Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the LaSalle Bristol P-Trap Fitting for your sewer system. This is a standard P-trap, so it's going to allow you to have a little bit of water down here so that the gases from your sewer system don't back up and create foul smells and potentially dangerous situations inside your RV. It is going to work with your one and a half inch diameter pipes on both sides. It will install under your sink, or shower, or bathtub, anywhere that you need.
That P-trap there is going to have a union joint here in the middle that will allow us to adjust the direction of the pipes to accommodate whatever spacing we have. When we have it up the angle that we need it, just simply tighten that back down and it will be ready to be installed.It's going to be very simple to get this installed. We just simply slide this hub up into our sewer system pipes. You will need some ABS cement to make sure that there's no leaks or anything in there. I would recommend the one that you see on the screen there.
You can find it here at etrailer.com using the part number that's on the screen. Just put a little bit around here before you make that connection. That's going to make sure that there's a nice tight seal there and no leaks or anything. Obviously, when we're dealing with our sewer system, we do not want leaks, so having that ABS cement is going to be an important feature.This is an ABS construction, so it's going to be nice and sturdy and we're not going to have to worry about it breaking down or anything. It's going to be a high quality component for us.
So overall, I think this is going to be a great option for those of you who are needing to replace your P-trap or you're doing some new piping or something and you need to add one in, this is going to be a great option.
