Video Transcript for Furrion RV Stoves and Cooktops - Cooktop - FGH3Z25BL Review

Today, we're taking a look at the Furrion RV Range Cooktop. Now, this range lets you cook with precision, consistency, and safety. It can be used solo, so as-is. It could also be used in conjunction with a range hood or with a dish drawer. It features the three-burner design, so two here in the back, one up towards the front. This range is designed to mount flush to an RV countertop. Here on the backside right here, there's an inlet for the propane gas connection, and then also I want to mention that the cabinet cutout measurements are included in the instructions, so I'll do my best to show that to you real quick, and then towards the end of the video when I go over the overall measurements, I'll go over in detail the cabinet cutout measurements, but the cabinet cutout measurements are located right here.

It's got the nice diagram, and then it goes through all the different cutouts that are needed to get this to fit.Again, flush mount installation. Owner's manual. Installation instructions. All that's included. I have a few features about this unit that I want to cover.

It has the enamel top tray treatment that protects the surface from burned on spills. We have the control knobs here at the front, so this is like a pulse ignition switch, so that's what that one is right there. This knob, the other three, one, two, and three, these control your burners, so this one controls that back left burner. This one controls the center. This one controls the back right, and then right here, we have a light switch which allows our knobs to glow.

That way, they are easily visible and that's easily turned on and off. The only thing that you need to get that wired up is on the back of the unit. There's two wires. There's a white wire and a black wire. We'll pull these out a little bit to show you.

Right here, these are the wires that connect to a 12 volt power supply. White is ground. Black is our main power.Right here, we have the tinted glass cover. Now, as you can see, when it's folded up like when we're using the cooktop, this acts as a really nice flash guard towards the back of the unit, and then when it's not in use, it comes down, covers up that cooktop surface. Keeps everything protected. Also, the grate is removable. It is included. It is removable for easy cleaning. The other thing I like about this grate compared to some other cooktops that I've seen is the grate actually snaps into place in these rubber connectors, so that way, when you're driving or when your camper RV's in motion or movement, you don't have to worry about this rattling around, shaking, or falling out, so it's a nice design of the unit, as well. The front plate right here, that's black in color. Everything else is stainless steel. When it comes to the overall dimensions, I took a measurement outer edge to outer edge and got a measurement of 21 7/16". From the bottom of the unit to the top of the unit was 4 3/16". From the very front of the knob to the very back of the unit measured 21 1/8" deep. Now, when it comes to the input, again, electrical is 12 volt DC, two-wire design, and gas is propane. When it comes to the output for the left and right cooktop burner, it's 6500 BTU. For the middle, it's 8000 BTU.Temperature range around 325 degrees Fahrenheit to 475, and when it comes to the inlet pressure, that's 10" water column minimum to 13.8" water column maximum. The last thing I want to go over with you real quick, again, part of those cutout measurements. Right here, we have A, B, C, D, E, F. A is basically the measurement that we need from the front to the back, so that's gonna be our overall depth. That's gonna be 17 3/4". B is our width. Needs to be 20 1/8", and then C is the depth, and that needs to be 4 1/16". Then, D, E, and F are these small measurements like cooktop overhand, 15/16" max. E is the cooktop or the, excuse me, countertop thickness, 1 9/16" max, and then F is this measurement here towards the back of the unit. Basically, how much space you need at the back of the countertop left. 2" minimum. That's gonna do it for today's look at the Furrion RV Range Cooktop.

I love the looks of this stove top. It’s sleek and modern. We installed it in our 2017 Airstream. It’s beautiful. My only complaints would be that I’m curious how durable the glass top will be and the hinges to the top stick up slightly. I’m not sure if this will even matter though. I love how the top opens and how the knobs light up. And the price is great especially compared to other options on the market that have recessed stove tops. 636187
