Video Transcript for Furrion RV Stereos - In-Cab Stereo - DV3100 Review

Today we're going to take a look at the Furrion Wall Mount Entertainment System with NFC and Bluetooth, 160 watts of power. Now this entertainment system will provide audio entertainment in your RV. It does use the SMART technologies to ensure stereo will work whenever you want it to. The Climatesmart technology withstands even the most extreme climates. The Signalsmart technology will block static and interference, and the Vibrationsmart technology will help your stereo resist vibration in the RV. The nice sleek modern design, which is very pleasing to the eye, does use a blue backlighting to make the buttons very easy to see. You can play audio off of CDs and DVDs by inserting them right in here.

It does have a USB port which you can connect with your USB connected devices to play audio from. It is compatible with WMA, MP3, MP4 and AVI file formats. It does use the NFC quick-touch and Bluetooth capabilities to let you stream music wirelessly directly from your device. A hands-free Bluetooth connection will let you take calls through the stereo. It does have multiple connection points to let you link other devices to the stereo. The front here, it has an AUX-IN socket, there's a headphone socket and a USB port, and on the rear there's two AV outputs.

Here's one of them, here's the other one. There's one Audio-In, which is these two right here, and then this green plugin is the subwoofer output, and then your connector sockets are right over here for plugging in your pigtails for your speaker and your power connections. The round one down here is for your antennae. Now the dual zone in this system, will output, will let you play music in two separate rooms, or you can play it in one room and the outdoors. The video output I mentioned on the front, that AUX-IN socket, this will allow your stereo to function as a DVD player when connected to your television. Using this included audio-video output cord, you just plug that into the AUX-IN socket, plug your three plugs into your TV and then this can be a DVD player. Now this part does include everything shown here on the table, the stereo, a nice, thin, small remote, it's an infrared remote.

I mentioned the audio-video output cord, your speaker and power connectors, which again will plug right into the back right here, and the nice instruction manual that will go over all the details of this system. Again the specs on this, the wattage is 160 watts, so it's 40 watts per speaker, it's four speakers. The mounting opening dimensions, in other words the size of the opening you need for this to insert into, it's going to be seven inches wide, the height on it is going to be right at two inches tall, and then the depth of it from the back here to the very furthest part is going to be right at six and three-quarter inches. Now the front face itself, give you some measurements on that. Overall length is going to be seven and three-quarters. The height on it is going to be right at four-and-a-quarter inches, and the depth is going to be right about three-quarters of an inch. Now the pigtail length on these when you plug these into the back it's going to give you about eight inches, pigtail length on both of the connectors.

And the audio-video output cord length, if we unravel that, is about 60 inches long. But that should do it, for the review on the Furrion Wall Mount Entertainment System with NFC and Bluetooth and 160 watts of power.

First off, shipping was insanely fast! Of course, free was a bonus. Ordered it on Sunday, got it on Wednesday. The item was exactly as described. Only took me about 15 minutes to install. Sounds great. Works well in all modes that I tested (AM, FM, CD, DVD, Bluetooth, and AUX). Didn't have a USB handy, but that will be my next check. Picture is fine. Not HD because of the RCA connections instead of HDMI, but hey, it's only connecting to a 24 inch TV, so I am not expecting movie theater quality. I guess the only question is how it will hold up on the road. This is my 3rd or 4th purchase from etrailer and I have always been extremely satisfied. Oh the product videos are great! Keep up the good work! 679009

It is a great radio/DVD player with a ton of features and is extremely user friendly. It fixed my problem completely for less than half of what the dealership wanted. We ordered a newer year model trailer than the one that was on display at the dealership with the DVD Player already Installed. My trailer arrived, and the manufacture no longer offered the DVD player with our model. I was able to install it myself, and the instructions were very helpful. 465980

Do you have a question about this RV Stereo?

  • Replacement Remote for the Furrion Stereo 3100
  • I do have a remote that will work for you but the one from a Furrion Stereo 7100 will not work with your Furrion Stereo 3100 part # DV3100. The correct remote for your Furrion Stereo 3100 should have a DV3100 in the lower right hand corner (see photo). We do not offer this remote as a replacement part but we do have the Furrion Unismart Universal Remote Control part # FUTVRS1-BL which will work with your Furrion Stereo 3100 and allow you to fix the parental control issue.

  • Replacement Remote for Furrion Stereo DV3100
  • I do have an option for you but there would be no way to control both your Furrion stereo and Summit TV using the same remote. They are two completely different manufactures and do not make their products compatible with one another. The Furrion Unismart Universal Remote Control part # FUTVRS1-BL will allow you to control both a stereo and tv but they both have to be a Furrion product. I have attached a list of the Furrion TV's we offer. If you choose to just replace the remote on your...

  • Adding Speakers and Subwoofer to Furrion Stereo # DV3100
  • The Furrion Stereo with Bluetooth and NFC # DV3100 that you have installed on your Keystone Bullet Premier Trailer is a really nice stereo system. It will work well with speakers from 4 to 8 ohms (and 40 watts each), so as long as the new speakers you plan on adding fall within this range, the system will be able to handle the upgraded units just fine. As you mentioned, the stereo does also feature a subwoofer terminal so a powered unit like the Jensen # JMPSW800 can be added. This is...

  • How to Mount the Furrion Stereo with Bluetooth Part # DV3100
  • The Furrion Stereo with Bluetooth and NFC part # DV3100 is designed to be mounted inside a cabinet or wall as shown in the attached photo. They do not make an under cabinet mount specially for this stereo. However, you may be able to modify the Jensen Under Cabinet Stereo Housing part # 2015000 to work for you though again is not specifically designed for the above stereo.

  • How Does the Furrion RV Indoor Speaker # FS3W Connect to the TV
  • The Furrion RV Indoor Speaker # FS3W that you referenced is meant to be connected to the stereo in your RV, like the Furrion Stereo with Bluetooth and NFC # DV3100. This can, in turn, be connected to your TV via the RCA (Red, White, Yellow) connectors or however your stereo connects to your TV. You will simply need to connect the Red wire with the Black tracer on it into the Black "tab" connector on the back of your stereo and the solid Red wire will insert into the Red "tab" on the back...

  • How to Completely Turn off Power to Furrion RV Stereo
  • The Furrion RV Stereo # DV3100 will only go into "standby" mode if you just hit the power button. In order to turn the unit completely off you need to long press the power button, which will turn the entire unit off, as you can see by the cut out of the linked directions I added. Also, please keep in mind if you will not be using the unit for an extended period of time to disconnect the main power to the unit.

  • RV Wall Mount that Can Fit Furrion and Jensen TVs
  • In general TVs like the Jensen 50 inch part # JE5015 and Furrion 55 inch TV part # FEUS55F7A use the same type of mounting system like the Omnimount TV Wall Mount # 292-000001 for a wall mount. This is because the TV manufacturers use an industry standard mount bolt pattern referred to as VESA.

  • What Would Cause Music To Play On Both Zones With Only One Selected On the Furrion RV Stereo DV3100
  • The issue you are having with the Furrion RV Stereo part # DV3100 is in regards to how the speakers are wired to it, not so much that the device is malfunctioning. That would be the only way that both inside and outside speakers would play no matter the zone that is selected. Therefore, you will need to remove the stereo from the wall and then reconnect the wires according to the attached photo. The (A) is for zone 1 and the (B) is for zone 2.

  • Troubleshooting No Sound for TV Using Furrion DV3100 Stereo
  • The audio and video output of the Furrion Stereo with Bluetooth and NFC # DV3100 is three RCA style connectors at the rear of the stereo. Most likely you have them connected already but I'd check that first. From there you'd want to check the speaker setup you have. It's pretty easy to not use the correct setting on surround sound setups so you might cycle through the various settings on the receiver and most likely you'll find the correct one to use.

  • Can the Furrion RV Stereo DV3100 Be Used with a Bluetooth Speaker
  • I spoke with Furrion about the Bluetooth capability of the Furrion RV Stereo part # DV3100. They stated that you indeed cannot use the unit to transmit audio to an external Bluetooth speaker. They also stated that it would not work with any sort of Bluetooth adapter through the USB port. Therefore, in order to play audio using the above unit you will have no other option but to install a set of wired speakers like the Jensen Coaxial Indoor RV Speaker part # 1103030. There are a set of red/white RCA cables that will go to a stereo like the Furrion Stereo part # DV3100 and then a set of three wires; one for power, ground, and remote. • How to Access Wiring at the Back of Installed Furrion Stereo # DV3100
  • If the Furrion Stereo # DV3100 is mounted flush against a wall of your RV you will need to remove it in order to gain access to the outlets in the back. There is a plastic shell at the front of the unit that you will need to pull off to access the mounting screws. Once the shell is taken off and the screws are removed you should be able to take out the stereo so that you can plug your DVD and TV wiring in. I have attached an image to assist.

  • How Does Furrion Stereo # DV3100 Normally Wire to Amp and Subs
  • We do not have any type of quick-install adapters for wiring up an amp. We don't really have any amp wiring kits at all. You'd need to run the sub-out from the # DV3100 to the amp with the RCA style connection and then you'd use an amp wiring kit with heavy gauge speaker wire to power the subs.
