Excellent product! The item was out of stock but communication with ET was on great. They notified me of when the unit would be available and when it was shipped and delivered as well. It was in good condition other than being a bit scuffed up by the shipping company. It fit my 31' 5R just fine and the welder took only an hour to install it. Very sturdy product! It'll work perfectly for my bikes and would likely work just fine for a Moped as well. One word of caution; you will likely have to purchase an extension (mine is 8") for the receiver if you have a fiberglass body. It makes the bikes wobble a lot more so you'll have to use tie-down straps (a good idea anyway). Very happy with this. 219967

This is my 2nd Ultra-Fab Trailer Hitch I have ordered and installed from etrailer. There is a reason for that, it is a great product! I have never been disappointed from any etrailer product. The service is next to none at etrailer! The Ultra-Fab Hitch is very well made, with quality craftsmanship. I would not hesitate to order again. (If I have to! Dang Hail Storms in Wyoming!) 383468

Received the Ultra-Fab 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver for 5th Wheel Trailer Frame as promised. Installation was simple. Once positioned, clamped it and started welding. Centered the receiver and tightened the bolts then added a spot weld for backup. 270804

Do you have a question about this RV Hitch?

  • Recommended Hitch for Rear of Fifth Wheel Camper for Bike Rack
  • We do offer some frame mounted RV hitches, which you can see by clicking the provided link. To determine which hitch would work best, you will need to measure the distance between your frame members, measured from the outside of one frame member to the outside of the other. If this distance is between 47-71 inches, the Ultra-Fab # UF35-946403 would be my recommendation. There are a few things to be aware of when using an RV mounted hitch like this: 1) The hitch itself is rated...

  • Recommended Hitch and Bike Rack Options for Rear of Heartland Bighorn 3610RE 5th Wheel Trailer
  • Before attempting to install a hitch on the rear of a 5th wheel, I always recommend you consulting the 5th wheel manufacturer to ensure that the rear structure of the 5th wheel is strong enough to handle the weight of the bike rack and the bikes it carries. I called Heartland, who confirmed that using a hitch on the rear of your 5th wheel is acceptable, but you should not under ANY circumstances use the hitch for towing. Although the capacity of the hitch might be greater, Heartland states...

  • Recommended Receiver Hitch for Rear of Forest River Fifth Wheel
  • I'd begin by contacting Forest River to ensure that the frame members at the rear of your fifth wheel have sufficient capacity to carry the weight of the carrier and the scooter without damaging anything. If Forest River gives you the go-ahead, I'd recommend the # UF35-946403 hitch, which is compatible with frame members that are between 47-3/8 to 77 inches apart, measured from the inside of the frame. This hitch is a weld on application, and has a 350 lb tongue weight capacity, meaning...

  • Recommended Hitch for Carrying Bike Rack on Rear of Keystone Outback 210RS Travel Trailer
  • If the outside to outside dimension of the frame members of your RV is between 22-72 inches, the Curt # 13703 would work for your RV. The brackets would need to remain in the orientation shown in the product description photos. Because of the nature of your frame, I'd recommend a hitch that attaches to the underside of the frame member, part # UF35-946403 from Ultra-Fab. This hitch is a fit for frame members that measure between 47-77 inches apart, outside to outside. The Curt # 13703...

  • We do offer hitches designed for installation on trailer and RV frames. We also offer bumper-mount RV hitches that can be installed on certain RVs that have a continuously-welded (not spot-welded) steel bumper. Both types can be seen by clicking on the linked page. We offer two frame-mount hitches that can fit on a 72-inch-wide trailer frame (measured from the outside of one rail to the outside of the other). • How to Carry a Generator on an A-Frame Travel Trailer
  • I have a great solution for you that will not require adding a hitch to the trailer so you won't have to move the spare tire and mount. Take a look at the Stromberg-Carlson cargo carrier # CC-255. It mounts at the front of an A-frame trailer frame and has a 300 pound capacity. It holds the generator up above any propane tanks, jack, or other items already present at the front of the trailer. This unit will also be more stable than a hitch and cargo carrier mounted at the back of a trailer.

  • The widest motor home frame width for which we offer a trailer hitch is 77-inches as measured from outside edge to outside edge at the two frame rails. The hitch we offer for that maximum frame dimension is the Ultra-Fab # UF35-946403. This hitch offers 350-lb tongue weight and 3500-lb gross trailer weight ratings and it has a 2-inch receiver opening. All of these have a square cross tube, 2-inch receiver opening and are rated for either 3500-lbs or 5000-lbs gross trailer weight. In your application I recommend one of the higher-capacity hitches. • For your 2017 Jayco Jay Flight SLX 267BHSW travel trailer, I recommend the Ultra-Fab 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver for Trailer Frames # UF35-946403. This is a very nice weld on option adjustable from 47-1/8 to 77 inches. For a bolt on option, I recommend the Curt Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 22" to 72" Wide # 13703. • Since generators are so heavy I do not recommend mounting it on the rear bumper of your Jayco travel trailer. What I recommend is to install a frame mounted hitch at the back of the trailer which will be a stronger and safer connection point. We have several hitches that could work and I have provided a link to them for you. If the frame spacing is 18 to 51 inches then I recommend hitch # C13702. This hitch has a maximum tongue weight rating of 350-lbs. Bike racks suitable for use on an RV are designed specifically for that purpose. The receiver is welded to the bottom of the cross tube which is 2 inch hollow steel for the adjustment of the inner arms.
