Today we're going to take a look at the Polk Audio 5-Channel Class D Power Amplifier. Now this Polk marine-certified power amplifier is capable of bridging two full range into a single full range channel with higher output power. For instance the front channels left and right when wired correctly will increase the output power from 70 watts per channel to 200 watts per channel for a full onload 00:00:23 load. The same can be done for the rear channels. This is a super-efficient Class D design so it runs much cooler than conventional amps. It has the high-speed MOSFET switching power supply. It does have protection thermal DC offset, reverse DC voltage and short circuit protection.
It does have Sub-1 and Sub-2 inputs. The line level inputs for subwoofer signal from the head unit. It does have a SUB/INT source switch in the INT position the amplifier will filter the base frequencies from the full range signal and send them to the subwoofer amplifier channel. Has a SUB sonic filter which accentuates the frequencies below the settings on the control. Has a remote bass level control to set the gain to match the output from the head unit. Has a rear full HPS switch so that selects between no filtering or a high-pass filter to dial in your speaker's blending. Does have a channel mode for a channel or a stereo.
In the ST stereo position the amplifier will send the same signal to the front rear channels. Does use nickel-plated wire terminals and RCA connectors to ensure maximum signal transfer. It is using a inaudible 00:01:33 stainless steel hardware throughout this amplifier so they will not corrode in humid environments. This part includes everything shown her on the table. The amplifier itself. The remote level control.
Remove level control wire. Stainless steel mounting hardware and a nice owner's manual describes how this operates. Now this weighs about 7 pounds. Give you some overall dimensions on this. Total overall length is going to be right about 13-5/16 wide.
The depth on it is going to be right at about 6-3/4". Height is going to be right about 1-13/15 of an inch tall. That should do it for the review on the Polk Audio 5-Channel Class D Power Amplifier.
