the current valve you're using can be disassembled so that the flanges can be removed from the valve body, you'll have a pretty easy install. Remove the 4 bolts holding the existing flanges to he valve body you're wanting to replace then slide out the valve body. Remove the flanges from the new valve and slide in the new valve. Then bolt hole spacing is an industry standard, so as long as the old valve has the 4 bolts that allow you to remove the flanges, you should be good to go. If...
