Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the evacuation drain port. So this is going to help you to drain out your sink or your bathroom drain or your shower directly to the exterior of your RV so you can get everything drained out that way. And this will work with a hose or vinyl tubing so you can run it to a specific area rather than it just coming straight out of your RV. But it's just going to be this little plastic port, comes with a cap and a tether so you can mount that and not lose the cap anytime you take it off. It's going to be pretty easy to use.
So they just have this little cap going over there, drains out of the front there, and then we'll also have a barbed end on the inside so we can connect to our plastic tubing. The exterior will work with any kind of half inch water hose. And as I mentioned, this tether, it comes with the end put on that little post. You can take this off. And if it we're me, I would mount it behind one of the mounting screws either on the top there or behind it, although that might push your top here out a little bit, so mount it there to keep it nice and flush and that way that tether stays with your ports. You're not having to keep track of this cap, just stays with it.The outside diameter for this flange is about two and a half inches side to side.
The distance between the mounting holes is about one and seven eighths of an inch, center to center. The cap is about one and a half inches for the outside and then the exterior for our port here about three quarters, so three quarter inch tubing should work just fine with that. And then again this side is going to work with a half inch water hose. The length going on the inside is about two and an eighth inch going back, and then coming out of the front whenever it's tightened all the way down about an inch and a quarter. That's going to do it for our look at the exterior evacuation drain port.
I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is going to be the right piece for you and thanks for watching. We'll see you next time.
