What's up everybody, it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this seal, for your dump station from Valterra. It's gonna be a soft seal. That way you can put this in the pipe, that is the dump station, and it's gonna make that sealed up connection. That way you're not gonna get any odors, or anything coming outta there. Where you're gonna empty the tank.
Let's check it out. Now we're ready to get this installed. So, what we're gonna do, is push this down in the dump station pipe here, and get that set up, and not only is this is gonna make things easier on you to keep that odor, and just help seal it up, but sometimes it's required at RV parks, to have this part, to push down in there. So, just kind of work it down in there. So, that the seal gets down in that pipe.
They'll seal it up, and it's going to work with pipes, of four and a half diameter. So, just keep that in mind too. So, once I get that started and pushed down in there, we can come back, and add the end of our hose. Well right there at that lip, is where we wanna be, and you're done. Overall, it really is that easy to use.
It's going to help you out in the long run, and like I said, it's an easy part to do. Just put it down in that pipe, and it just seals that around there. Cause if it wasn't there, that odor would be coming up, and it'd be smelly while you're doing it, and that just, the less of that the better, when it's time to dump the tank. That about does it. Fits up to a 4-1/2" sewer hook-up.Just recently ran into this item being useful and sometimes required at campsites you pay for. We live in an area where many campsites are without utilities and so no sewer hoses etc. to mess with. I'm new to RV's of any kind and my 2001 Class B+ is the first one I've ever owned. Learning curve is steep. But getting there thanks to Etrailer's help too.

One of those "gotta haves" for RV park use. etrailer has it!! Now I have one to replace the one I left behind in the Keys. I am certainly not going 250 miles to recover the one left behind.
good connection to black tank dump , eliminates having to hold it down or use a rock. Thoroughly eliminates leakage.
I needed this for end of my sewage line to seal septic system at camp grounds. Fit on end of my sewage hose. Have not camped at a camp grounds since I bought it but should do the job as it was intended to do. Thanks

I have only used once to date. That was to flush the sewer tanks black and grey that share the same dump line. All went well. My first time using and so therefore my only time too. Husband helped out while I ran a hose down the toilet to keep flushing the sewer tank better. This soft sewer gasket seem to help a lot to keep the line in place. I also bought the same brand of sewer hose to replace bad leaky under 10 foot hose that was full of webs too. Not sure when it may have been used. The RV had signs of severe neglect however looked great when we picked it up and not until we got it home 550 miles later that the real issues came to light. Etrailer has helped a lot in new parts and tools. Maxair fans and bathroom faucets too.
