Specs:
Combining an inverter, converter charger, and transfer switch, the Go Power IC Series 3,000-watt inverter charger puts three essential RV functions into one unit. The compact size takes up less space in your RV and simplifies installation. It lets you convert AC shore power into DC power to charge your batteries, inverts your DC battery output into AC power to power electronics and appliances, and automatically transfers to shore power when available.
The pure sine wave inverter changes DC output from your RV batteries into AC power and sends it to the electrical system. It creates clean power with low distortion, making it safe, efficient, and perfect for sensitive electronics like computers. Plus, the inverter can generate 4,800 starting watts and 3,000 running watts which is a great fit for larger appliances or multiple devices.
The smart converter charger converts AC shore power into DC power to charge your battery bank. If your RV already has a stock converter charger, it will need to be removed to ensure this part of the unit operates properly.
Using a multistage charging system, the converter charger automatically switches voltages while the battery bank charges. This accelerates the charge, but also helps extend battery life by adjusting the voltage during the different modes. It is compatible with sealed/gel, AGM, flooded/wet cell, and lithium batteries. And with the included fixed-mount remote, you can select charging profiles for the different battery types.
The integrated transfer switch selects the primary source of AC current. The switch inside of this inverter charger has been pre-wired to automatically change from inverter to shore power to conserve battery life. This switch includes (2) 50-amp legs, which allows you to use up to 100 amps by passing through 12,000 watts on a shore power service. The legs are rated at 120V each, but they can be used as a 240V split-phase or 240V dual input if needed. This would be useful if your RV has larger appliances, such as a clothes dryer or oven range. However, if you plan on using an on-board generator and shore power, you still need an external transfer switch to link power to the inverter charger. If you are just utilizing shore power, you only need this unit since you are switching between two sources.
To prevent electrical interruptions, the time delay circuit board allows the alternate power source to stabilize before a transfer occurs. Additionally, since the switch only accepts one active source, it protects your electrical system from dangerous backfeed that can damage your equipment.
The included fixed-mount remote lets you monitor and control the inverter charger from inside your RV. It includes a digital display that shows the voltage, output power, status, temperature, and charging activity. You can also customize settings like your battery profile, charge rate, and more. And it has a power button that lets you turn the inverter charger on and off.
The inverter charger includes AC input and output terminals that connect to your AC panel and shore power input. It has DC input terminals which connect to your batteries. Additionally, it has ports for the fixed-mount remote and battery sensor. It also has 2 LEDs that show fault conditions and operation mode. Lastly, it has a power switch that controls the inverter charger.
The system includes a number of safety features. It offers protection from over/under voltage and overloading. The inverter also uses a heat sink process to protect from extreme temperatures, and an internal cooling fan removes excess heat from the unit.
For additional safety, installing a fuse between the battery bank and the inverter charger will protect your equipment from power surges. The Go Power 400-amp fuse block (sold separately) works with this unit and uses a slow blow time-delay feature to withstand surge current. This means it can handle short surges over 400 amps without blowing the fuse, which is great for devices with motors that require more energy to start.
The battery temperature sensor protects the battery bank from large temperature fluctuations. As the inverter charger experiences changes in temperature, the sensor compensates for those changes by adjusting the voltage during charging to help extend the life of your batteries. This protects from overcharging in hot temperatures and undercharging in cold temperatures. The voltage adjustments also ensure that you are getting the most from your charge.
The inverter charger mounts inside your RV in a dry location with ventilation. It should be installed in close proximity to the battery bank, but not in the same compartment. The DC terminals are wired to the battery bank. There are several ways to connect the inverter section to your RV's electrical system, but this will depend on your rig and how you want to use your inverter. Also, the temperature sensor installs to the negative battery terminal and plugs in the battery temperature port on the inverter charger.

Includes fixed-mount remote. This inverter was exactly what the customer needed for their small RV solar setup. After a few adjustments to power flow and charge setup, it works wonderfully. From a tech point of view, I like the flow-through 50A service and ease of installation.
Ordered Monday night at 6:30 pm and it showed up Thursday at noon with the free shipping option. Can’t beat that! Now I get to install over the weekend instead of waiting until the original arrival date of Monday. Will give 4 stars for now until it’s installed and working. Hefty unit at 50 lbs. install in my 2015 Amped 28FS looks like it will be very straight forward. Thanks etrailer for the quick shipping. Now I can’t wait to do some serious boondocking especially when my solar is installed and I can minimize the generator running!
Inverter failed around the one year mark with light use. 1 star for that but 3 stars overall because of GoPowers customer service who provided a replacement without trouble.
Product works designed. It was professionally installed along with instant hot water and 4 vmax tanks.
etrailer always does great!
I finally received my Go Power IC3000 after a nearly three-week delay. Unfortunately, I missed my window of opportunity to get it installed this year, so I am not able to complete a review of the product at this time. I can say, installation is going to be quite a challenge. The item is large and heavy. Finding a suitable location that meets all the requirements is going to be difficult. The batteries are located at the front of the trailer, while the AC lines are on the other side of the basement. Since the inverter cannot be located in the same area as the batteries, I'm not sure I am going to be able to reach everything and maintain the 10' maximum length requirement of the 0000 DC cable. We will see what happens next spring. I will post a follow-up review post-installation if possible.
This unit is well built and ready for 50 amp pass thru. Comes with built in 50amp circuit breakers and Romex clamps. Installed on our 2019 Grand Design Momentum and so far works great. Recommend the remote panel. Bob at GoPower was awesome with customer service and helped me set all parameters for lithium batteries. Sarah at etrailer was great and had shipped out an hour after I ordered to make my need date. I highly recommend GoPower and etrailer.

After a year our ic3000 GoPower inverter has been amazing.
This was a great DIY project. I will be able to boondock and have all the essentials. The inverter/charger was the best addition to my package. I can use a smaller generator because the inverter/charger has power sharing. This is a great feature.
Great product. Instructions were straight forward and easy to follow. Fired it it up and it started providing power immediately. Charging circuit works great too. Batteries topped off and read yo go. Highly recommend this product.

After a full year using this and I still love it. What I really love is that it also boosts voltage during voltage s and when my ems s out for low voltage.
I installed the GoPower 3000w inverter/charger in my fifth wheel trailer. I connected it with three 12v deep cycle flooded cell batteries and a sub panel to send 120v power to all outlets in the trailer. The automatic switch in the inverter has worked flawlessly. Perhaps the best part is the E-Trailer customer support. They answered my calls, actually speak English, and stayed with me until my questions were answered
Item arrived beat to crap bent really really bad I already called in the second I got it and reported the damage I do not have one coming as a replacement yet I am very upset. Words don't even explain how upset I am I should be up in the mountains right now but I went ahead and sold my inverter to someone else because this one showed it had arrived got back to the shop to find out that it has been damaged in shipping.. on your website I can have one by the 26th you guys should have a replacement for me on its way already or have you guys forgotten what customer service is

So sorry to hear this. We cannot reship on the weekends. Customer Service will reach back out to you.
First timer install. Go Power tech support was well informed and answered my questions and gave good advice. I've been using the system I installed for over a year, and glad I did it myself since I've come across a few instances where it really paid off to know how to configure and debug and what to expect. I've been pleased with the performance and interoperability with my lithium batteries and solar charge controller.
This fuse pairs well with the IC3000 inverter/charger, and handled 4/0 cable with ease. IT is the size recommended by GoPower for the IC3000. Quality materials that I expect to last a long time.
I received the unit lickety-split. Impressive since too many vendors think Alaska is not part of the US..."can't/won't ship to a 'furrin' country!"
Although it's a balmy -4°F outdoors, that's not conducive to doing an installation, so, I opted for a bench test in the heated garage: Temporarily splice in some 14 AWG 110VAC AC cords, one in, another out, clip in the remote control and connect a 12V battery.
The inverter started right up when activated and with an inspection light plugged into the 110VAC output, I put the unit through its paces...i.e., all the permutations of un/plug "shore" power, load, battery etc.
Darned if it didn't behave exactly as I would hope and expect.
The remote & its UI provides all parameters I could reasonably desire and after exploring all of them, played with dis/enabling the battery charger as well as the inverter. All while monitoring the battery with a separate digital voltmeter.
Again, it behaved exactly as I would have expected.
Now, a really thorough pre-installation bench test would involve a 2-pole, 50A "shore" input and load box. Based on what I've seen though, I'm optimistic this unit will work very well as part of a serious solar/battery/inverter upgrade for our "new" used moho, a 2002 Winnebago Journey 32' DP.
When Spring comes next year, and I install this inverter as part of adding serious boondocking capabilities, I'll update the review.
In the meantime, this is an impressively feature-rich, and powerful inverter, and earns a top rating from me.
The inverter does what I need it to. Charges the battery bank from my solar and wind setup, seamlessly switches from battery bank to shore power/generator. Automatically turns on when supplied with shore power, turns off when you disconnect it.
I do wish the charge/not charge setting was “Sticky” between power cycles, but that is minor. Also would be nice to have built in or integrated options for solar and wind dump load.
The item arrived fairly quickly in good shape. Instructions were clear. My son and I installed it without any issues. It works great and is quiet.

After a year I am still loving it! Before I had a smaller inverter powering 1 circuit for the outlets in the bedroom of my toyhauler trailer, but with this inverter it powers everything in the trailer no problem. The 50 amp pass through works great and charges my LiPo batteries fully.
I had several questions about I/C and was routed to appropriate people to get answers. Each person was nice and very helpful. Received product in timely manner and packaged well. Will be installing tomorrow in our 5th wheel trailer for dry camping. I/C seems to be a very substantial product, definitely not cheaply made.
Very good service e trailer has people that can help you get what your looking for Thanks adam
The whole experience was a hell of a lot better than Amazon. Working with your sales asso. Montrell was awesome. Very personable and professional. Thank you for the great service.

I finally got the inverter installed. I had to mount it in the basement area from the ceiling. The install was difficult, but overall it went well. A tip: If you order the installation kit fuse and cables you will need to modify the cables. Because of the relative stiffness of these cables must be exact length. I had to make a short cable from the fuse to the inverter, and separate cables from the batteries to terminal blocks on the side wall. This required additional purchase of 40 crimper and lugs. Also had to buy the terminal blocks plus additional 6-3 AC cable and rewire of my main panel. I have now put the trailer away for the winter and not really able to test it fully, but it does seem to work. I would love to show pictures, but I dont have an upload option available.
