Need to brighten up your hallway for those late night bathroom breaks or snack times? Or perhaps you simply just want to upgrade the accent lighting near your furniture? This wall light has warm a white LED bulb that is bright enough to light up your RV's walkway, bedroom, or other living space, and the included white and silver shade softens that light so it's not too harsh.
LED bulbs are more energy efficient, last longer, and burn brighter than lights with incandescent bulbs. You won't have to worry about dealing with bulbs that have brittle filaments. And because LEDs draw minimal power, the light won't drain your battery or overload your circuits.
This sidewall light is incredibly easy to install either as an upgrade or a replacement of your existing light. Using hardware (not included), bolt the light down onto an interior wall of your RV or camper. The light can be turned on and off with the built-in push button, or it can be wired to a light switch. The 2-wire design hooks up to ground (white wire) and power (black wire).

Hey guys, Kevin at etrailer. And today I'm gonna be showing you how to install the Gustafson 12-volt RV, LED light with lampshade, here on our 2007 Fleetwood Bounder motor home. So our neighbor today wanted to kind of update the look of his motor home, and also he had some issues with some water damage in the wall which was affecting his light. As you can see, it's all rusted out. Starting to rust through onto the front as well. So it is noticeable.
So it was time to swap over. And this light offers a much more contemporary design with the rectangle lampshade versus your old, tan, rounded lampshade and incandescent bulb. So our new light is a simple push button on or off. It is a simple two wire design with a power and a ground. So it's not gonna be a hard installation, simply pop off your old light and splice on your new light wires.
So to start off our installation we're gonna remove our two screws and hold our base. So it's kinda fighting me a bit. Looking at it, if you can see, there's already some corrosion. So there probably was some water damage in the wall here itself 'cause this other screw isn't really biting into anything But it's not wanting to come back out for me. You can see all those little flakes starting to come down and you can see water was resting right here behind our base.
So we already had the water damage issue solved from previous stuff that we've done on this slide out, but this would be a good time, if you saw this to start looking around on your camper making sure that you're not having any leaks anywhere. But we're gonna go ahead, I'm just gonna snip this, kinda release our lines. So we're gonna use some butt connectors. Just pop 'em onto our wiring in our trailer first. And then we will crimp those down.
And then we can hook up our wiring for our light. Now I already know that our blue wire is our power wire for our trailer and our black is our ground on our light. Our black is going to be our power and our white is going to be our ground. So I'm actually gonna bend that in half, just kind of thicken that up just a bit. Push that up in there. And we can crimp that down. Now we can go ahead and test our light. And as you can see it is working so we can go ahead. We'll push our wiring back up into our wall here. And once we get all of that fully up in there, We can go ahead and start mounting through our mounting holes. Now these aren't the same as our old light, so I will be making some new holes here. Gonna peel back our plastic. So now we can go ahead and screw in our light. This side, I'm gonna step back and just kinda make sure this is centered before I put in my other screw. Well, I think that about does it for today's installation of the Gustafson 12-volt LED RV light with lampshade here on our 2007 Fleetwood Bounder motor home. My name's Kevin. Thanks for watching..
