Replace or upgrade the roof membrane (sold separately) of your RV with this roof installation kit. Includes 2 rolls of butyl tape, 4 tubes of non-sag sealant, and 8 tubes of self-leveling sealant for strong adhesion to your RV rooftop.
Features:
If you already have a membrane for your RV roof, and the adhesive necessary to go with it, this kit includes everything else you need for a strong adhesion between membrane and rooftop. The butyl tape and sealants work with all surfaces, helping you not only to place the roofing membrane, but all of your rooftop accessories as well. The butyl tape remains flexible for years, and it only gets stronger with time. The sealants work on both vertical and horizontal surfaces, making it easy to replace your roof accessories without dripping sealant all over your RV.

Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the LaSalle Bristol RV roof replacement kit in white. That's right, folks, if you're on this page watching this video, I'm sorry, because unfortunately you have a daunting task in front of you as far as you gotta get up there and fix or replace your roof membrane, most likely. So don't worry, it's not too bad. Just take your time and it's gonna take some time, maybe even a second person to help you, but you can totally do it yourself if you so choose. That being said, today, you're getting just the butyl tapes and the self-leveling sealant and the non-sag sealants.
So if you need that roof membrane, it is sold separately here at etrailer.com. We've got that in different lengths, widths, so check that out separately. Now, these components do work with all surfaces. You have the preformed synthetic polymer butyl tape that's gonna hold the rooftop accessories firmly in place. So after you've done your roof membrane and you get your cutouts through your AC and your vent and those kind of things, this butyl tape is gonna act as a gasket, if you will.
It's like a putty substance. It's kind of squishy, and it's gonna go underneath all those vents and AC. And then your screws are gonna go down through the butyl tape, through the frame of those accessories, and that's gonna give you that nice watertight seal. And then after that, you're gonna have the self-leveling sealant and that kind of stuff. And the non-sag is gonna be for roofs that install over the side of the RV.
You're gonna get four tubes of the white non-sag, that's the blue label here, and you're gonna get eight tubes of the self-leveling, that's the yellow label over here. As far as the butyl tape, one roll is 45 feet, the other roll is 60 feet, and everything here is paintable. It's white, it's weather resistant. They are gonna require no primer whatsoever. And again, we do have some videos here you can watch separately at etrailer.com on different pages, I believe, with the roof membrane pages to be able to see how we've done a couple installs on this, and I did speak to some of those installers about this kind of task.
And like I said earlier, it's a daunting task as far as the time it takes. But if you just take your time, you should be able to do it. Just keep in mind, no one's gonna see the top of your RV. So if you're laying out that roof membrane and you end up with a couple of, I don't know, creases or rough spots as far as like bumps and whatnot, don't, you know, don't get too mad at yourself. Again, as long as it's watertight, that's the main important thing. So again, check out the videos. This again is our look at the LaSalle Bristol RV roof replacement kit in white. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.

Replace or upgrade the roof membrane (sold separately) of your RV with this roof installation kit. Includes 2 rolls of butyl tape, 4 tubes of non-sag sealant, and 8 tubes of self-leveling sealant for strong adhesion to your RV rooftop.Butyl tape backing is not a fan of high temps. Found that a 15 minute rest in the freezer resolved the issue of sticking to the tape. Needed more tape than amount in the kit.
Ended up needing more self leveling for a full roof repair on our 38ft trailer. They work well though!
My initial order, when received, was in error. But an email, to them, advising of the issue, and it was resolved immediately and with minimal delay to my project.
