Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this butyl tape for your RV roof seam repairs. This is a two-sided butyl strip, and is going to allow you to make repairs to your RV's roof on the seams to make sure that those are going to be waterproof and sealed. And this is going to work for a variety of roofing materials, including your EPDM roofs, your TPO, as well as your Hypalon, and modified asphalt, as well as the metal roofs. It can also work on your gutters and flashings, just to make sure that everything is going to be nice and secured.
This is going to be very simple to get installed. So you just pull out for length that you need. Put that sticky side down with the backing on there. Use a roller or something to make sure that that is nice and adhered to your one surface. And then you'll pull the backing off, and then flip your other surface over to make that a nice seam there for your splicing maneuvers. And then it's going to do a good job of keeping that seam nice and tight and waterproof sealed up, so that you don't have to worry about any leaks or anything causing mold, and that sort of damage to your RV.
This is a black color, as you can see, but as you are putting that second layer over top, you probably won't see that at all. This is made here in the USA, so you can trust it's made to the same high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US. This is three inches wide, and you're going to get about 25 feet of length. So it should do a good job covering the whole surface of your RV roof, depending on how many seams you have and how long your RV is. But this is going to be a great option for you, if you're wanting to make those repairs yourself. This will hold up.
It'd be very durable and long lasting for you to make sure that the seams, again, are going to be water tight, so you don't have to worry about leaks. That's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
