Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this SmartPlug stainless steel single exterior cable jack. Now, this exterior cable jack will allow you to easily connect your RV to your campground cable services or satellite. You can see that it uses a coaxial F-type connector. And it has, has a nice stainless steel weatherproof cover with a foam gasket on the inside that'll help protect this inlet when it's not in use.
So, when you're unplugged and you're closing it, then you flip the lid down, snaps into place. And then that seal around there will make it weatherproof. And then to use it, just pop open the cap. And you can see the cap does extend pretty much 180 degrees. And this is a very easy installation.
Comes with the included silicone gasket that'll line up to the mounting holes. Now, the mounting hardware is not included. And when you do install this, no caulk is needed. This silicone gasket would work fine just to seal it. Now, the construction on this, all the external metal parts are a marine-grade 316 stainless steel.
The plastic parts are UV and heat resistant plastic. It's a nice durable stainless steel construction. It is made in the USA. But again, just to lift that open, plug it in, unplug it, and then flip your lid close just like that. But that should do it for the review on this SmartPlug stainless steel single exterior cable jack..

Installation was very easy, I took about 15 minutes. All the factory holes aligned up and no other modifications were needed.
Review from a similar Cable Jack in RV Power Inlets
Excellent in fit, form, and function. Utilized this to update my classic Beaver Coach to have internet installed. Just had to run a Cat 5 or Cat 6 Cable from the back of this, to a new wall port in the master suite, then I installed the router, etc after. Now I can hook up to internet at the parks, or my home easily.
